Not Just A Games Console; A Feature Packed Entertainment Thingy!

Advantages: Good looking, Entertaining, Easy to use, lots of features.
Disadvantages: on the expensive side, not as many 'exclusive' games as other consoles

...Almost two years ago Sony brought out two more versions of the PS3 because simply they weren't selling enough of the 80GB version, so out came the 40GB and 60GB; two consoles cheaper than the first model with lots of useless features removed. Some time later and this has done Sony no good at all, the PS3 is still the worst selling console. And I have no idea why.... Gaming - If you have a HD TV I would suggest you buy a HDMI cable because the console is not supplied with one and having one just takes the gaming experience to a whole new level. The Games collection may not be as big as that of the Xbox 360 but it has all the major titles and some okay exclusives like 'Metal Gear Solid 4'. ...During the 1990s, if you had a games console you would have probably been in one of two camps: Sega or Nintendo. I certainly was rooted firmly in the Sega camp having had a Mega Drive for many, many years with games like Street of Rage, Ecco the Dolphin and of course, Sonic the Hedgehog. ...Having seen the advert for this game i was desperate to buy it as i have not had my wii for that long and i do not have many games. Mario & Sonic at the Winter Olympic Games (Wii) is an 'ok' game.

Advantages: Lots of sports, can play with balance board, ability to play with a mii, dream events are fun.
Disadvantages: No real story, Balance Board controls poorly on most mini-games, might get boring quickly.

...First off, Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games is yet another mini-game collection. The Wii has seen a large amount of these types of games lately, so if yet another one is going to appear on the Wii, it had better be a good one. And that's the problem with this particular game. ...It was my daughter's fourth birthday recently and one of the presents she received was a Dora the Explorer game pack, This pleased her no end as she is a huge Dora fan. The Dora game pack consists of a backpack, just like the one that Dora carries with her, and inside there are four packs of cards in order to play lots of different games. Some of the games are quite old fashioned ones like I used to play when I was a child. These include Old Maid and Go Fish and I have really enjoyed teaching both my daughters how to play these games. The backpack itself is made of a purple canvas material and has a smiley face on it. It is a reasonable size that is just right to fit on my four year old's back. ...I love funfair games and had been looking at this game for a long time before my partner decided to buy it for my birthday. On the back of my case it says "Experience all the fun and excitement of the funfair with carnival funfair games" You can create your player from a very limited choice but you can buy more things once you have won some tickets. This is a single or multi player game, with prize mode for single and head to head or competition for multi player. I played the single player game first where you play to win tickets and virtual prizes, the tickets you use in penny pushers or grabbing machines there are a few others too which I won't spoil for you because I found these the best part of the game. As you play the game and win prizes you turn them into bigger prizes this moves you closer to unlocking the extra games...

Carnival Funfair games: Wii

Advantages: Cheap, very fun!
Disadvantages: No good for young children, and it doesn't "progress" much.

...This game is so fun!!! We got it with our Wii when we bought it and we got a little addicted to it!! Its got a variety of games on it which you can play which you find at real carnivals and funfairs! Games such as Coin toss, ball in a bucket, milkbottle tumbe and loads more!! You earn points and unlock prizes and more games as you go (my favourite prize is the G-Raff on the duck hitting game!!!!!!) It can be played by up to 4 players and if you only have one controller it accomodates this!!! As well as been a great game, its cheap too!! The only thing with it, is that some of the games don't last very long, and once you've unlocked the few games extra you can get, the game doesnt progress, but that is the only fault, and as a game to play to pass the time and have a good laugh in the head to head mode, its a great game to have a good...
