A simple mouse pad

Advantages: Quite big, made well, range of colours, good grip on surface
Disadvantages: Plain not to everyones taste

...not fancy just does what I need it to, its not glossy on the surface so the mouse doesn’t skid and it has a good grip I) for the mouse ball on the surface which is nylon and ii) on the desk which is polished wood where the underside is neoprene non-slip backing. This is like sponge so the pressure of the mouse keeps the pad in pace as it presses it onto the surface of the desk. You may think I’m mental but checkout your mouse matt, how many times have you been at a vital point in a game or rushing your mouse to get a bid in on ebay. Has your mat ever given up on you, ripped or held dirt and applied it to your mouse ball, have you ever washed your mouse mat surface, if yes how annoying was that, wouldn’t it have been better to have a mat that was disposable that cheap you could just through it away and replace it...

Logitech Game Pad

Advantages: Good design, not too expensive, simple installation.
Disadvantages: Force feedback doesn't work properly, only average battery life.

An Elite Gaming Mouse

Advantages: Great shape, Great control, Very Durable

This is where the mx518 came into the equation. I first got my mx518 after upgrading from my recently deceased, mx510, the earlier model. I have used over ten different mice in my times and yet the mx518 is at the top of the list in competition to a few others. The mx518 in the box has a simple design. Advantages: Smooth, fast, sensitive, looks cool, isn't cordless so no battery to worry about
Disadvantages: Isn't cordless so can limit movement, not for left handed people

...Point program itself allows you to select the sensitivity of the mouse by how many dots per inch (DPI) it can detect. The lowest is 800, next is 1200, while the highest and most sensitive is 1600 DPI. Although it doesn't sound like it should be worth the effort changing, in games it becomes very useful. That setting of 1600 has led from me being continuously being murdered in shooting games (due to me being too slow and too stuttery in my aim) to being godlike in shooting games! Headshots galore with this mouse! If I wanted to, I could shoot the enemy's knob off even before they realise it. It glides the crosshair so smoothly at maximum DPI that you do not want to change it ever to keep your advantage. Advantages: Looks amazing, extremely responsive
Disadvantages: Pricey, software not that intuitive

...zip across your screen with the tiniest of movements. Don't worry, as the software that comes with this mouse allows for tweaking movement preferences to your hearts content. The on-the-fly switching is extremely useful too - I use a slower setting for using my desktop and can bump up the sensitivity without having to fiddle with any settings if I feel like a quick game. You can even save up to 5 profiles if just changing the dpi on the fly isn't enough for you. The drivers installed easily and the software offers almost endless settings but looks a bit naff and is not the most intuitive to use. But this is a minor flaw in what is an amazing product. At around £35, it is pretty steep for a mouse. But I would say it is definitely worth it....

...Two great mouse surfaces for the price of one! Oneside has been designed for speed and the other side has been designed for control. I use the pad in conjunction with a Razer Mouse and gone of the days of lost mouse control. My own preference is to use the speed surface. The pad is large rectangular aluminium sufface covered by Razer's own special surface. To feel I would say the surface is some kind of advanced plastic coating. Both sides are uniquely different, the speed side of the pad more fine than the control side surface. To complete the feel I also go the Exactmat Hand rest, a gel filled rest that allows long and continued gaming. If your a hardcore gamer and need that little more control I would definately recomend this pad, not only for the control it offers but also for its cool locks. Recommended....
