...to spend more time playing the games then waiting to play them. The games fit much better into the tray than the first model of the playstation 2. Also the game disks dont because as scratched as they used to. Finally the analog control ad feels much lighter than the original control pad. Also the console comes internet ready meaning that all you have to do is wire the console up to your internet connection and you can play online. With the original console you had to buy an Internet adaptor costing £20 to do so. Bad Features The tray, where you put the games in, is a flip lid. The lid is a little flimsy but should not break if your not too heavy handed with it. The tray on the original playstation 2 is much better because you press a button and the tray comes out. The new design of the console cannot stand up vertically...

Logitech Game Pad

Advantages: Good design, not too expensive, simple installation.
Disadvantages: Force feedback doesn't work properly, only average battery life.

...So, my old joypad was starting to get unreliable, i just couldn't kickflip on Tony Hawks like i wanted to. My Skyline GTR in Need For Speed Underground would suddenly drive into a wall. Time for a new joypad methinks! Walking round PC world, I was simply looking to replace my old Thrustmaster with a similar pad, but it wasn't in stock at the time, and most pads on the shelf had about two buttons like an old NES controller, or cost far too much money. Then my eyes wondered over to this controller. Similar features to my old pad, slightly different button configuration but hey, you can't have everything. The Logitech Cordless Rumblepad 2 ( I never saw the first but never mind) is a robust little pad. I have pretty large hands, and all the controls just sit in the right place. Best Gaming pad around

Advantages: Wireless

...When we bought the Sony PS3 it came with this controller. The controller itself is uses Wireless technology and does come with a charging cable which can be charged by the PS3. You can also buy a Cintroller Charging Station which you put the controllers on when not using and they will charge. The controller has Dualshock which in Game play vibrates, it does this on fighting games when shot or shot at. The controller is an offical Sony product which cost's around £35 but can be bought online for cheaper. Personally I would always but Sony controllers as they are reliable and are guaranteed to work. We have found this item a bonus as we have a 4 year old who loves running around and used to trip over the old wired controllers, now there is no wires to trip over! I would recommend this controller to all gamers as this...

...the slimline is easier to the eye than the eye-sore that was the original playstation 2 console. I have read on the internet where people's slimline playstation 2 has over heated and broke, but the slimline has plenty of vents. The size of the slimline is almost as small as a hardcover book, therefore it easy to carry around whilst on the move. The system is equipped with an integrated Ethernet port for network gaming, unlike the standard playstation 2 where you had to buy the ethernet port, which cost about £20. The slimline still has two usb ports, which is ideal for plugging memory pens into, for saving all your photographs of cars that you have taken on gran turismo 4. ...The ps2 is a great console although it is almost10 years old. It has alot of features that anyone can use with ease. On it you can watch Movies, Play games and also play online with people around the world providing that you can internet access on it. there are a wide variety of games available for it and they are also quite cheap. The playstation itself can come quite cheap with prices starting at £40 in some shops. You might also want to get some accessories for it such as the vertical stand, the eyetoy camera and the DVD remote if you want one. The only bad points about the playstation i would say are the fact that it is quite fragile and would break easily....

...Maybe I?m showing my age here, but I remember one of the first games consoles there was, the Atari 2600, complete with its wood effect case and cartridge games! Since those bygone days many consoles have come and gone with battles being thought between the likes of Sega and Nintendo to be top dog in the world of video gaming. All that has passed before though is the mere under-card to the battle royal being fought here and now between Sony and Microsoft to be the undisputed king in the eyes of the joypad waggling generation with their Playstation 2 and Xbox consoles. ...THE SOFTWARE The PlayStation 2 is the best console of it's generation and arguably the best of all time, with thousands of great games and a large back catalogue of PS1 games, you can always pick up a good game for a bargain. Just because the newer PlayStation 3 is out, doesn't mean that you shouldn't buy a PS2, Its at a cheap price and would cost you 150 pounds to buy the console, some games and get it hooked up online, whereas next gen consoles could cost up to 500 pounds (excluding the Wii, which would take about 250). What I'm saying is, it may be "last gen" but it's great, fun and best of all; Cheap! The PlayStation 2 is a must buy for hardcore and casual gamers alike, if you are casual, play EyeToy Play (camera and game costs 20 pounds these days). If you are hardcore, then God of War and Final Fantasy are great for you...

...good Graphicly as there non portable counterparts but i would go as far as saying the PSP has a better image quality than its Playstation2 Sibling probably due to being unrestricted by a normal Pal TV like home based consoles are and the tiny Screen is true Wide screen format (i've also heard is High definition but i'm not sure about that) game play is controled by a 4 way directional pad on the left sonys stanard triangle square circle cross on the right a single button on each side of the top of the unit marked L and R and a small Analogue stick on the bottom left of the unit below the directional pad this analogue stick is a little fiddly and can be hard to use at times as it slides rather than rotating other features consist of a built in MP3 Player which is quite good the unit is bigger than an ipod but then you can't play...
