An excellent tool for maintaining garden hedges.

Advantages: Light, not too noisy, cuts well, leaves hardly any mess.
Disadvantages: Collecting box could be larger. The handles take a bit of getting used to.

It then rained for a few days after delivery ..., but finally, having watched the enclosed video, and assembled the machine (i.e attached the fixed collection box), I got to the hedge. It works like a Phillishave razor, with a blade rotating behind a plate, so different techniques are needed according to the length and direction of the branches, but the instructional video is easy to follow, and I quickly got good results. Move it side to side for short growth, and pat down on longer twigs. Occasionally there is a branch growing parallel to the face of the hedge which it cannot pick up (think long hairs with an electric razor) so a pair of secateurs is useful, but overall it is fine.
