A series of capillary wicks fan out from the Spyder distributing water across an area of up to 1.2 sq. m. With the Aquavalve at its core, the Spyder draws on the water supply as required by the plants, ensuring a fantastically efficient use of water. The plants' roots instinctively head to the water source, attaching themselves to the capillary wicks. These Plant Halos, from Garland, offer a watering and crop support solution for popular crops such as tomatoes, peppers and beans. Plant Halos can be used on grow bags, in pots (with a diameter of 26cm or greater), raised beds as well as on traditional vegetable plots. The central inner pot creates the planting area, particularly useful when used with grow bags as it allows deeper planting. A 3 litre outer 'moat' features 6 watering spikes which penetrate below the surface, delivering water directly to the roots. It typically takes between 3 and 6 hours for the water resevoir to drain fully, depending on weather & soil conditions. Plant Halos also feature a unique cane support system. 3 anchor slots surround the inner pot & provide the means for a rigid, wind resistant structure using bamboo canes (not included). A cane grip cap is also included & allows for up to 4 canes to be joined at the top of the structure. Cover grids are available as an optional accessory, which prevent dead leaves & foliage from falling into the resevoir. Approx. Diameter - 29 cm Approx Height (excluding watering spikes) - 13 cm
