Garmin Nuvi 200w Sat Nav System

Advantages: Easy to use, does what it's suppsed to do!
Disadvantages: Satellite pairing takes ages, no mains charger!

After extensive researching, price comparison and review reading, I came across the Garmin Nuvi 200w, and a sat nav system that seemed to impress greatly, so i decided to take the plunge and bought one. Much like many of the reviews I had read on the Nuvi 200w, my first impressions of it were very good. I bought the system off the Littlewoods website, as it had been reduced in a seasonal sale that they were having. This meant that the system was on offer for around £30 less than on any other reputable site that I could find it on. The product was well packaged, securely and compactly fitted to an inner cardboard shelf, that meant that the sat nav was unable to move or rattle within the box, therefor limiting the chance of damage during postal delivery to a minimum. ...used my garmin nuvi now for 1 year and a half, being an hgv driver was not sure with sat nav and this was my second unit and heard lots of bad storys of drivers getting stuck! but this machine is bang on with getting you to your destionation, either that be in a city or out in the country side, most of the time i checked between maps and the sat nav unit and 99% it was always taken you a safe route. screen is good and clear.. voice is nice and loud with the 12v power source, but is really quiet when the machine is using its own battery. used mine in europe with no problems but had to buy new map to cover this, was not a problem, just got new disc off garmins web site and installed it into machine. nuvi came with a free trail of speed cam's, and work very well and pick nearly all i went past up, but when trail was over was...

Garmin NÜVI 200 - cheap but cheerful SatNav

Advantages: price, maps, points of interest, speed camera warnings
Disadvantages: extra maps/updates pricy

Garmin nuvi 200W

Advantages: small compact, easy to put in pocket or bag.
Disadvantages: Low battery life. No home charger. Need to charge from car

...walking around and using it is ok as long as you have a fully charged battery. The life of which really only gave me about hour and a half. To use in the car a little disc the size of the windscreen sucker is also given so that can stick to your dashboard then the sucker for the holder can fasten to that so no tell tale signs on the window that you have a devise somewhere in the car. There are better sat navs out there but its what you pay for really. I paid £139:99p and think that you can get more for your money with other units....

Get Safely from A to B with Garmin nuvi 1340

Advantages: Not as annoying as I thought
Disadvantages: Pricey

...Why I Bought It I finally gave in a traded my AA route finder notes (which always got me from A to B) for a Garmin nuvi 1340. Easy to use, easy to see, easy to love GPS

...After doing a lot of online research, I decided to get the Garmin nuvi 200W. The "W" stands for widescreen. It has the exact features ass the Nuvi 200, but a larger screen. We were in Disneyworld, (you can buy additional countries files, to add to your system), and wanted to go to a Build-a-bear store. Not only did it find the store, but give us wonderful directions, that saved us miles over they way we thought we wanted to go. The "voice" is easy to understand. The touch screen is very responsive and easy to use. I am not a "techie", and worried I would have trouble learning how to use this. It is so easy, a child could use it. The graphics are bright. It does not have the ability to "tell" you where to go by voice but it does show you what turnings to take on a small map. At first glance the Edge 705 looks really stylish and impressive. Advantages: All you could need in a watch

...The Garmin Fore runner 305 has been a life saver for me.. if you are a runner and want to track your progress, train against a vitual partner or simple see how far or fast you are running. then i would advise you get this watch. it is light weight are to be honest when you are running you do not really realise that it is there. i use it on every run i do. even if its just a slow recovery run then i will use the heart rate monitor , pace and distance to make sure it is slow and i am not working harder than I should be. i would say that this is well worth the money and perfect for any runner needing a new watch for sporting purposes....

A good Garmin

Advantages: Clear navigation, easy to use
Disadvantages: Camera alert noise gets on your nerves!

I feel that it adds to the ease of use because you can just take off the device, slip it into the carry case and then put the holder into your glove box, while taking the Sat-Nav with you; thus making it very portable. The cable that goes from the cigarette lighter to the device and then to the ariel that you can attach to your windscreen is a little fiddly to get in the first time you try it but you get used to it. One thing that annoys me though is it can get in your way when you are driving if you don't make sure you tuck it away from your gear box. Something to keep the cables tidy would be handy (I tend to use my passenger if I have one....!). One feature that I love about my Garmin is that the screen automatically changes when it gets dark, so that it doesn't reflect too much on your screen. You...
