Advantages: All you could need in a watch

...The Garmin Fore runner 305 has been a life saver for me.. if you are a runner and want to track your progress, train against a vitual partner or simple see how far or fast you are running. then i would advise you get this watch. it is light weight are to be honest when you are running you do not really realise that it is there. i use it on every run i do. even if its just a slow recovery run then i will use the heart rate monitor , pace and distance to make sure it is slow and i am not working harder than I should be. i would say that this is well worth the money and perfect for any runner needing a new watch for sporting purposes....

Advantages: Excellent training aid for heartrate, pace, speed monitoring and recording
Disadvantages: Altimeter not 100% correct

...An excellent training aid. This item gives you heartrate, speed, time taken, lap times, for running, biking, and other sports. This can be downloaded to the included software as your training log and then uploaded to websites such as Google earth where you can view your training mapped against satellite images. I aren't too sure of the accuracy of the altimeter part of the satellite navigation product, but that does not bother my training too much. Another good feature is that on the website mapmyrun.com you can save your run course that you created and upload it to your Garmin and then train against the training pace buddy, with the Garmin telling you if you are behind or in front of the pace that you set. Also if you wander off the course the Garmin will warn you that you have strayed away from the intended path. Overall a must...

...used my garmin nuvi now for 1 year and a half, being an hgv driver was not sure with sat nav and this was my second unit and heard lots of bad storys of drivers getting stuck! but this machine is bang on with getting you to your destionation, either that be in a city or out in the country side, most of the time i checked between maps and the sat nav unit and 99% it was always taken you a safe route. screen is good and clear.. voice is nice and loud with the 12v power source, but is really quiet when the machine is using its own battery. used mine in europe with no problems but had to buy new map to cover this, was not a problem, just got new disc off garmins web site and installed it into machine. nuvi came with a free trail of speed cam's, and work very well and pick nearly all i went past up, but when trail was over was...

A good Garmin

Advantages: Clear navigation, easy to use
Disadvantages: Camera alert noise gets on your nerves!

...at an extra cost. If you don't wish to navigate anywhere but keep it on for saftey cameras or the map then you can also view your trip information. You can see what speed you are going, your moving and overall average, your maximum speed, how many miles you have travelled etc. Overall I think that the Garmin is a good buy. It always gets me from A - B, however the constant dinging of the saftery camera alerts can get a little grinding on a long journey....
