...What would the Great British Summer be without a barbecue? That's what we though in our first summer in our new home so off we set to find our bbq. Not wanting to spend too much on something that was inevitably going to sit redundant for 10 months of the year, this completely met our needs. We purchased this in a sale so it was discounted, so not too sure what this would actually retail at now. Initially we thought a gas bbq would be expensive as you have to buy the gas cannister too, which works out at about £40. However, having struggled with charcoal bbqs in the past, I'm glad we went with gas! It was quite time consuming and tricky to construct from scratch (not the best instructions!) but once fully constructed, it is pretty sturdy. ...~ BBQ DREAM ~ Pringles have been around for years and they do not hesitate in bringing out new and great tasting flavours. They are incredible convenient and I found myself buying a few tubes at the weekend for my brother?s birthday party. Deciding on what flavours was really difficult as I love most of them but I thought that I would get a plain, and two flavoured ones. The barbeque sauce flavoured snacks has to be one of my favourites and this was the first time I had tried them. I am convinced that these are the best flavour and I think they went down a treat. I thought I would try these as firstly they are properly the only ones I haven?t tried yet and two because I love BBQ sauce so thought these would be excellent too. The cover is not that colourful but you can tell what it is and I picked it out from the shelf...

Having moved into a new flat and coming from a flat where all the bills were included in the rent meaning never having to deal with all these companies and now having to set up all the new accounts for things such as electricity, gas and water I found this company particularly tiresome to deal with. Advantages: Complete control over cooking

Money burned by British Gas

Advantages: Large company, synergy, many products offered.
Disadvantages: Price hikes, deparments don't talk to each other

...UPDATE 28.11.08 When I wrote the review below, prices had gone up by 50% since January 2008, with British Gas agents profusely blaming rise in oil prices for rises in both Gas and Electricity. Fair point? By July oil was at a record $147 a barrel at its peak. Since then oil has collapsed to a 2 year low of $52 a barrel and still falling, I spoke to British Gas about this -- they say that gas is already in the system paid for at the old prices! On Radio 4's Today program, they continued along this line when pressed about price rising the moment oil goes up, but stubbornly high when oil comes down. Remember, not a penny has come off gas or electricity - yet when the first wave of oil price rises began in January 2008, gas prices went up by 15% and a further rise of 35% in August. ... TEXAS SAUCE BARBECUE SAUCE PRINGLES Since my daughter got married last year and moved sixty miles away, we probably spend more time with her than we had in year!! Anytime they can she and her husband come up to stay, or we go for the weekend there. These ?get togethers? usually involve several bottles of wine, bottles of beer and masses of savoury snacks.   British Gas make a complete hash.

Advantages: None that I can think of...oh..they have the word "British" in their name
Disadvantages: Customer Service (lack of), Prices, Attitude...oh everything really

...The name "British Gas" always had that comfortable ,solid feel to it. To me it always invoked a sense of something reliable, but probably expensive. Quality service that wouldn't let you down. A company you could trust. Ok, probably a bit pricey, but you knew they'd come up trumps for you. In a way, something akin to the AA (the so called "4th Emergency Service). Best engineers, best service, best of British.. and all that. Hey, I can already hear you sniggering ?. Now I admit I wasn't a customer of BG, as an adult, so my impressions of them were not first hand. These were just memories of living with the parents and what I envisaged when I heard the name. It just had that good wholesome feel to it. When you needed an emergency Gas engineer, you looked in the phone book for British Gas - not some local 'cowboy' Oh how...

Advantages: NOTHING AT ALL

...When I moved into my flat there were two reasons I decided to choose British Gas as my Gas supplier. Firstly there was already a British Gas Pre Payment meter installed, and secondly I chose them because they were a well known name. Well, if only I?d done some research first I could have saved myself a whole lot of bother. My first problem was actually finding a number to ring to get the supply connected. I tried the Yellow Pages and the Thompson local, but although they had a full page add on the back of the Yellow Pages it was for buying a fireplace, not connecting the gas supply. Never mind I thought, I?ll give it a ring anyway, and maybe they?ll be able to give me the number I need. Anyway, they put me on hold for about 10 minutes and then the woman (sounding very huffy) gave me the number I needed. So I rang the number...

...This model, of gas cooker, the 600 SIDODLa is a free standing, stove, with a double oven plus a grill, and also has an automatic programmer. This model is made to suit natural gas, and can also be converted to take LPG, simply by using different jets. You also get an LED for the programmer, which displays the current time as a bonus. I managed to "Scrounge" this cooker from the "Outlaws" second hand, and it has proved to be a little Beaut. It came with a small, but adequate instruction manual. This is just an ordinary cooker, but of course there are two ovens, the upper one is also the grill, and the lower one is the main oven. You can of course use them both together if you require. The ovens have two lights in each of them, and the doors are glass. The main oven is fitted with a fan. The width is 600 mm, average in other words...

Get gassed up for your Summer BBQs.

Advantages: Just so convenient and cheap for the pleasure it gives.
Disadvantages: The gas bottle doesn't fit inside underneath where it should

...So are you bored with all those disastrous BBQs where you invite your friends round, and the heat peaks too early and only half your guests get a well cooked (burnt) burger and all the rest get Steak Tartar burgers ( RAW – get it !!). You stand there blowing frantically into dying embers sending ash everywhere , while telling everyone they’ll only be a few more minutes.
