A Gateway to trouble free computing!

...Normally in the past I had avoided the big brand names for PC's due to the many horror stories that I had heard, but due to a special financing deal they were offering I decided to purchase a PC from Gateway. I'll talk about the four stages that I had to go through 1. Choosing my Computer I logged on to the Gateway UK Site (www.gateway.com/uk) and had a browse through to see the types of systems available, after finding a fairly basic system I went through and chose all of the extra options that I was after (Extra Ram, Bigger Monitor, Larger Hard Drive etc) then clicked Done. I've crammed loads of new hardware into it's well designed shell and it still maintains it's brilliance. I also looked at Novatech, but as I didn’t know much about them chose Gateway, as the prices for the spec I wanted were almost similar. When I was first looking a getting a new PC, I was looking at gateways, £999.99 deal, but was persuaded to buy the one I now have for 1180 (ish). I didn’t need much persuading as the system had nearly double the spec for only £180 pounds. Gateway to a user friendly computing experience

...I have been using my Gateway computer for around 18 months now, and I don't think I could honestly say anything bad about them. The Gateway machine was replacing a Packard Bell (I'll do an opinion on them sometime when I am in a bad mood), so I suppose things could only get better, but my whole experience with Gateway was excellent. To start with, you can order your new PC via a freephone number (and helpful, apparently knowledgable staff at the other end too), a website, or in a high street shop (depending where you live obviously). You are able to fully customise the spec of the PC, so you don't have to buy a prepackaged second rate effort because some business development person recommends selling that spec as the most cost effective!
