Characters' over-riding obsession is not with money as such, but with getting medical insurance - and this must also resonate with many readers. A Gateway to trouble free computing!

...Normally in the past I had avoided the big brand names for PC's due to the many horror stories that I had heard, but due to a special financing deal they were offering I decided to purchase a PC from Gateway. I didn’t need much persuading as the system had nearly double the spec for only £180 pounds. Gateway to a user friendly computing experience

...I have been using my Gateway computer for around 18 months now, and I don't think I could honestly say anything bad about them. The Gateway machine was replacing a Packard Bell (I'll do an opinion on them sometime when I am in a bad mood), so I suppose things could only get better, but my whole experience with Gateway was excellent. To start with, you can order your new PC via a freephone number (and helpful, apparently knowledgable staff at the other end too), a website, or in a high street shop (depending where you live obviously). You are able to fully customise the spec of the PC, so you don't have to buy a prepackaged second rate effort because some business development person recommends selling that spec as the most cost effective!
