Disadvantages: Not hi-tech these days, can be tricky getting the screen in the right position

...on Amazon for about ?65 new, though availability of the GBA new will no doubt reduce as Nintendo try to promote their newer models. I got mine (er? my wife's, I mean? of course?) second hand for ?60 including 3 games (Mario Kart Super Circuit, Road to Westlemania - well it was thrown in for free, I didn't actually want it - and the Gameboy Colour version of Super Mario Bros). Which leads me to another two pros? 1 - Backward compatibility - if you have a load of Gameboy / Gameboy colour games already you don't need to throw them away - you can still play them on GBA. They won't be enhanced in any way of course but you can still play them. 2 - There's a thriving second-hand game market out there for GBA, which is just as well since new games range from about ?15-?35, which I think is a bit steep for a handheld game. GBA SP

Advantages: Comfortable and FUN!
Disadvantages: Needs more games

...I've had my Gameboy Advance SP for a few years now and whilst others have replaced theirs with a Nintendo DS, I'm still happy to play mine, although it is becoming increasingly difficult to get any decent games for it without delving into the shady world of ebay trading. I was given the 'Mario Limited Edition' version of the GBASP as a gift. The bottom section (where the button are) is silver and the top (where the screen is) is red. When closed, the red part has a large red 'M' on it to signify Mario, I assume. I was impressed with the way the GBASP looked. It was much better looking than its predecessor, the original GBA, which was wider and did not fold. The screen is large and clear and displays the gameplay very well. The unit as a whole has a sturdy feel and the fact that, at least four years later, mine is still working...

...During the 1990s, if you had a games console you would have probably been in one of two camps: Sega or Nintendo. I certainly was rooted firmly in the Sega camp having had a Mega Drive for many, many years with games like Street of Rage, Ecco the Dolphin and of course, Sonic the Hedgehog. I was a huge Sonic fan, playing the first and second game until completion and then starting up again a few days later as I loved everything about it, the colours, the gameplay.... everything. ...Having seen the advert for this game i was desperate to buy it as i have not had my wii for that long and i do not have many games. I eventually bought this game and i am so glad that i did as it is great fun. Players This game can be played as a one player or multiplayer as long as you have a wii remote for each player. Also you will need a nunchuck for each player although some of the games you can play with just the remote. Characters In this game you can play as characters from either sonic or mario such as sonic, tails, mario, princess daisy and yoshi. Alex Rider : Storm Breaker GBA version

Advantages: Story(only for the fans of Alex Rider)
Disadvantages: Lenghty, not so good graphics, same boring things to be done over and over again.

I havent played the game on the Game Boy Advance, but I have a computer version of it called Visual Boy Advance, hence I just download all the games of GBA and play them on the computer. I had read the book first, loved it, watched the movie, loved it, hence I downloaded the game as well, didnt love it that much. The game isnt exactly that tough to play, but you'll get used to it. In terms of graphics, its not that great, its not even equal to the clarity of Harry Potter games. The sound is only enjoyable as you play the game, but the game is almost endless, especially to those who dont even know who Alex Rider is. As in terms of difficulty, its fairly easy to master, just that you're supposed to do the same things over and over again. So I just want to end by saying that this product should not be bought by anyone who...

Gives your GBA games a new lease of life!

Advantages: Small, built in back light and re-chargable battery
Disadvantages: Needs adaptor for headphones

...I bought this as an impulse buy. My unplayed yet working perfecty regular Gameboy Advance had lost its appeal. I sat down and wondered why. Fair enough it was portable enough, and the battery life was reasonable. But having to change those everytime they ran out became costly, especially as I had to change the light magnifier batteries aswell. Even with a light maginifier, although it was playable, the screen sometimes strained my eyes. The solution: buy one of these! It has the same hardware specs as the regular old style Gameboy Advance. You don't need to buy special games. But it gives your games a whole new lease of life. For a start they suddenly have clear graphics, and colours you could only barely see appear right before your eyes! You can suddenly have the ability to play your Gameboy at night and anywhere...

Carnival Funfair games: Wii

Advantages: Cheap, very fun!
Disadvantages: No good for young children, and it doesn't "progress" much.

...This game is so fun!!! We got it with our Wii when we bought it and we got a little addicted to it!! Its got a variety of games on it which you can play which you find at real carnivals and funfairs! Games such as Coin toss, ball in a bucket, milkbottle tumbe and loads more!! You earn points and unlock prizes and more games as you go (my favourite prize is the G-Raff on the duck hitting game!!!!!!) It can be played by up to 4 players and if you only have one controller it accomodates this!!! As well as been a great game, its cheap too!! The only thing with it, is that some of the games don't last very long, and once you've unlocked the few games extra you can get, the game doesnt progress, but that is the only fault, and as a game to play to pass the time and have a good laugh in the head to head mode, its a great game to have a good...
