Advantages: Cuts Ironing Time in Half Disadvantages: Heavy, Difficult to Store, Noisy
...As a member of bzzagent.co.uk I get the opportunity to try out new products and then 'bzz' people about the products I have tried and give them honest information about the product I have tried. This review is therefore part of my 'buzz' and will provide accurate product description and purchasing information as well as my own personal experiences with the product.
Do you know that on average we can spend nearly 3 hours a week ironing!!!
Well the Philips GC7220 Pressurised Steam Generator iron claims to reduce this time by half. A bold claim indeed.
How does it do this? Well, as a pressurised steam generator, it claims to do far more than your average iron. Its not just about the steam though, apparently the steam pressure penetrates deeply into those creases and can remove even the most stubborn ones. Bold claims indeed...

Review of Philips GC 7220
Advantages: lightweight, easy to use, cord storage, durable Disadvantages: none as yet!
...I bought my GC2110 Steam iron last year when I decided it was time to retire my old iron, which wasn't really doing what I needed it to do. I had seen these Philips irons around for quite a while and had always thought that I would like to buy one as they are a very good and well known brand, long lasting and does the job. This iron gives you great value for money. I paid around £15 for mine and it came with 6 months guarantee if it broke down, which it didn't.
It has a streamlined design and comes in a range of different colours and slightly different styles depending on the one you go for. The performance so far has been excellent and the most important thing to me besides the fact that it works is that its not too heavy so for elderly and/or disabled people this is perfect.
It has a range of features, such as integrated...

Review of Philips GC2110
...I really hate ironing, so this steam generator has been an absoloute godsend. I was aprehensive to begin with, but I now spend less time doing the ironing. Eventhough I have had steam irons before, if the garment was really badly creased, it would take forever to get the creases out, but with the GC7220 steam generator, the creases seemed to melt away. The booklet says that it gives 3.5 bars of powerful pressure to expel 80grams of steam per minute deeper into your garments, relaxing the fabric and helping you remove all creases in a single stroke. It actually does what it says on the tin.
I found that if I have a larger than normal pile of ironing to do, I'm not filling the reservoir all the time like a normal steam iron, nor do I have to wait long for it to heat up.
Another good point is the ease of ironing, the iron itself...

Review of Philips GC 7220
Advantages: Long cord. Plenty of steam. Reasonable price. Disadvantages: Quite heavy. Water tank needs regular filling. No auto shut-off.
...After a lot of research into what iron to buy for our budget (£40) I decided to buy Philips GC3232 EasyCare iron. I bought it from Curry's at £39.99. Prices online and high street stores are all around the same mark give or take a couple of pounds.
So.. the iron.
My first comment is how easily it glides due to Philips Careeza soleplate which glides easily over all types of fabric that I have been able to test in my home.
The water inlet is rather large (in comparison to irons I have used) with very little risk of spilling water when filling up. Although quite messy if you add too much water and need to it empty out.
It has 3 metres of cord which, for me, is more than enough to manouvre the iron freely across the board (and to reach to the door way so I can watch T.V. while doing the chore!) The cord length is a little harder...
Advantages: Level of steam does the work for you, good size water tank, vertical ironing possible Disadvantages: Large and quite heavy, can be noisy when water is transferring from tank to iron
...I like to Bzz - for the uninitiated, this means I do word of mouth advertising for companies - and last year I took part in the campaign for this steam generator iron.
I was e-mailed by Bzz offering me the chance to participate in the campaign if I purchased the steam generator for £20. Now I am a huge fan of Philips irons - I was already using a Philips GC2510 which I had only owned for about 9 months when I was given the opportunity to get the GC7220. Prior to that I had been using an ancient Philips which I only replaced because the cap keeping the water in the tank had broken - after around 15 years of faithful service. So it was a no brainer to for me really.
The most obvious difference between a regular steam iron and a steam generator is size. The actual iron is a similar size but this sits on a base board linked by a feeder...

Review of Philips GC 7220
Advantages: Quick and easy to use Disadvantages: A bit bulky and a bit expensive
...I was lucky enough recently to be asked to test the Philips GC7220 Steam Generator Pressurised Ironing System. To be quite honest I had never heard of a steam generator before. As ironing is my most loathed household chore an iron is an iron and not really something I spend time looking at in shops or researching on the internet, but when I was offered this to try out and told it claims to make ironing easier and possibly cut down ironing time by 50% then I thought I would give it a try!
A Bit About The Steam Generator Pressurised Ironing System
The Philips GC7220 is blue and white in colour with a stylish easy to use, lightweight iron. It uses 3.5 bars of powerful steam pressure, which release 80g of steam per minute. The steam generator, which is approximately W 9" x L 16" x H 7" should first be filled with water before...

Review of Philips GC 7220
Advantages: good graphics | only crash on GC so far Disadvantages: not as good as the original
...Complete specific levels of the game as Crash's fiery sister Coco
New free-roam sections will be implemented within certain levels of the game
The most vehicles ever seen in a Crash game
New characters
Unlock arena levels and get ready to rumble, as either Crash or Coco
There are loads of features, complete with an all new hardcore Crash Bandicoot game; I?m talking about this one if you did not know that.
The Graphics for this game are superb, but I think it is a straight transfer from the XBOX, which has dumbed down the graphics for the GC ones. The game is as smooth as you can imagine, well not that smooth, hey stop thinking, its not that smooth, its GC smooth. The graphics for all the characters, just great, the levels, the enemies, can?t get much better, unless it Final Fantasy, nothing is better than that.
The sound...
