May the GeForce be with you
Review of NVIDIA GeForce3 Ti 200 by
Del_Boy
Advantages: Fast, Powerful, Inexpensive, Compatable
Disadvantages: Hard to get hold of, Not the fastest card around
...Introduction
The GeForce range of cards have been well established in the PC market for many years now. GeForce cards are generally considered to be the very best card for a Computer enthusiast to obtain for many reasons. The main reason is performance, the GeForce cards tend to perform better, and are more compatable than any other card, with excellent driver* support from Nvidia.com (they who design the GeForce chipset).
The GeForce range of cards has always had competition,. but in my opinion they are still unsurpassed. Later on in this review I shall mention some of the competitors, and why you should/shouldn't buy a GeForce ahead of them.
This review is for the GeForce 3 Ti200 - this is no longer considered a cutting edge card, but is good enough for all but those who demand the very very best performance...

Not much to choose between GeForce2 & ATI Radeon
Review of NVIDIA GeForce2 GTS by
CyrixDes
Advantages: very quick, top technology
Disadvantages: cost, equalled by the cheaper ATI Radeon for performance
...Theres no doubting that this is one hell of a quick card. It is on a par just about with what in my opinion is the best buy graphics card of the moment, the ATI Radeon. In the benchmarks i've seen, the Radeon nicks it in some areas and the GeForce 2 nicks it in other areas, however the Radeon is a lot cheaper and therefore in my opinion nicks it overall, despite both being the same for speed. You can get several variations of the GeForce 2 at the moment. Theres a 32 Mb AGP, 64 Mb AGP and probably the most controversial of all, the 32 Mb AGP GeForce 2 MX. This is a cut down version of the GeForce 2 and can be picked up for around £110-00. This is a good price for a card offering things like DDR and performance in between a GeForce 256 DDR and a GeForce 2 GTS.
If you are looking for a quick card at the moment and money is no object...

NVIDIA GeForce 2 MX
Review of NVIDIA GeForce2 MX by
zensei
Advantages: 40% better than TNT2 Riva and Matrox G400.
Disadvantages: Experienced hanging using the card in Win2k.
...GeForce is 40% better performance. than TNT2 Riva and Matrox G400, which works very well. Else, the quality isn't that much change, a little maybe.
This card has it's own properties in the Display Propertis, under Settings->Advanced.
You can set how much memory the desktop is going to use, performance and compability settings
for OpenGL and Direct3D, Overlay color(Brightness, Contrast, Hue and saturation) Monitor timing.
Using a AMD K6-2 450 3D-NoW! processor, with 160 Mb RAM, on a Windows 2000 Professional computer
I've experienced that the computer hangs when playing games such as Half-Life Counter Strike, Quake III Arena etc..
I am not sure if it is just my combination of hardware or a general fault, but it may be good to know about it.
It supports up to 2048x1536 in screen resolution, with 32 bit color depth.
GeForce2...

LEadtek GeForce 2 MX 32Mb
Review of NVIDIA GeForce2 MX by
Andy0468
Advantages: price against performance
Disadvantages: not as good as a GeForce 2 GTS, but its half the price!
...The Leadtek Winfast Geforce 2 MX graphics card is just one of the video cards available at the moment using Nvidia's GeForce 2MX chipset. This chipset is a cut down version of the GeForce 2 chipset, as used in the high end GeForce 2 GTS graphics cards. This has resulted in the availability, to you and I, of cards that can produce graphics that only a couple of years ago would have only been seen in military grade simulators, and all for around £100.
With 32MB of single data rate memory, this card has ample for all but the greediest of Gamers, and supplied as standard with an Svideo TV-out connector, it'll also work on your TV with the appropriate leads. One of the clever things about the GeForce 2MX chipset is something called TwinView, which means that you can output the video signal to your monitor and your TV at the same time...

Feel the power of the GeForce
Review of PNY Verto GeForce 7800 GS by
pumfster
Advantages: Quality performance without breaking the bank
Disadvantages: Will not satisfy hardcore gamers, poorish installation guide
...Well recently my trusty old (and I do mean old) NVIDIA GeForce 5 card gave up the ghost. TO be honest it wasn't a total disaster, as I had been waiting for it to fail to give me an excuse to replace it. The graphics card was the last thing on my PC to update, and so I started the process of reading reviews, and magazines to try and find a quality replacement without breaking the bank.
My search led me to the NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GS card. I believe that the NVIDIA cards are the market leader when it comes to graphics, and so I have always been brand loyal to them. Now I wanted something which would not become obsolete within a couple of weeks of purchase, yet I wasn't prepared to spend £400+ on the top of the range cards as I do not play massive amounts of games which would require such power. That is why I found this card to be perfect...

Ge Force 2 MX
Review of NVIDIA GeForce2 MX by
jamespugh
Advantages: Price
Disadvantages: Slighly slower than other cards
...The NVida fairly new graphics chipset the GeForce 2 MX range has provided many of us who cannot afford to splash out a three hundred pounds every year for a graphics card.
This new graphics card provides hefty graphical speeds for only £100, which is a brilliant, deal in my book.
It has all the features of its bigger brother the GeForce 2 GTS but just at slower clock speed, and less memory bandwith.. Many will find that purchasing the £200 more expensive addition will make no difference, as people with larger screens 19 inch and above will only see the benefit of the higher resolutions.
The GeForce cards have always been the best and always prevail over the Voodoo range. This is mainly due to the revolutionary GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) which provides a completely separate processor to the PC’s processor...

GeForce - DeLight
Review of NVIDIA GeForce2 MX by
TheNeil
Advantages: Doddle to install, fast, no hassles
Disadvantages: Pseudo-English manual
...). Off to the shops after much consulting with mates, reading of reviews etc. and I end up with an NVidia GeForce2 MX. Is it good? Read on fair viewer...
I had the choice of 32Mb with the MX extras or a 64Mb version without. As my existing card had a paltry 8Mb (don't laugh) the 32Mb looked good enough for me and the MX features would partly replace what the Matrox could do (it had video sampling with the MX doesn't have). It's an AGP card but then again all are these days so it's nothing to get excited about.
I'll be honest, my existing Matrox card was a delight but a total nightmare to install (just ask anyone who's ever tried) so the first task was to get Windows back to using the standard VGA drivers. No problems so far. The instructions were as usual thrown to one side (real users don't real manuals) and I simply swapped the cards...

Ge-Force power
Review of NVIDIA GeForce3 Ti 200 by
vijar
Advantages: Super fast games and crystal clear graphics
Disadvantages: Very expensive!
...This is the graphic card ive been been wanting for quite a while. But at a price of £400 It seems a bit on the expensive side. But this is no ordinary graphics card!
Powered by the new NVIDIA nfiniteFX engine and the Lightspeed Memory Architecture, the GeForce3 GPU enables users to look into a rich environment instead of just a computer screen. 3D scenes have ambiance with the GeForce3 because textures appear photo-realistic and custom lighting heightens the drama. Characters and living creatures have organic imperfections and unique expressions—you can see their personality. Programmability and performance combine to provide the catalyst for this graphics revolution.
Graphics Core:256-bit
Memory Interface:128-bit DDR
Fill Rate:3.2 Billion AA samples/s
Operations Per Second:800 Billion
Memory Bandwidth:7.36 GB/
