The graphics card I am comparing it with is an ATI Radeon 9800 Pro with 128MB (the same as the GeForce 6800). The PC is an AMD64 3000+ system with 1GB of RAM. ...Overview: The current graphics card i am using is the Gigabyte Geforce 6800 128mb 8x AGP with passive cooling, as soon as i removed the card from its packaging it was extremely easy to fit into the chassis and very little chance of accidently knocking off a component due to the large heatsink which provides a nice grip to insert the graphics card. The geforce 6800 also comes with a standard DVI-CRT converter and has one DVI slot, one CRT slot and one S-Video out slot thus enabling all types of monitors to be used. ...as these can be anything as up to 2 months old, instead pop along to www.nvidia.co.uk or www.nvidia.com and download the latest drivers as Nvidia are always improving and making the drivers for these cards even better. Once the drivers are aquired, cancel the "windows - show me the drivers" dialogue screens and fully remove the older drivers from your old card before clicking the nvidia installer and installing the "geforce" drivers as this fixes 9/10 issues I have heard of in the past. Once the drivers are installed, the system will ask if you want to reboot - Reboot and the card should be installed and fully working. If by chance you notice that the card has been installed as a "NVIDIA 6800 Series GPU" in the system properties then its installed fine as both 6800GT's in this system are labelled as such. Advantages: Still a good performer and cheap too!

...Firstly, i bought my card from dabs.com, under its own value brand name, but research has revealed that it is just a re-branded Inno3D card so please forgive me for reviewing it here :) I purchased this card about 2 years ago, when it was still a relativley state of the art GPU, and i have no intention of replacing it, until a finally fork out for a new PC. This card (on my system) will still run most games on high to max settings, with the exception of Oblivion. To be fair though, my cheap RAM may be bottlenecking my system, to the detrement of the graphics potential. The 6800GT i feel has stood the test of time. ...Well for starters this card any make is still the same. you can get the XFX GEFORCE FX 6800 ULTRA 256MB DDR3, GIGABYTE GV-N68T256D GEFORCE 6800 GT 256MB DDR3 there’s a few more but they are all the same as long as it says geforce FX 6800 ultra then its the same one and performs just the same. Remember to have a powerful power pack in your computer as it is needed for this beast of a card. This graphics card is the best one on the market today it will run any game in full settings and full everything with ease. the only thing I have got against it is the Geforce 6800 GT is better its just a little bit less than the ultra BUT with the GT the great thing is you can over clock which means you can get it up to speed with the ultra with ease and no trouble. ...This card is amazing. It's a very good alternative to the nvidia geforce 8800 series, for significantly less money. I upgraded from an nvidia geforce 6800, bought one of these from ebay for around 100 pounds and my fps in game increased by about 50%. It runs cool in my case (though it does need to back plates due to the extra cooling needed) and it does need a pci express power connector, and i would also recommend a power supply that can cope with this card, you need something over a 400w psu to power this thing well. i would recommend one of these over an 8600gt or gts (and anything below it of course) unless you really need directx 10 now. this should see you through quite a few games for the time being with the 512mb of ram and processor being able to cope with anything you can throw at it. Advantages: Fancy features, fold out keyboard! Radio! cool design
