Geforce 7600 GT - Excellent for overclocking!

Advantages: Excellent Performance when overclocked, good value
Disadvantages: Need to over clock it to get the best from the card

...Point Of View - GeForce 7600 GT --Installation-- The GeForce 7600 GT is a PCI-E card so you need to make sure you mother board supports it. The instillation its self is as easy as installing any other graphics card. The card isn't overly big and draws power directly from the PCI-E slot and therefore does not need an extra power connector. Case open, old card out, new card slotted in, reinstall drivers, good to go. The whole process took me about 30 minutes and was pain free. --Features-- The GeForce 7600GT supports DirectX 9 and DirectX Pixel Shader Model 3.0. These are the latest technologies and combined with its 12 pixel pipelines means that games look good. As with all nVidia products you can choose to use either HDR (High dynamic range - a lighting effect) or AA (anti-aliasing - smoothes pixels) but not both...

MSI 7600GT. AGP Cards Still Kicking

Advantages: Ample Memory for an AGP, Fits in mATX Cases, No Noise, Low Power, Overclockable
Disadvantages: AGP Slot, No DirectX 10 Support, Max Anisotrophy x4

...The MSI GeForce 7600GT is an AGP graphics card with DirectX 9 support and basic video, analog and DVI sockets. It comes in a large box with an analog to digital adapter, installation manual, overclocking specifications, a driver CD with MSI's software, bundled with Adobe Reader and other free programs. This review summarises the product's advantages and disadvantages for a user with an older AGP-equipped motherboard. If your computer has PCI-E support, skip this card. All criteria in this review are regarding AGP cards only. So is the rating. AGP? Some of you might wonder what's the point in getting an AGP card these days. The answer is simple: some users simply do not wish to buy a new motherboard just for a PCI-E slot. Moreover, AGP cards still can provide you enough performance to boot and run games on high...

7600GT leadtek graphics card

Advantages: good cooling fan, excellent overclocking system.
Disadvantages: looks

...Just before christmas my old gfx card went boom, i had a Leadtek 6600td which i had purchased off e-bay for about £60. So onto e-bay i went again to search for another and i came across a Leadtek 7600GT Pci-express for £80, i thought that i would stay with leadtek as i had no problems with my last leadtek card until it conked out on me but that was from overclocking it to much. Bargain i thought so i purchased it, it came through the post about 2 days later and i plugged it all in and got going adding the drivers so i could get straight into my favourite game BF2... When it was all sorted and i got into game i found that with this card in my machine i could set all of the settings to high and have anti-annalizing on full, which came as a shock really as the game is quite demanding but i had no slow down or lagg at all. I then played...

The Best Budget Card I Know

Advantages: Cheap for the power of it
Disadvantages: 7900GT only slightly more for more power

...WHAT IS IT?: This is a video card designed for rendering 3D models such as in games or 3D modelling software. However this is not designed to do professional renderings as in 3D animations. BRIEF: The XFX 7600GT XXX edition is a creation of nVidia, one of the biggest graphics card manufactures in the world. And they have come up with an excellent card, it plays most modern games at 1280x1024, without dipping under 25FPS. OVERCLOCKING: Overclocking is the process of increasing the "speed" at which something runs, beyond that which it is designed to run at. For example, say a graphics card's processor is designed to run at 500Mhz, and you overclock it to 570Mhz, that is a 14% overclock. You won't see a 14% increase in Frames Per Second while playing games, but you will see a slight performance increase. Why bother you might...

Gigabye GeForce 7600GT

Advantages: cheap, plays most of the latest games, silent
Disadvantages: Not as good as the fan versions and the 512MB versions

...I've had this card since early January after i purchased a new computer and wanted to upgrade the graphics as it only had integrated. Before that with my old computer i had a Radeon 9600 which performed well 3 years ago but lagged behind as the years went on. Since buying the GeForce 7600 performance has been great with all games i own, being able to have every setting on max. Apart from Oblivion and Armed Assault. It's fanless (Silent Pipe) which does give the plus for it being very quiet, however it requires 2 slots. So depending on your motherboard layout you might lost a PCI slot (bad), PCI-E x1 slot (not so bad) or you can't use it at all (really bad). It should work for most people though, except in special SFF cases. So bare that in mind. For those of you who want to know specs in more detail then here they are. Core...

Crucial Radeon X1600 Pro AGP

Advantages: Great image quality, price, shader 3.0, DirectX 9.0c, H264 support
Disadvantages: Not very fast, there are cheaper X1600's out there

...What do you do when you have a PC that's a couple of years old, still quite serviceable but starting to groan a bit when playing the latest games. Upgrade the graphics card I hear you say? Sure, except your PC has an AGP slot and the shops are full of PCI Express cards. Given that there are a lot of PCs with quite fast CPUs, often 3Ghz or more, laden with RAM and bristling with hard disk space, it is surprising just how quickly graphics card manufactures have largely abandoned AGP in favour of its newer replacement PCI Express. It seems very short-sighted and is forcing many people into buying PCI Express equiped motherboards and often new CPUs just to allow them to upgrade their graphics cards (Hmm, maybe I can see why...) If you are prepared to dig around a bit, there are still a few decent AGP cards on the market though. One...

Gaming on a budget

Advantages: Good Price, Passive cooling
Disadvantages: Struggles on some of the latest games

...PNY GeForce 6200 256MB AGP I have been running this card in my PC for the past year without a problem, I brought it initially because it was a reasonable price and was 2 generations ahead of the card I had been running a GE Force4 4200 ti 128mb, and also had twice the amount of RAM 256mb. A lot of potential buyers would dismiss this card out of hand as it would be considered a budget card and of little use to those who enjoy gaming. I would contradict them as I do enjoy gaming but can't afford a £150 - £300 graphics card in order to play the latest games with all the knobs and whistles turned on; I have however used this card to play most of the latest games, maybe not at the top in game settings but at reduced resolutions and frame rates. The rest of my rig would also not be the fasted on the market I have a 2000XP Athlon...

Fastest GeForce 295

Advantages: Fastest, Highest, Stunning Graphics
Disadvantages: Upgrading cost money

...Product: Graphics Card Make: NVIDIA, GeForce Version: GTX 295 Price: Varied The GeForce 295 GTX is the fastest graphic card to date, it holds 1,792MHz RAM of memory, and the resolution size is 2,560 x 1,600, now that is massive. This is an incredibly fast card; so you?re going to need a really big screen in order to get the most out of it, and its twin-GPU prowess. The GTX is powerful, hungry and exactly what you?d expect from a cutting-edge slice of computing, and believe me when I say this, it sure isn?t cheap. This pro-gaming kit needs specific hardware to really make it shine. The great thing I like about this, the performance takes over from the NVIDIA make. NVIDIA is a top brand, I always find it?s the fastest, and more reliable make, it also upgrades AMD?s successful 4870 X2 brand. Who ever processed this one...

Will give your AGP system a new lease of life

Advantages: Very fast, AGP
Disadvantages: Very expensive, power-hungry

...At time of writing this is the fastest AGP graphics card you can buy (though it may be soon overshadowed by the ATI X1950Pro). As the first reviewer stated, it makes an incredible difference to games and makes advanced options like High Dynamic Range, Anti-Aliasing and Anisotropic Filtering possible where before I had them turned off (I also have a 5950 Ultra). I *did* have problems with 3D titles not working on my Asus KT-600 a while after I first got it. I contacted Gainward and they weren't particularly quick in replying though I believe they were correct in identifying the Power Supply as being insufficient (though why the card should work for 3 months before encountering problems was never explained). Thankfully I managed to install it in another PC with a 550W PSU and have experienced no problems with that one (Asrock KT-880...
