...I bought this product by chance, really. I love brown eye-liners and eye shadows. I´m always looking for *the* right brown. This is a wonderful product: you can use it as a liner OR as an eye shadow. You should use a small amount of your usual eye gel or cream, and then apply Smudsicles. Very important: after you´ve applied it, let it "dry" for about one minute, keeping your eyes closed so as not to crease Smudsicles at once. It´ll last MUCH longer that way!! And, it will not form greasy lines in your eye crease. If you want to, you can powder over it ever so slightly, to make it stay even better. But just use a tiny amount of powder! ...When it comes to putting on eye make up the one thing that I always apply is eye liner. Having had several nasty accidents with the traditional eye liners eg kohl pencils which seem to splinter leaving bits of wood floating in my eyes - ouch!. Kohl pencils also never seem to get a good point after you have sharpened them as so make applying them rather hard if you just want a nice neat line around your eye lashes. With this in mind I can definetly recommend Maybellines Great wear water proof eye liner. retailing at £3.99 in superdrug and Boots, might make it a little bit more pricey then other eye liners but this eye liner is brilliant. ...I got this liquid liner as a freebie when buying other Avon products. Normally, it costs about 4-4.50 pounds I think. I'm not a great eye-liner wearer, as I find that even the gentlest pencil liners bother my hard contact lenses making them feel Itchy and scratchy. The liquid liner turned out to be a good thing! It certainly was much easier on my eyes than a Clinique pencil liner which I had used before. The liner comes in the typical Avon blue/black boxes, which state the name of the product and not much else. The liner itself was in a dark thin plastic tube. Not being a pencil it won't wear down and get stubby and hard to hold. The tip of the liner is like a fine felt-tip pen. ...I always tend to use Rimmel products as they are the most long lasting in my view. This eye liner certainly is. I had never used Rimmel's eye liner before, but I was buying their Volume Extend Mascara and the eye liner was being given away for free :D I believe that this usually costs around £2.99 in Boots, which for eyeliner is really good value for money. I have had the liner for around two months, and I use it pretty much every day!!! It is not too soft, or too hard and applies really easily. I can get the exact look that i want with it. The pencil also sharpens easily and doesn't split :) Another thing about this eyeliner, and also all Rimmel products is that they never make my skin itchy or dry it up A+++... Read review

...There is not many Avon products I can fault on, but this is one I will definately never use again. I was first attracted to this particular eyeliner because it was supposed to last eight hours and was a reasonable price. The product came in a nice pencil and cost £4.00. The first time I tryed it my eyes felt sore, irritable and began to run. I put this down to first time use, so I disregarded the problem symptoms as I came up with this sensible theory(or so I thought)Boy was I wrong. The next time was worse and my eyes became really sore. I at this point had no idea why It was causing me so much problems, after all I have never had any problems before with eyeliners. ...I'm a massive eye liner fan, and I'm always on the look out for new ones. So I added the Boots Natural Collection eye liner in Black to my collection of pencils for just 72p. 72p!!! Can you believe it? No, nor could I! I hadn't used Boots Natural Collection products before, and I wasn't too bothered about what I expected the quality to be like as the price was so low, I couldn't have given a monkeys if it had been crap. However, I was pleasantly surprised...The eye liner was of good quality. It was relatively easy to apply, although it was a little hard. I over came this difficulty by running it under warm water (with the lid on) in order to soften it. I had to sharpen this eye liner after every use. But perhaps not everyone will have to as I insist on having a sharp line, and I apply a thick line on both top and bottom eye... Read review

..., with a greater rigidity than found in others, so when applying, it glides gently over the eyelid, without spraying your surrounding face with mini blobs of liner. I wear it thickly, but since it has been designed with body stenciling in mind, the applicator is capable of precision, so a subtle definition of teh eye is possible also. The colour is a lovely rich jet black, unlike the watery grey/brown colour that you find with some brands. It also has the added advantage of endurance power, due to the fact that it is a body stencil liner-no more floods of black down your face when you are caught in the rain. It also, surprisingly enough, lasts well when i wear it to go swimming. Although quite small, the pot has lasted me an absolute age, without drying up, or losing the quality of colour.
