Only genius for so long.
Review of Genius NetScroll Wireless - mouse by
betty_swollocks
Advantages: Excellent when in peak condition
Disadvantages: Goes funny as it gets older
...I have been using the Genius netmouse since I got my first computer as it was old when I first got it I wasn't surprised that after six months it started to show signs of ageing. At this point I did what I could to make it better so I gave it a good cleaning inside but before long it started to play up.
The main problem was that when you click once on anything, it will almost always double click for your which proves especially annoying when on the internet. Another problem with the mouse is that when I try to click and drag anything, it double clicks for me instead.
Although i am criticising the mouse, it did work well when it was working properly. Unfortunately I cannot rate the mouse in relation to price because I was given it but as long as it holds, it's a good mouse but there are better ones available. This depends...

Pure Genius
Review of Genius NetScroll Wireless - mouse by
bobsmith
Advantages: Cheap, ergonomic, button weight is just right
Disadvantages: Not very tolerant of dirt
...The Genius netmouse is an ideal alternative to Microsoft's Intellimouse range. Besides being much, much cheaper, the scroll button has advantages in online gaming over a wheel since it's much easier to press a button up or down than to mess about scrolling a wheel a certain amount of degrees. The mouse is very responsive, and the amount of pressure required to press the buttons is ideal. The only complaint I have is that the mouse is not very tolerant of dirt on the mouse ball - if there is a speck of dirt it will begin jumping and skipping. I have seen mice which handle small amounts of dirt much better....

My Mouse broke a House Brick
Review of Genius NetScroll Wireless - mouse by
tatum69
Advantages: Almost Indestructible
Disadvantages: speed of scrolling not fabulous. Dies when struck at 86mph.
...My Mouse broke a house brick
I have owned a Genius NetMouse Pro mouse for approx 2 years and it has
served me very very faithfully. I truly have had no complaints with
the mouse at all - its quite splendid. The little button on the side
allows you to scroll nicely through webpages (although it did only
scroll at 2 speeds - slow and INANELY fast - and yes I do mean inanely,
not insanely ;+) The little 3rd button between left and right click
buttons does a much similar thing but up/down scrolling only and in
blocks rather than smoothly so, but its still quite funky.
It is the mouse of ages. It is practically Herculean in the tasks
that it performs.
Recently, as with all mechanical and electronic components, my mouse
has flagged - it has reached the end of its capability to act
sucessfully as a mouse in fact, and had...

A pukka pointer
Review of Genius NetScroll Wireless - mouse by
Kevin_Pritchard
Advantages: Comfy to use. Nice scroll. Slick movement
Disadvantages: Are trackballs still trendy?
...Having used a 'normal' mouse many moons ago, i decided to get a decent mouse, but didnt want to pay too much. My mate was selling a 'Genius Netmouse Pro' for a fiver, so i immediately snapped up the bargain. The look of the mouse is fantastic. Not too space age like many others. Once in the palm of your hand, it feels so right. Every button is in its right place. Speaking of buttons, it has a left and right button, a little 3rd buton on the left hand side and a scroll....but not any scroll..no...its a 2-button scroll, which i find VERY handy for games (switching weapons etc). A normal scroll seems to be to sensitive for me, theres not enough overall control.
Due to the fact of their being a button in place for a thumb, it is evident that this mouse will work best for right-handed people, so if you're a lefty, go for another mouse...

Maximum usefulness, Minimum cost
Review of Genius NetScroll Wireless - mouse by
andyshellam
Advantages: no cleaning required, precise, value
Disadvantages: incompatible software for windows xp
...Optical Mice Review
Optical mice are starting to become more and more popular with today’s computer users, whether for home or business use.
Ever since I started as a computer engineer a few years ago, I’ve used hundreds of different mice – from the standard PS/2 and USB ball mice to laptop touch pads and roller balls. But I’ve never found a mouse more comfortable to use than the Genius Netscroll PS/2 ball mouse. It is finished in a rather dull shade of grey, which doesn’t look like anything special, but it does its job. It consists of three buttons – the standard left and right button and a roller button. The roller can be used to scroll up and down in Internet and Office documents and the software included, the Genius MouseMate 98 software, provides quick shortcuts to common features such as the Start button and your Internet...

Optical mouse easily impresses
Review of Genius NetScroll Wireless - mouse by
kurowski
Advantages: Good value, good quality product
Disadvantages: Software's not brilliant
...£15 is not a lot to pay for an optical mouse. It's also not a lot to pay for a USB/PS2 combo mouse. With the Genius Netscroll Optical, you get a lot for your money.
That's probably a fair summary of this review, however there is more to this mouse than simply the fact that it's optical. It boasts the now-standard wheel, and also two buttons on the side, which glow blue. The two main mouse buttons, along with the base of the mouse, are a tasteful blue-grey colour, contrasting with the 'PC White' of the top of the mouse. The mouse can plug into a USB port, or, using the supplied converter, a PS/2 mouse port. The USB plug doesn't have pass-through, though, probably because you might get people trying to plug a USB device, through the mouse, into the PS/2 port. This shouldn't, though, be too much of a problem for most people...

A true genius
Review of TIGI Creative Genius by
jo1l
Advantages: This works!!!
Disadvantages: the colour
...It was thanks to the nice people here on ciao that I actually got to try out this stuff, I won it as part of a Tigi gift set in the recent colurings competition. To be honest if I had not won the prize I doubt that I'd have actually gone out and bought the stuff due to it being £8.50 a bootle and its rather off putting colour - a kinda pearlescent tourquoisey green!
Apart from the colour this stuff is excellent! If you love coconut you'll love the smell of this stuff as it has a very natural coconut smell to it and not a chemically smell.
The creative genius comes in a large recyclable bottle giving you 200mls of the green liquid. To be fair liquid is the wrong word to use in describing it's constitancy, its more like a watery cream. The instructions for use are found on the bottle in rather small lettering! No I don't need...

Pure Genius
Review of Real Genius (Wide Screen) by
welshfruitbat
Advantages: Very funny film
Disadvantages: Nothing
...really funny to cheer me up - and this film proved to be it.
Real Genius is rated 15 and runs for 102 minutes. It was originally released in 1985 By Tristar Picture Inc. This DVD was released in 2002 by Columbia Tristar Home Entertainment. It cost £7.99.
This disc comes in a normal plastic DVD case with the title of the film and a picture of Val Kilmer on the front. Val is sat on an office desk, wearing a shirt and shorts with an 'I love toxic waste' tee shirt underneath.
The film is about a boy called Mitch Taylor (played by Gabe Jarret). Mitch is an extremely gifted fifteen year old. He applies to go to Pacific Technical College (even though he is about five years too young.) At a Winter Science Fayre, Professor Hathaway (played by William Atherton) a teacher at the College arrives to tell Mitch he has been accepted.

It don't take a Genius
Review of Genius SW 2.1 850 by
Macca3000
Advantages: Clear, Loud, Stylish, Inexpensive
Disadvantages: Short connection wires
..., for the price of these speakers, they're a little gem. The sound is clear and loud - the two essential features of any speaker system. They make a good addition to any desktop and compliment your ears, eyes and wallet all in one simple package. Really, it doesn't take a Genius to figure this one out!...
