Genius Wireless USB Keyboard and Optical Mouse
Review of Genius Wireless TwinTouch+ Optical Value - keyboard , mouse by
alienateduk
Advantages: Wireless, Relativly cheap, Durable, Initially get rechargeable batteries
Disadvantages: Need to eventually buy new batteries, Problems with low power.
...essential in all modern mice. It has an optical laser so can be used on any surface.
Both the keyboard and the mouse are wireless and their signal is picked up by a smart receiver come battery charger. The feature of being wireless is great for people who use spaces for multiple purposes such as a written work/study area as well as for using a PC. It plugs into a standard USB A slot. The box comes with 6 rechargeable AA batteries, user manual and a driver CD.
The rechargeable batteries are a great addition to the pack however I found after a few months of use they did not hold the charge as well and did not last. This means eventually you will be using regular batteries which is obviously more expensive than using wired keyboard and mouse equivalents.
When the battery power in either the mouse or keyboard gets low it can lead...

Genius Keyboard and mouse
Review of Genius TwinTouch LuxeMate Pro - keyboard , mouse by
skimblet
Advantages: Rechargable batteries and charger, cool design
Disadvantages: some keys are a liitle small and close together
...The genius keyboard and mouse are great if you require something a little smaller then normal, they are both compact and the fact that the mouse is optical is also an added bonus. The battery life is probably better then most wireless products I have tried and the fact that the receiver also charges a spare set of batteries which are included is also very good.
The keyboard is very light, slim and feels like it has been well built with very little rattle in the keys, the keys themselves do seem a little squashed in though, but this has been done to make the unit smaller, the home, end etc keys are a little tricky to use and there seems to be an issue if you want to highlight lots of data using them as they are brought into use with the shift key anyway. The cursor keys have been crammed in under the enter key which has also been...

Optical mouse easily impresses
Review of Genius NetScroll Wireless - mouse by
kurowski
Advantages: Good value, good quality product
Disadvantages: Software's not brilliant
...£15 is not a lot to pay for an optical mouse. It's also not a lot to pay for a USB/PS2 combo mouse. With the Genius Netscroll Optical, you get a lot for your money.
That's probably a fair summary of this review, however there is more to this mouse than simply the fact that it's optical. It boasts the now-standard wheel, and also two buttons on the side, which glow blue. The two main mouse buttons, along with the base of the mouse, are a tasteful blue-grey colour, contrasting with the 'PC White' of the top of the mouse. The mouse can plug into a USB port, or, using the supplied converter, a PS/2 mouse port. The USB plug doesn't have pass-through, though, probably because you might get people trying to plug a USB device, through the mouse, into the PS/2 port. This shouldn't, though, be too much of a problem for most people...

My Mouse broke a House Brick
Review of Genius NetScroll Wireless - mouse by
tatum69
Advantages: Almost Indestructible
Disadvantages: speed of scrolling not fabulous. Dies when struck at 86mph.
...My Mouse broke a house brick
I have owned a Genius NetMouse Pro mouse for approx 2 years and it has
served me very very faithfully. I truly have had no complaints with
the mouse at all - its quite splendid. The little button on the side
allows you to scroll nicely through webpages (although it did only
scroll at 2 speeds - slow and INANELY fast - and yes I do mean inanely,
not insanely ;+) The little 3rd button between left and right click
buttons does a much similar thing but up/down scrolling only and in
blocks rather than smoothly so, but its still quite funky.
It is the mouse of ages. It is practically Herculean in the tasks
that it performs.
Recently, as with all mechanical and electronic components, my mouse
has flagged - it has reached the end of its capability to act
sucessfully as a mouse in fact, and had...

Only genius for so long.
Review of Genius NetScroll Wireless - mouse by
betty_swollocks
Advantages: Excellent when in peak condition
Disadvantages: Goes funny as it gets older
...I have been using the Genius netmouse since I got my first computer as it was old when I first got it I wasn't surprised that after six months it started to show signs of ageing. At this point I did what I could to make it better so I gave it a good cleaning inside but before long it started to play up.
The main problem was that when you click once on anything, it will almost always double click for your which proves especially annoying when on the internet. Another problem with the mouse is that when I try to click and drag anything, it double clicks for me instead.
Although i am criticising the mouse, it did work well when it was working properly. Unfortunately I cannot rate the mouse in relation to price because I was given it but as long as it holds, it's a good mouse but there are better ones available. This depends...

Pure Genius
Review of Genius NetScroll Wireless - mouse by
bobsmith
Advantages: Cheap, ergonomic, button weight is just right
Disadvantages: Not very tolerant of dirt
...The Genius netmouse is an ideal alternative to Microsoft's Intellimouse range. Besides being much, much cheaper, the scroll button has advantages in online gaming over a wheel since it's much easier to press a button up or down than to mess about scrolling a wheel a certain amount of degrees. The mouse is very responsive, and the amount of pressure required to press the buttons is ideal. The only complaint I have is that the mouse is not very tolerant of dirt on the mouse ball - if there is a speck of dirt it will begin jumping and skipping. I have seen mice which handle small amounts of dirt much better....

Apple Wireless Mighty Mouse
Review of Apple Mighty Mouse Wireless - mouse by
HellSoul
Advantages: Almost brilliant design, looks great.
Disadvantages: Expensive, limited programming for buttons.
...(This review is written having tested the hardware on Mac OS X Leopard and Windows Vista)
This year, I purchased my first Apple computer. Deciding to go for the iMac, an all-in-one desktop computer.
From their website, Apple include either the wired or wireless Mighty Mouse with the purchase, the Wireless option being a £13.99 upgrade option, but no option to get the computer without the mouse.
Because I have so many computer mice lying around, I was torn between selling the default (wired) Mighty Mouse when the computer arrived, or upgrading to the Wireless option and keeping it, I have far too many cables for electronics to want to add more wires, so I decided I would purchase all of the wireless options with the iMac, but paying extra money for something I didn't particularly need was a nuisance.
In the end, I decided...

Man not mouse... Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse
Review of Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse Blue Moon IMD - mouse by
karenlearmonth
Advantages: Wireless, Optical, Coverage
Disadvantages: none spotted to date
...I thought it was about time I reviewed the item I probably use more often than most - my mouse!
Product Overview:
As the product title implies it is a wireless, optical and Microsoft. Some more details bar the obvious to help you may be the following:
* Scroll Wheel
* Left/Right Handed
* Customisable buttons
* PC/Mac
* USB or PS/2
I think there are a few colours to choose from. I've got blue/silver and I think there is red/silver and white as another option (but don't hold me to that)
To my knowledge 'Special Edition' is merely colour editions because I didn't notice anything on the packaging to tell otherwise (although as is usual with my new purchases they are out of the wrapper rapid and into use before thought is given!)
Responsiveness:
I have found that however you choose to set this product up, so long...

A very good optical wireless mouse.
Review of Labtec Wireless Optical Mouse Pro - mouse by
Bunks
Advantages: No wires, accurate and responsive. Easy to set up.
Disadvantages: Battery usage and very occassionally doesn't respond at start-up. Wire for censor attachment.
...The Labtec wireless optical mouse comes with a mouse, two batteries, an installation CD and the mouse censor.
MOUSE
The mouse itself is nicely shaped to fit the palm of your hand and comes with a left and right click button. The buttons are separated by a roller (useful for scrolling pages when using the internet or for word processing) and a left and right button (which can be used to scroll left or right on bigger pages , mainly Excel). You can also click the roller down which is useful for automatic scrolling of pages.
CENSOR DEVICE
This is 3x2" and comes complete with a wire measuring roughtly a metre in length. Now this is where the wireless bit goes out of the window, as you have to attach this piece of kit to your PC/laptop for the mouse to work. This also has to be within a range of two feet from the mouse...

Labtec Wireless Optical Mouse.
Review of Labtec Wireless Optical Mouse Plus - mouse by
smcccc
Advantages: No more wires.
Disadvantages: Eats the batteries.
...I got my wireless mouse last year as a christmas gift,
It came complete with mouse, receiver, batteries and C.D. software.
Installing the software is simple and takes just a matter of minutes, the C.D. guides you step by step and is so easy you cant go wrong.
Set up was very easy....the reciever has a 1 metre cable which plugs into the USB port,
the reciever itself is slightly smaller than the mouse and is placed on your desktop.
The mouse takes 2 AA batteries and fits nicely into the palm of your hand and has 3 button control........left click ,right click and middle click for manual or automatic scrolling.
Being wireless this free's your desktop from the clutter of cords, enabling you to move the mouse more freely without being restricted.
The mouse works accurately and reliably 1 metre away from the receiver...
