Advantages: Amazing cats with so much love

...Maine Coon -the "gentle giant" We, as a family have just proudly added a new member to our family -by the name of Weetabix. Weetabix is a beautiful brown tortie Maine coon cat with tiger stripe grey and white legs and paws. We received her last Saturday when she was 13 weeks old, and she has fit into our family so well. She is a really friendly cat, and gets on great with our three year old son. Her favourite past time is to climb all over me and sleep on me -so I am now an official climbing frame/ cat bed!! Maine Coons are a gorgeous breed of cat - I have done a lot of reading about them, and I wanted to share it with you, as I would recommend this breed of cat for any family! Advantages: big.... very big

...I first came in to contact with this car when my mother decided that we didn't have enough room so one day instead of a little corsa...she pulled up in a giant of an Espace. When I first saw it my first thoughts were "how much fuel will this thing use" and rightly so. When the car had no-one in the car and we took it easy we still had to fill up at almost every other petrol station, it was that bad. I don't know exactly how many miles to the gallon we were getting, but at an estimate I would say that it was 28-33mpg, that's pants! On the good side the car never broke down on us and it always started first time. Apart from the regular services I don't think that the car knew what a garage was, so on that point it gets some browney points. This car is awesome if you want to transport a small army, or if you want a family... Read review

Advantages: Nice colour and coverage
Disadvantages: Stupid bottle really lets it down

...it foundation as "Actually bending light to chase away lines and shadows". What that means in reality is that it is a bit sparkly. When you look at the liquid in the bottle (if you want to imagine it, use the second picture, as the first one for the review is of a totally unrelated No7 bottle) it looks like is has very fine golden glitter in it. Once it's on your face however, there is no trace of glitter, so you're safe. The bottle itself is nice and chunky, made of plastic with a silver coloured lid, but I question its suitability for containing this product. The foundation is really quite a runny liquid, and the bottle has no little squirty hole to dispense it carefully, there is just a giant, gaping spout. There is also the problem that the instructions recommend that you shake the bottle before use, which means that when you remove the lid... Read review

Advantages: A further entertaining read in the Giants Saga
Disadvantages: Not to everybodys taste

...The story so far. The finding of a dead man on the moon was the first link in a chain. A gigantic spaceship was found frozen into the Moon Ganymede and other evidence of human occupation on the moon was discovered. All this lead to the conclusion that a Planet named Minerva had once existed where the Asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter now is. It was destroyed by a combination of a massive nuclear war and its own thinner crust. But there are still outstanding questions. This new book starts where the previous volume left off. First a glimpse into the past where a group of the Giants are experimenting on a Sun to try to increase the heat output with disastrous effects. The giants escape the resulting explosion, but there craft had been undergoing maintenance and cannot slow down easily. That is going to take time, lots of it... Read review

...the black haze of rain and sees a light in the distance one light becomes two side by side. He drops his jaw and his radio set in one movement as lightning silhouettes a gargantuan figure in the water. The next moment his boat lurches into the figure breaking up like driftwood and Marv is tossed into the inky sea…. ~~Heart surgery is a complex procedure~~ I’m not a big fan of book adaptations into movies especially when they mess around with a book which was as significant to me as the Iron Giant was, that said I can’t recall a great deal about the book itself, just the opening scenes. The filmmakers inevitably mess around with the plot, squeeze in a bit of non-existent love interest and give it and action ending. They also commit the almost unforgivable sin of uprooting it all and sticking it in heartland America... Read review

...Before start gabbling on, I can't believe this is the first ever opinion on this film, whats wrong with you guys!? This film is one of the finest Disney films around and no-one has ever written on it......!? I watched this film on TV the other day and almost instantly decided to write an opinion on it, it's only on here now though since I got carried away with a Dr Dolittle opinion instead! Anyway onto The Iron Giant itself, the film was originated from a poem written by famous poet, Ted Hughes. The poem was supposedly written for his children but the idea of the Iron Giant was used to create the film by DISNEY and as expected it met all its expectations. ...I saw “The Green Mile” on HBO about a week ago. It’s another movie that I ended up liking it a lot. Of course, a movie with Tom Hanks in it can usually be counted on to be reasonably good.
