Large George Foreman grill and griddle for healthier food

...I bought this George Foreman 6 person indoor grill about two months ago. I would rather say it is for 4 persons. It is quite big when you have to bring it home or you have to find place for it, but is perfect size when you grill on it. First impressions I saw it on Internet on www.argos.co.uk site, it was on offer for 44.99 pounds. I reserved it and went to pick it up. It was in a huge box. When I arrived home with it I opened and found that the grill is really big. I had to put some household appliances away to have enough place for it. There were the grill, a drip tray and two spatulas in the box. The grill was in one piece there was no need for assemble anything. Features Non stick grill and griddle: the vegetables need a little oil because otherwise they stick to the griddle. So before I spice them, I pour a little oil on them...

George Foreman 14066 - Removable hot plates!

Advantages: Removable hot plates for washing

...I have owned a George Foreman grill for years. I have found it very handy for cooking burgers, chicken, bacon etc. My last one I'd had for a few years and had served it's time. I had been without one for a couple of months and was really missing the grill. My husband was out one day and came back with this one. When he said you could remove the hot plates to wash them I thought it would be really tricky, but it's not. They come out with ease, drop them in a sink, give them a quick wipe over and then back on again. Much easier to keep clean than the one without the removable plates. I used to hate cleaning the old one!! The only drawbacks I have with this one is that there is no timer which I found very useful in my old grill. Also, when it first heats up and you cook something it sizzles but then the thermostat kicks in, so...

...There is a lot of pressure on the public to become increasingly healthy nowadays. This means eating properly, which isn't always easy on a budget and in a fast paced world. That's what this little machine was invented for! I'm going to review the small George Foreman, which you can buy from most electrical retailers. The model GEORGE FOREMAN 11757 can be bought currently at Comet for £29.99. Basically it's a small grill, with a floating hinge, which means you don't have the problem you get in sandwich toasters of squashing the filling! It makes wonderful 'café style' sandwiches, and you can put in as much or little filling as you need, as it will not ruin the asthetics of your sandwich. You also get those nice to look at stripes across the bread, and it toasts to a perfect golden brown with very little need for butter/spread. EASE...

Advantages: Reduces fat in your diet. Easy to use . Cuts down on cooking time
Disadvantages: Difficult to clean , no control over temperature , drip trays are not wide enough

...3 minutes. It takes about 5 minutes to fully heat up. I would recomend brushing oil onto the hotplate as even though it is non-stick the meat juices tend to set hard onto the hotplate. If you plan to use this to cook anything except the above foods then buy another model of the george Foreman grill with a temperature setting control and a timer....

Advantages: Cooks both sides at once.
Disadvantages: Drip tray's are a bit shallow.

Silver George Foreman MINI Grill + Griddle!

Advantages: Creates good tasting food with that freshly BBQ'd look and flavour!
Disadvantages: Expensive, hard to clean and quite bulky to keep on the side

...using, letting it coll and cleaning it I had to wind up the cord and put it in a cupboard. It is easy to use and the manual is good however it's pretty much striaght forward; i.e. plug in, switch switch, choose setting, turn dail and set time to cook. The only problems I had really were not much to do with using the mechanisms of it but just the fact that the plates get so hot and i over lap my fingers around the handlge that I got burnt a few times and have 3 nice little tear scar marks just above the tips if my fingers and the surface top of my hand. The other problem I had with this George foreman cooking device was the very difficult task of cleaning it. Especially when one cooks oily, fatty, greasy or cheesy items as the wonderful slope that is designed to tip fat away from your food, actually causes more hasle and possibly more...

...Christmas 2003 was a turning point for our household. Not only were Only Fools and Horses on TV but we were also given a George Foreman Grill thanks to very generous friends. I had been on the Atkins diet for several months but my wife was on the Rosemary Connoly Hip & Thigh diet. With this gift the vast gulf between low-fat and low carbohydrate was bridged. We have now become almost evangelical in out recommendation of this excellent product. There are many different variants of the original product. Some have bun warmers, some have outside barbecue dimensions and properties, but our grill is a simple grill! You can cook four rashers of bacon side by side in this ? at a pinch. I have no idea how much was paid for our George Foreman Grill but a sneak into Robert Dyas sees a whole range available starting at around £35...

...We have bought a new kitchen appliance recently - it's a George Foreman Grilling Machine (Model 12617) and it is the best thing ever!! We sort of bought it 'by accident'. Mum, dad and me went into town about a week ago. We were looking around some DIY shops as mum wants to have our kitchen painted a different colour and she'd like some new kitchen units. We can't afford it and dad was trying to persuade her to just change the cupboard doors. He said it would 'transform' the kitchen at half of the cost. Mum wasn't convinced though and still said she wanted the whole lot changing. While we were looking around B&Q mum spotted some George Foreman Grills.
