...Get Smart (2008) Pickings were a bit slim last night so my daughter was surfing Sky and came across this film, which we meant to see at the cinema but never got around to. I was a reluctant viewer as I didn't think that it looked that good to be honest... What Is It All About? This is basically a spy movie that is a comedy (based upon a tv series), focusing on Maxwell Smart (Steve Carell) and his desire to become an agent. He takes test after test, but keeps failing and has to be satisfied with being an analyst instead. Of course a terrorist plot comes to light and all of a sudden, Max looks like an attractive option. Get Carter (2000) Review

Advantages: Stallone
Disadvantages: Little Action

...Despite some interesting moments between Stallone and Rouke, as well as some nice editing, this remake of the 1971 British gangster starring Michael Caine is a pretty drab affair. Many critics have argued already that this is a result of how routine the storyline is -- Carter (Stallone) is out to avenge his brother's death -- but this is a remake, what else would they expect? Personally, my gripe is with the lack of action. Stallone threatens on numerous occasions in Get Carter to seriously kick some arse with all his tough talking and trademark snarl, but there's never really any follow through. Sure, he throws a few punches and fires a couple of shots (as a man in his business should); however, the film, on the whole, prefers to concentrate on Stallone being a good uncle, as if to say the character is really quite compassionate...

...After seeing this CD advertised on the TV last night and being somewhat a fan of Russell Watson I decided today that I would treat myself and so I bought it. I am very pleased with my purchase as this is a lovely easy listening CD. The cover of the CD is white and has a picture of Russell standing to the right hand side and the title in white lettering on the arm section of his picture. The back cover of the CD has a picture again of Russell standing with a microphone to the left hand side and the track list in black to the right hand side. The tracks on 'People Get Ready' are:- 1.
