Okay, he got rich!
Review of Get Rich Or Die Tryin' (Special Edition) [ECD] [PA] - 50 Cent by
paulhanton
Advantages: Great tracks.
Disadvantages: Some howlers.
.... but the music is busy, confusing and pretty good. 6/10.
Track 12. Poor little rich.
More naffness. "I tell the ho's whatever they wanna hear", please! 1/10.
Track 13. 21 questions.
Great track this, good sampling, good story, all about a bit of self awareness, it is his money and fame which gets him the girls.....what if that wasn't there? what if he ended up in jail? A lyrical exploration of his self doubt.....probably the only 'true' track on the CD. 8/10.
Track 14. Don't push me.
More ego, more threats, more grandiose stories, more guns, more violence. yawn. 2/10.
Track 15. Gotta make it to heaven.
Nothing, nonsense. 0/10.
Track 16. Wanksta.
Great backing, quite cool lyrics, almost comedic, yet serious too, 'dissing' anyone who thinks they are as hard as him. 7/10.
Track 17. U not like me.
I really like this track. He sets...

Get Moisture Rich Lips
Review of Avon Care Rich Moisture Lip Balm by
dahlin
Advantages: Moisturises, softens, protects lips
Disadvantages: None
...The Product
Avon Care Rich Moisture Lip Balm is normally priced at£1, and is available in the Avon brochures, either from your Avon rep, or online at Avon shop.co.uk.
Why I Bought It
I often get very dry lips, especially at work due to the air-conditioning, and during the winter months. I've tried many lip balms over the years, but the problem is I seem to be allergic to most of them, coming out in a rash every time I use them. Up until recently the only one I'd found that I wasn't allergic to was a Clinique one, which cost £9 per tube, and I didn't really like the feel of it on my lips. So, when I saw this in the Avon book for £1, I though I'd give it a go.
The Packaging
The product comes in the form of your typical lip balm tube, which screws up from the bottom. It's made of light blue plastic with a darker blue...

Got rich and stopped trying
Review of Get Rich Or Die Tryin' DVD by
coates187
Advantages: Good soundtrack for 50 cent fans
Disadvantages: poor acting, poor directing, poor script
...growing up, witnessing his mothers troubles and ultimate death, aswell as deciding to get into the family business. The general outline of the rest of the movie with Greer grown up is similar to musical counterpart Eminems 8 mile. New York drug dealer Marcus Greer/Young Caesar (Jackson) finds that his future lie away from a life of crime after a spell in prison. Out of prison, however, the temptation of money gets the better of him and his manager Bama (the impressive Terrence Howard). A robbery soon turns to violence as Marcus nearly loses his life as he is, yes you guessed it, shot outside of his house. Greer then decides he must focus solely on the music as he has to provide for his girlfriend Charlene (Joy Bryant) and new born son.
Other cast members include the British hip hop artist-turned-actor Ashley Walters, Omar Benson Miller (8...

Mcvities Rich Tea Biscuits
Review of McVities Rich Tea Biscuits by
newby2
Advantages: Mcvities Rich Tea Biscuits
Disadvantages: Mcvities Rich Tea Biscuits
...there is not much to say about the biscuit itself as it is really no made up of much and people can find it rather dry to eat. However as someone who likes to dunk biscuits I think these are just perfect for the job.
I really can’t bring myself to dunk any other biscuit than the rich tea it just doesn’t seem right. I know people who dunk their bourbon biscuits in their tea and this just makes me mad! Bourbons should definitely not be dunked and this I feel can ruin the taste of the tea.
My boyfriend actually has the cheek to dunk buttered toast in his tea, IN PUBLIC! This is such a nasty thing to do and I think he does it just to wind me up! The butter comes off and melts to the top of his teacup! You don’t get any sort of problems when dunking a rich tea other than over dipping and loosing the dunked biscuit in the tea which can...

I wish he had Died Trying...
Review of Get Rich Or Die Tryin' (Special Edition) [ECD] [PA] - 50 Cent by
bigdiship-hop
Advantages: Humorous at times, Good Production Moments, Some Solid Tracks, Eminem Appearances, No Skits
Disadvantages: Simplistic and Terribly-Written Rhymes, Horrible Subject Matter, Commercialism, Lack of Creativity, Cliche, Boring
...After ruling the underground and mixtape scene for the past 6 years, Queens, NY emcee 50 Cent has finally gotten his big break after signing on the dot to be the next new rapper on Eminem's "Shady Records". Young Curtis Jackson finally got in the big league with the big boys, and it was time for him to unleash himself upon the hip hop industry. Built upon as one of the most anticipated new albums of 2003, 50 Cent's major label debut on Eminem's Shady Records, entitled Get Rich or Die Trying, has more bark than its bite. Even Aftermath CEO and legendary producer / rapper Dr. Dre was quoted in saying that this album was going to be another hip hop classic, along the lines of Reasonable Doubt, Illmatic, The Chronic, and Marshall Mathers LP. Boy was he ever so wrong...
Get Rich or Die Trying is nothing but a big cloud of hot air. Even I...

We're having ourselves a Big and Rich time!
Review of Horse Of A Different Color - Big & Rich by
Tea65
Advantages: Even if you're not a country music fan you'll love this album
Disadvantages: Not long enough
...to get on in life and have fun and party but not everyone feels the same as him and he gets a hard time because of his view.
This song is just so much fun. It's very catchy especially at the end because when you think the song is over; Big 'n' Rich do a ditty and rope everyone in to singing a nonsense song about bedroom music and being Superman...very funny.
Six Foot Town
-------------------
This track is about someone who's feeling stiffled by the town he's living in and that he knows better than everyone else around him and that when he hits 21 everyone had better watch out.
This is a great coming of age song. You've probably been there, I know I have, people just seem to be getting in the way or butting in on your life and all you want to do is fight and push them back....very catchy tune.
Holy Water...

Not just for the Rich!
Review of McVities Rich Tea Biscuits by
rowei
Advantages: Light, buttery taste; crunchy; good value for money; very addictive
Disadvantages: Very crumbly; not conducive to dunking
...of this is a picture of one of the biscuits with some crumbs next to it.
The packets have a handy tear off strip at the top to make it easy to get to the biscuits. But BEWARE! Often you open a new packet to find the top few biscuits crushed to bits, so if you're not careful, you end up getting crumbs everywhere! Very annoying indeed.
SMELL
As soon as you open the wrapper, a nice buttery aroma wafts out. It is also quite malty, with a very slight hint of tea. It is the kind of smell that instantly makes you feel hungry...a freshly baked smell.
LOOK & FEEL
For those of you not familiar with them, Rich Tea biscuits are round, about 8cm in diameter and half a cm in thickness. They are a wonderful golden brown colour and like their cousin, the Digestive, have a series of tiny holes bored into the surface. A wheat-like image and the words 'Mc...

NEITHER RICH NOR TASTY
Review of Sainsbury's Rich Tea Biscuits by
dabmim
Advantages: see review
Disadvantages: see review
...If there is one thing about being on a controlled diet I really don’t like, is the fact that biscuits are out! Well okay not completely out, but no more can I stuff my face in the morning with them to ‘fill me up’. No more can I load my stomach with a packet of chocolate covered biscuits for my mid morning break. Gone are the times I could buy 1 packet of Maryland cookies (oh how I love Maryland cookies), and get one pack free, and not worry about trying to forget where I put them, so I wouldn’t eat them all at once.
No life has changed, my diet has changed, and therefore I have too. My fat intake has been reduced, my sugar count remains within range, I’ve quite smoking, I don’t drink, and so I should feel good right? Na, instead I miss my little indulgences of biscuits, I sometimes sit and crave...

A poor mans Rich tea biscuit
Review of Tesco Value Rich Tea Biscuit by
mumsymary
Advantages: Good value
Disadvantages: bit boring really
...Rich tea biscuits for a poor man.
These are a pack of value biscuits I am reviewing. 300g of biscuits for 25p can't get much cheaper than that. There are about 25 or 26 biscuits in a pack so 1p a biscuit can't be bad. Mc Vities 300g rich tea pack costs 71p from Tesco so as you can tell from the price. Rich tea biscuits are not the most exciting of biscuit.
The Tesco value pack comes in the standard value packaging white with blue writing a picture of a couple of biscuits on it too , blue ends of the paper seal the end of the biscuit pack .. If you do not wish your friends to notice that you are so poor/mean you have to buy value biscuits then unwrap put them in a biscuit tin or arrange on a plate to serve.
Personally I am not desperately keen on rich tea biscuits of any kind. The Tesco value rich tea are an ok biscuit...

Riches from REM
Review of Life's Rich Pageant (Remastered) - R.E.M. by
rsmith
Advantages: Some knockout songs, good production
Disadvantages: No lyric sheet
...REM tried something a little different for their 4th album, getting in Don Gehman to produce. He was mainly famous for his work with John Cougar Mellancamp. Maybe the band wanted to create a more traditional kind of rock album, rather than the distinctly indie / college radio sound of their previous work. Whatever their reasons, I think “Life’s rich pageant” does mark a tendency towards a more mainstream sound, in many respects.
The title’s a phrase from Inspector Clouseau (from “A shot in the dark”), but why REM chose it as the title to their fourth album is, like Michael Stipe’s vocals at the time, about as clear as mud. It’s not, for one thing, a mumbling Clouseau-like collection – it is a rich mix of tracks, though, and contains some of my favourite REM songs. At the time...
