After our first day, we decided that Singapore was definitely a nice city to visit. It is a comfortable and safe feeling city that offers a wide variety of shopping and food. We found prices cheap against the £, even at the name brand stores which were very plentiful. ~Day 2~ We decided to make an early start and return to Suntec City to buy 2 day tickets for HiPPO tours. At the price of 1 tour, you can get a Sightseeing Pass that allows you to enjoy 6 fabulous tours over 2 full days from 10 am to 10 pm. It is free & easy, unlimited ride on the open top HiPPO bus. Review of Singapore

Delighting guests every single day. Mandarin Oriental Singapore.

Advantages: Great location. Excellent service that isn't too Singaporean! New rooms with excellent features!
Disadvantages: You will pay for the pleasure!

...For those who have been keeping up with my Mandarin Oriental exploits then this is the third installment. Today I shall review one of Singapore?s finest five star hotels and let you into the world of Mandarin Oriental Singapore. I have stayed at a variety of hotels in Singapore but none have come as close to the perfect stay that you get at MO. I last stayed here in 2007 when the hotel was just branded as The Oriental, however Mandarin Oriental have since renamed the property under their full brand, just to make you aware in case you read reviews on either of the properties, they are in fact the same. Budget Holiday In Singapore

Orchad Road is the most well know area in Singapore. There are a lot huge shopping center, food point and hotel. Singapore - the Hotel 81 chain

Advantages: Cheap, clean and safe
Disadvantages: Not for the faint-hearted if you don't like the real world

...the luxury of 5 star food and accommodation. But there is a rougher side to me which relishes the chance to see the seemier side of life, see local life (in this case oriental) as it really is, all the yells bells and smells of working class Singapore. I was therefore extremely surprised to see, as the taxi driver was approaching my hotel, that I was into something seemy here and I was a bit worried. I needn't have been because, once I was inside,the staff on the reception desk were just too polite, and helpful. Questions like where do you recommend to eat (these hotels don't have eating facilities), how to get cheaply into the city centre etc were all answered in detail in impeccable English and with sincerity. Paradise and a Singapore Sling

...are many other lovely places to visit and you can usually get a list of places that might interest you from your hotel’s information desk. Shopping is also great with clean shopping centers and boutiques along Orchard Road that sell a wide variety of products to suit everyone’s needs. Make sure you bargain though. You should start from half the price of what they tell you. The nightlife is also very nice with lots of restaurants and activities. The only thing that may put some people off is the strictness in which Singapore enforces it’s “stay clean” policy. In a way it is really very good and the country is spotlessly clean. Heavy fines are enforced if you litter, don’t flush the public toilet, rowdiness etc etc. This really did not put is off and we didn’t have any problems with this...

We Had A Singapore SLING!!

First they offered congratulations and then they pre-checked us in and helped choose seats that would offer extra leg room and easy access to the toilets. They did this for the two flights we had with them- Heathrow to Singapore and Singapore to Hong Kong. We were happy about this but sceptical that we would actually get the seats. So, 4 hours before flight when check-in opened we were 8th in line!! Sure enough, the lady explained that we would definitely be getting the seats we had requested. She also explained that we could board the flight as one of the first passengers to help get me settled.
