GETTING AROUND IN LONDON BY TUBE
Advantages: Environmentally-friendly way to get around. Cheap, avoid the traffic. Free Metro newspaper.
Disadvantages: Crowded!
...This review is old and bad...I'd read other (better) reviews if I were you..
Ways of getting in to and around London~~
Whenever I go to London I always go by tube, when I go in with my friends and when I go in with my parents. To me it's the only way to go, I hope this opinion explains why clearly.
Going into London by car is not nice, the driver gets stressed with all the traffic and stressed with trying to find a car parking space. And when you do find a space you will be most likely horrified at how much it will cost for a few hours car parking.
Did you know a London car-parking meter earns more per hour than someone serving at McDonalds? Yup its true, thanks go to the Daily Mail for that interesting fact! And even if you do go to London by car you will still most likely end up using the tube to get around once your in...

London Tube from the Prespective of a Visitor
Advantages: Fast, Fairly Easy to Get Around
Disadvantages: Expensive, Could be Crowded, Unreliable
...First of all, let me start off by saying that I do not use the tube regularly. I only use it once in awhile when I have to go to London.
My first impression of the tube was the really low ceiling which made me feel a little claustrophobic and the very high prices. A single is 3 pounds and a day ticket I think was 4.90, which of course makes it better to get a day ticket if you know you will travel more than once. I normally get on the tube at Paddington and another shocking thing for me was the escalators, which are very steep and long and give you a bit of a creepy feeling but I guess everyone gets used to it with time.
After the first time I used it, I gained confidence. I saw that it was a fast way of transport and you can easily get from one place to another by changing lines. As I was going for an interview, I wanted to...

Getting around in 'Pool
Advantages: Great public transport and plenty of car parking
Disadvantages: Alot of bus routes that could confuse some people
...BLACKPOOL EXPERIENCE - GETTING AROUND
In this review I have summarised the main ways of getting to, and around in, Blackpool. Most of my direct experience has been by public transport as I have only recently passed my driving test and have not driven much in Blackpool. I have, however, seen my parents driving around and parking.
CAR
Blackpool is easily reached by car having it?s own direct link to the national motorway network at the M6 along the M55.
Once in Blackpool driving around varies depending on the time of year. During the Summer Holidays the numerous car parks can get full and during the illuminations the promenade is a slow moving traffic jam after dark. For the town centre we have usually parked on the Hounds Hill or West Street multi-storey car parks. There are also a large number of open air car parks running south...

Number 1 Transport For London
Advantages: Fast, Cheap, Easy, Efficent,
Disadvantages: Busy Times, Can cause problems in the summer due to high temperatures or too much people,
...** UPDATE - This is just a little update well a warning if you have asthma or any other crampness or hotness affections than my advice is not to travel in the tube. Temperatures rise very high in packed trains so if you do have asthma than it will cause problems it is better off travelling via other transports. Also the free newspaer called METRO is available at most stations and keeps you entertained while on the tube. END OF UPDATE**
If you are like me, and you do not have a car and you want to travel around London with an alternative route. Well then the next best thing to a car is getting around London in a tube a.k.a The London Underground!!
I usually travel around London in the tube or sometimes using the railway. Which ever one both services are absolutely great.
OK, let me start the opinion. I do not want to talk ages...

Getting around Bournemouth
Advantages: The review tells the story
Disadvantages: The review tells the story
...busy. My advice is to book a cab well in advance if you know that you will be needing one later in the night.
BUS
There are two bus companies that operate in the Bournemouth area. There is the imaginatively named Yellow Buses and also Wilts and Dorset. Their services serve areas such as Poole, Christchurch and Wimborne. I have to get the bus to and from school every day. It is very annoying because the services are only every half an hour so you have to be there early to make sure you don't miss your bus. It isn't uncommon for a bus to be missed out, for whatever reason. Services start to thin out at around seven o'clock, so you can have a wait of about 2 hours between bus services on most routes.
Having grown up in London for the first 11 years of my life, taking a bus was something I did every day. It was the best and cheapest...

UNDER PRESSURE, UNDER LONDON, UNDER GROUND
Advantages: See review
Disadvantages: See review
...; one day Travelcards range from £4.00 to £6.50 – weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual options are all available. Over recent years, it has become common for ticket touts to collect discarded Travelcards and then attempt to sell them back to customers below the cover price. Whilst this may be a tempting way to save money, you’re only looking at a saving of a couple of quid – get caught and you face a penalty fare of considerably more. Similarly, always make sure that you have a valid ticket – entrance to most stations and platforms is through an automatic barrier – no ticket = no entry.
** Much of the rolling stock used in the London Underground is quite old. Few of the trains offer any more comfort than simple seats and dangly things to hold on to if you have to stand up (which you invariably will...

Freedom of the City, Old London Town
Advantages: Lots to see, lots to do, comprehensive travel deals
Disadvantages: Quite expensive, you need to stick with the programme to make it worthwhile.
...The allure and free availability of foreign travel these days has tended to cloud the attractions of destinations closer to home. Turning our eyes away from the distant west for once we recently spent a delightful week in London on a City break holiday. Even though it was April, the weather was cold and windy but dry and we filled our time with a variety of activities. I had no problem finding accommodation in the heart of the city (we booked an apartment two minutes away from Trafalgar Square; two minutes walk from Embankment Station with a view of the London Eye from the front room!). We also braved the vagaries of rail travel and found quite exceptional value travelling Weekend First from the North East.
Despite planning, reading guide books and asking friends and travel agents it is often a problem navigating the transport system...

London Taxi - Get taken for a ride
Advantages: very easy to find a cab
Disadvantages: if you don't know where you're going you could be ripped off
...If you've never been to London before, make sure you know the name of the streets and how to get there as my experience of London cabbies was not the one I've seen on TV where they know everything about everything.
We ended up being charged £25.00 for a trip that we found out later should only have cost about £8.00, you look like a tourist and you'll be treated like one.
Finding a taxi is very easy however, you'll never have a problem, night or day. There's a taxi rank on most corners in the busy parts (which is everywhere in central London).
Overall it's about planning, as with any trip if you plan right then you'll have no problems, London has a huge number of taxis, which provide lots of options of travel, and if you know roughly how much it should cost to get from A to B then you'll be fine. But you may be taken for a ride...

Getting around anywhere by bus
Advantages: Cheap and reasonably convenient
Disadvantages: Can be dirty and uninviting
...Lost Angel gave a good account of getting around London by bus but what about the
man/women sitting in the front seat?
I have sat in that seat for a good many years and in different parts of the country. In
the 1960s it used to be fun. Lots of good mates and lots of cheerful passengers. Ever
been on a 05.00 bus travelling towards the City area of London. It used to be packed
with char ladies who were the chirpiest lot of people you would ever come across.
Heaven help the newly passed out conductor on this run. They would leave him
stripped naked and then get off laughing their heads off. many a driver used to wedge
the cab door shut to keep them from dragging him out of the cab. The Instructors at
London Transport were the best in the world and to have earned your badge with them
was something to be proud of.
They were...

ngcrossohwhyohfuckingwhydoipayeightyquidamonthforthisyoulondonundergroundbastards."
So there.
Don't get me wrong, I love the tube. I particularly love it when you stand for half an hour on a packed sardine-tin, wondering who on earth came up with the concept of going to work at nine o'clock in the morning (evidently a complete twat, possibly called Jamie Oliver). So you're standing and you're, er, standing - the options here are rather limited - and then, through your dreamy haze, you spot someone getting off the train, freeing up a seat. You manoeuvre slowly towards it, only for some hyperactive bastard boarding the train having spotted the seat from the outside to jump into it as though it were the front of the 'Get Britney's Virginity Here' queue. This is only half the problem, as then you meander around for three seconds...
