...If there is one beauty product I could not live without it HAS to be my GHD's!!!!! I got my first pair the year they came out when super straight hair was the only hair to have!! I myself have almost waist length wavy hair which is super frizzy when not properly dryed and styled. My first pair lasted 3 yrs and then the wire split where the irons and wire met, so I thought oh I will buy a cheap pair they all have ceramic plates now!! WRONG decision or what!!! They took ages to heat up and my hair felt like it was sticking to the plates instead of gliding! I was so not impressed!! GHD how far can you get a professional result?

...Right, these straightners are gorgeous, and hey I must say, they're great, get nice and hot and really do heat up very quickly and straighten heair well and fast. BUT... I have had 5 pairs of GHD straightners in the last few years...each one has blown up after 12 months!! I kept getting them cause of the new colours they brought out...a good maketing technique there GHD....but the only pair which have yet to blow are the pink pair which I have now! I had these white ones for just 6 monhts and they blew up on me, I do use them alot, but, thats no excuse, they should last alot longer than 6 months!! Yes if they're within warrently, they'll be replaced, but for over £100 you expect at least 3 years from them!!!!! Yes they do heat up very quickly but I got a pair of Remington straightners two days ago, which get hotter in the same time...

GHD - the straight out winners

Advantages: Amazingly straight hair for EVERY hair type!
Disadvantages: They're incredibly hot! Avoid burns by being extra careful during use..

...and waited... and waited... and waited for them to heat up. How long do those things take?! Anyway, after half an hour of enduring the look of my awful frizzy wavy flicks I attempted straightening. Honestly, the Babyliss straighteners took ages to heat up and then didn't even work! I tried everything to get my hair to resemble the vision it was the day before, even ironing my hair with an iron but to no avail. Refusing to pay the £100 the expensive salon asked for their personal straighteners, I went online in search of cheaper straighteners that would actually straighten. And found... GHD! They were only slightly cheaper at £80 but they looked as if they would work with all their blurb about negative ion charges sealing in moisture (didnt have a clue what they were on about but it sounded good) and every review I read on them praised them...

...Won't leave the house unless i have use my GHD's, they are so quick to heat and ready to use within in 7 seconds. The straighteners are slim and light weight which makes straighening my hair even simplier and feel comfortable in my hand. GHD straighteners glide through my hair without pulling or breaking any hair as i have experianced in the pass with other brands and my hair always feels soft and looks glossy after use. GHD straighteners brings out the colour in my hair which I am alway commented on by collgues at work who ask how i get my hair so glossy looking I simply tell them I use GHD Ceramic Straighteners every morning after washing my hair. the magic of GHD

Advantages: it leaves your hair feel very good

...these straighteners are very good, some straighteners take you forever to get your hair straight but with the GHD it's different, you'll be done in minutes after using this starighteners and you do see the result, you can increase the temperature for different her type, the good thing about it is, it also cools itself down so that it's not too hot whilst using it. believe me when i saw that it's value for money, i recommend this to a few of my girlfriends they went out and bought it and was disoppoint with it all all. this is some magic straightener, i have thick hair but it works so don't worry if your hair is too thick or too thin, you can adjust the heat temperture to suit you and it works well and won't burn your hair...
