...I'm a girl with seriously curly hair, and I mean seriously curly! The term taming always seems to be used when describing what should be done with my hair. No matter what products I tried to use they didn't seem to work- wither making my hair greasy and lank or doing absolutely nothing at all. Then about three years ago all my friends started getting GHD's, what the manufacturers term "a new religion for hair" and indeed it is. However, they were retailing at around £119 a pair three years ago, and these were just way out of my price range, being but a mere 6th form girl! I tried buying other straighteners but these did not seem to give the same impressive results as the GHD's did to my friends. Not just a straightener...it's a stlyer

...I love it! calling it a straightner doesn't not do it justice, it styles hair into pretty much any shape. I personally love the perfect curls i can create myself. It even comes with a dvd to show you how to straighten, wave, and curl your into different looks, so you can try something new everyday. They flash and beep when they are hot enough and they only take about 20 seconds to heat up, therefore there's a super quick cool down time too. And it comes with a heat map to store them in and you don't burn any surface you put them on. One of the problems i have had with previous straightners i've had is that i leave them on by accident so they have a mini explosion and don't work any more. GHD, makes a bad hair day a good hair day

...These straighteners are the best hair straighteners I have ever used, they heat up in about 10 seconds, beep when they're ready to use and then if you forget to turn them off they switch themselves off which is great if you're like me and have often come home to find my bed covers completely singed. They're very hot which although on the one hand is good because they work really well for every type of hairstyle you can ever want to do, straighten, curl, volumise etc. However, if you don't use a comb when straightening your hair you can quite often burn your fingers on your hair. GHD really do offer quality products as a general rule and I would never use any other straighteners. This is my 3rd pair of GHD's so really I have no complaints, however, my hot pink straighteners have had to be sent back to GHD on 2 different occasions...

Excellent Straighteners & a Great Gift

Advantages: Durable, Perfect Straight Hair, So Simple To Use
Disadvantages: Don't use on wet hair it damages them

...I won't go into amazing detail as there are so many good reviews on here but i bought these for my girlfriend as she kept borrowing out her old GHD's which her friend seemed to ruin and she loves them. She is a hairdresser and swears by GHD she should actually just change jobs and promote them that?s how passionate and convincing she can be. And to quote her in some way - Yes they are more expensive than most of the other brands but unless you are really unlucky you will never need to own another pair of straighteners again as they are so good and durable. The fact that she can do hers & my hair in just one stoke achieving perfect straightness is amazing and after seeing others struggle and steam go flying into the hair i recommend you spend the extra pennies because it is worth it. My hair almost feels weightless, and seems so much more manageable. It almost seems like my hair is like the models' hair you see on adverts for shampoos!! ...fantastic at curling your hair, it has taken me a long time to get the hang of doing this as typically the girl in the dvd makes it look so easy, and I have to say its only easy after hundreds of times practising. They create the volume look, waves and flicks, you can actually use these to create so many looks. I will try and explain a bit of how to style your hair with GHD hair straightners although bear with me on this one as its not easy to explain without showing you let alone explaining it on here... Whatever style you decide to have you will need to seperate you hair into sections, I find this is easier to put my hair into bunches and do half at a time.
