Huge warehouse on the easily found Team Valley trading Estate, this has been opened a few years now, and is usually busy?one of those places to go to when it's raining and you need something to amuse the kids.
The whole area is divided into sections for under 2s, which is basically ball pools and Little vehicles to drive in a specially enclosed area, an area for under 5s, which is more of the same but with some slides and climbing frames added, and then there is the real "I am" things. These include a giant slide 3 storey climbing frame, as many nets and tunnels as you can negotiate, basketball area (there are coaching nights), PS2 and x box areas complete with some of the latest games and a mini village with small road system. Definitely something for everything if nerves can take it!!

Advantages: Visually stunning Disadvantages: Might be put off due to comparisons with a classic book

I’m not a big fan of book adaptations into movies especially when they mess around with a book which was as significant to me as the Iron Giant was, that said I can’t recall a great deal about the book itself, just the opening scenes. The filmmakers inevitably mess around with the plot, squeeze in a bit of non-existent love interest and give it and action ending. They also commit the almost unforgivable sin of uprooting it all and sticking it in heartland America...

What is often forgotten is that The Scorpions were a truly great rock band before 1979 and had turned out some fine albums before the commercial breakthrough came.
This release is a solid example of the material the band delivered at that time.
Though is sold as the double set of the two mid seventies studio albums 'In Trance' and 'Virgin Killer', the set also also includes as bonus material, all tracks from the 1974 studio album 'Fly To The Rainbow'.

Those clever people at Ministry of Sound have put together al collection of trance tunes spanning the past ten years or so, and they've picked some absolute corkers. Three discs of classic offerings to bring those memories flooding back, covered in more detail below...glowsticks optional!
So how would you kick off such a collection? Something a few years old, huge at the time and still sounding as good eleven years on perhaps. Step forward Underworld - Born Slippy, the Trainspotting anthem and a great opener for the next 53 tracks.

...We have a very old copy of James and the Giant Peach. I believe it was my wife's when she was a little girl. Now, we have started reading Roald Dahl books to our son, with him reading bits and bobs for himself as we go along. The latest one is Jame sand the Giant Peach, and it really is a very well created and told story.
Dahl is one of the most celebrated children's authors ever. His storytelling was amazing in my eyes when I was a kid, and it still is now that I am an adult. I had never read this one before we started reading it to Will, so it was as much of an exciting read for me as it was for him.
James is a sad boy. He lives with his Aunt Sponge and his Aunt Spiker in a house with a sloping garden. They are horrible to him, and he longs for the day when he doesn't have to be looked after them any more. His time comes sooner...

Review of The Iron Giant (DVD)
...It was with more than a little reluctance that I found myself entering my local Odeon cinema clutching a ticket to see The Iron Giant. I had not been greatly impressed by most of the recent Disney offerings(A Bugs Life aside) and the thought of seeing a non-Disney movie with a voice-over cast list of B-movie standard actors didn’t do much to whet the appetitie. However, I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised to find that The Iron Giant was not another Disney-wannabe but rather a thought provoking morality tale packed with social commentary and humour and with enough of both to entertain both adults and children. The hokey comedy element is not the main feature of The Iron Giant as is the case with many other animated cartoons, but a complementary element of the movie as a whole and as such I feel that it works well on both...
