...When Baby B was christened we were bought so many gifts it was amazing to see just how thoughtful and generous people were. Mrs B and I spent a good half an hour opening presents whilst baby B watched on making sure she didn't miss a thing! One of the presents we were bought was this Elmer the elephant gift set and when we opened it both Mrs B and I said "Oh wow!" What is it? It is basically a spoon, a cup (with two handles either side), a plate and a bowl with the Elmer the elephant design on all made from plastic so it is ideal for young children. What does it look like? Elmer the elephant is a children's story character. Elmer is a big friendly elephant made from patchwork so as you can imagine very colourful! Elmer has big squares of different bright colours all over her body and this makes her stand out...

Nicky Clarke Nano NSS013 Slim Salon Straightener Gift Set

Advantages: Light, very compact and cheap
Disadvantages: No disadvantages were to be found by me

...In my opinion these straighteners are better than GHDs - GHDs are good but seem to pull on my hair when I use them and cause static. These Nicky Clarke straighteners are just as hot (I think about 210 or 230 depending on the heat setting) and in my opinion do a better job. They make my hair look nice and shiney, they heat up quick, look good, get right to the roots easily and are quite compact and light too! They come with a heat proof bag which in some cases you dont always get with the ghd's. One thing I would also like to say is whilst on holiday in Greece doing my hair seemed so much less of a chew. No sweating while trying to straighen my hair, Also supplied in this gift set is a brush and sectioning grips, a must for me Im afraid which again are a bonus to have. Anyway rant over, these are really good as a gift...

Great cool water gift set for women.

Advantages: Body lotion and shower gel compliment the fragrance, box is useful too.
Disadvantages: None.

...I have the larger set that includes 75ml shower gel, 100ml EDT spray and also 75ml body lotion. The set was a present and is great if you love this fragrance. The bottle is the usual design but the set is great. The smell is suited very well to young people and is fairly strong and vibrant. The body lotion is a good thickness, smells of cool water but not too strongly. The shower gel is good, foams fairly well and again, has the strength of the body lotion, not too strong but you can tell which smell it is. I've used the shower gel and body lotion when I wanted the fragrance without the strength of the spray, or when going out have used all 3 and smelled lovely all night! All comes in a great lift off lid box which can be used when the products have run out, with the bonus of the box also smelling like a fab perfume....

Review of Davidoff Cool Water Gift Set for Her

Gifted!

Advantages: Just brilliant in every way

...a joy to read from start to finish, and really had me sitting and thinking as I turned the final few pages. It is really a moral story, with a bit of magic thrown in to cheer it up, but come the ending everything comes together in a quite shocking ending which really made me sit up and reread what I had just read! Ahern seems to have the ability to create a magical world on paper which you can visualise yourself so deeply that you are thrown so deeply into the story, you want to keep reading right until the end all in one go! The shiny snowflake cover allows this book to be a great Christmas gift as well as a book that is going to be great to bring out for Christmas again and again. I borrowed by copy from the library but will getting myself a copy as soon as its out in paperback. Highly recommended, I absolutely loved it - this is one book...

The Gift

Advantages: Very Well Written.
Disadvantages: Start is a bit confusing.

...This is the third novel of Cecelia Ahern's that I have read and, while PS I Love You was probably my favourite, this is still a very good book. This book is about Lou Suffern, a workaholic who seems to put his work, meetings and colleagues before anything else. His family seem to be way down at the bottom of his priorities. On his way into work one day, he stops to speak to Gabe, a homeless man and he becomes intrigued as Gabe seems to know more about what is happening in his own office than he does. He thinks it would be useful to have Gabe around, so finds him a job within his company. However, when Gabe manages to be everywhere in the office at one time, Lou starts to become suspicious and resentful of Gabe - he wonders if Gabe is out to get his job. This book is set around Christmas time, when people put family first...

In the night garden ninky nonk train set

Advantages: strong, versatile, compact, nice bright colours, fun to play with

...I decided to buy the in the night garden ninky nonk train set from Amazon as my young daughter is a big fan of in the night garden and whenever it comes on TV she gets really excited. So as my daughter already had some of the other characters from the show I wanted her to have the whole set and since buying it the train set the ninky nonk train set has become one of her favourite toys to play with on a daily basis. The train set can come apart and be attached on many different ways and my daughter enjoys looking at the nice bright colours and putting some of the other in the night garden characters onto the train set even though it keeps falling of now and again it keeps her busy and sometimes I hear her in fits of giggles. The train set is very cute and versatile and its great as children such as mine can have hours of fun with it...

Looking a Gift Horse...

...I often wondered if I was missing something after seeing this film and having read all the reviews and heard all the exclamations of wonder that seemed to be directed at this 2002 film. It was okay, I suppose, but I felt it had been done many times before and that I was wise to everything that was going to happen. Review of Gift, The

Great Set? Oh Yes!

Advantages: Durable, Detailed Figures
Disadvantages: No accessories??

...As soon as I saw this set in a shop I knew I wanted it straight away! Firstly the detail of each figure is amazing. I especially thought so of the Davros figure. Davros and the Doctor figures look so much like their characters as do the daleks. Davros has the blue 'eye' on his head and his hands are vey detailed resting on the controls of his 'car'. The Doctor wears his brown suit with white shoes and like the other Doctor figures it much resembles David Tennant. The two Daleks are also great with the red Supreme Dalek having a plunger and a shooter and the gold Dalek having a spiked weapon and the lazer shooter. You can get this figure set from most shops for about £20, which is good value for money considering each figure separately is about £7.99. I don't own this figure set as I already own a Doctor figure...

...This set can be found in the Aromatherapy section of the Avon Catalogue. It is a simple grey metal tin which contains products that have the essential oil Jasmine. A sent connected with relaxation and love! The tin contains one sented candle, a tub of massage and body cream(200mls) and a bottle of Bath and shower gel (200mls). Just imagine the womans's delight when she lies in her jasmine bubble bath, sipping a glass of refreshing chilled white wine, relaxing after a hard day at work. The candle gives a senual air to the room, creating romance and sensitivity. Then there is the massage cream, need I say more....... Well all in all, I think this a lovely gift and would be happy to recieve it Christmas morning. It cost 8.99 pound and great value for money.
