I have never really been into MP3 players, walkmans and all other portable music gadgets but i have recently started training to do a half marathon and to reduce the risk of me dying of boredom (rather than me just keeling over through lack of fitness)whilst completing numberous long training runs i finally decided to buy the ipod shuffle.
Oh my god, this product has changed my entire opinion on hi-tec gadgets. The sound quality is crystal clear and it holds that many songs that even at my padestrian pace i will never get through all the songs before finnishing my run. Because its so light weight including the earphones, i dont even notice im wearing it and although i was concerned that the wires for the headphones might become annoying whilst running you dont notice them either.

Apple ipod classic 120 GB
Advantages: Stores a lot of music

.... The shuffle was not for me, as it does not have a screen and I wanted to watch videos. Quite cheap for about £25 ? but not what I wanted.
The next price range was the Nano with slightly more memory of 8-16 GB and with video function. Quite small and at about £80 ok in price.
Unfortunately it did not have enough memory for me, as I have thousands of tracks I like to listen to. So there it was, my new new baby:
The 6th generation Classic ? It has a whopping 120GB of Hard Disk memory. It plays video and of course music. I got it for £160 and it?s definitely worth it.
The instructions says it holds 30,000 songs or 150 hours of video. But this is just on average. It depends of course on the length of each song or movie.
I never used more than 82 of it. Which included 5231 songs and two short films.

The iPod Classic is the best once so far with many features. There is not much you can't do on your iPod Classic and with 160 GB of memory you cant go wrong. When you used to have the 2 GB iPod Nano you was always worrying about how much space you had left but now everything is going to change. The iPod Classic is very durable and is practically unbreakable.
The battery life on the iPod Classic is excellent. You can listen to music for up to 40 hours and you can watch videos for up to 7 hours. The memory is the best thing with the iPod Classic. You can hold up to 40,000 songs or 200 hours of video. It's just like having your whole music and video collection in your pocket. I paid about £200 for my iPod Classic and it was without a doubt well worth it.

...drive, the drive is instantly recognised by the computer. It may need formatting if you required to move extremely large files (over a couple of GB in size) but that's easy enough when you go to My Computer and right-click the drive. (I'm aware that some technophobes will already be lost on what I'm talking about here!)
It's proved reliable for me since the day I brought it, with copious video clips still sat on there, along with my gargantuan music collection. It's appearance is hardly streamline with it just looking like a rectangular box in a black matt finish. You can get sleeker, more stylish hard drives nowadays, but as mentioned previously, that happens with the competitive market for this type of product in an attempt to sell them.

First Call GB
Advantages: Cheap and Basic

...I have bought First Call GB breakdown cover for two years running having price comparison-ed them using moneysupermarket.com. I have only had need to call them once following a brake failure on the way to work. I was close enough that I though it better to nurse the car to work (in first gear and at 10mph) and park against a wall rather than risk leaving it unsecured on a busy through road in the city.
I made the call to First Call and was put through to a friendly bloke who explained that they use a local company and would raise a tow truck as soon as possible to get the car to my mechanic of choice. I arranged a time for collection (my lunch break) and the truck arrived, navigated the car park, took the car, delivered it to the garage, they fixed it! (I need to review my garage in Plymouth, they're flipping wonderful...
