The Amazing GA-P35-DS3R from Gigabyte
Review of Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3R - motherboard - ATX - iP35 by  xzibit89

Advantages: Great performance, unbelievable overclocking, high quality
Disadvantages: Large Vdroop, Easytune temperamental, IDE socket placement may cause problems

...I recently wrote a review for the Gigabyte GA-N650SLI-DS4L board. I wrote of how the board seemed excellent, but the two I used broke within a week, for no apparent reason. This board is another storey. The installation was very easy, especially as the board is slightly thinner than standard ATX boards, which allows more room to work in. All the connectors on the board are in sensible positions. The only problem I encountered was that the IDE socket gets in the way of one of the PCI cards - it fits, but it's a bit of a squeeze. The BIOS offers all options you would expect, including RAID and NCQ setups for the 8 SATA ports provided. It is when it comes to overclocking that this board excels. My FSB will run at at least 450MHz, 117 higher than the stock 1333Mhz. There are various voltage options, including CPU, memory... Read review

The Best in the Business
Review of Gigabyte GA-P35-DQ6 - motherboard - ATX - iP35 by  snootyjim

Advantages: Great for overclocking, fully features, well organised
Disadvantages: No DDR3 support, no proper SLI support

...enough. Gigabyte's effort comes in several flavours - the one being reviewed here is the GA-P35T-DQ6. While others were aimed at those looking for an upgrade on a budget, the DQ6 looked towards those who really wanted to get the absolute maximum performance out of their systems. However, the lack of a second full-speed PCI-E slot meant that those who wanted an SLI system with two graphics cards running concurrently would be left with a bit of a problem, since they would be restricted from the start. As such, those favouring SLI are forced to look towards the higher end X38 and X48 chipsets, or the nVidia 6 and 7 series boards. The Gigabyte P35-DQ6 Sporting the near-traditional "6-Quad" slogan (hence the Q6), the board claims to provide Quad BIOS, Quad Cooling, Quad eSATA 2, Quad Triple Phase, Quad Core Optimised Performance... GA-P35-S3
Review of Gigabyte GA-P35-S3 - motherboard - ATX - iP35 by  birchyboy

Advantages: Fast FSB and support for DDR2 at 1066MHz
Disadvantages: Only IDE support for one HDD and one CD-DVD drive

...I swapped to this from a slightly older Asrock 775i65GV, because the Asrock had only an AGP slot and no PCI-E - which I wanted for a decent graphics card. I also wanted a P35 based board for future upgrade to a quad core and in the meantime to use my existing 3.00 GHz P4 dual core. The board supports 64 bit processors, which Linux makes use of, but XP Pro doesn't. There are 5 SATA connections, but only one IDE so there is only support for one HDD and one CD-DVD drive. I got a Sapphire Radeon HD2600 Pro to go with it and now all my games run smoothly with every option turned on, including Next Gen and full screen anti-aliasing (VSYNC only slows it down and I don't need it with the DVI digital input anyway). Tomb Raider Legend looks really good, but takes too long for good game-play at maximum resolution. The BIOS can... Read review

Good board and great for overclocking
Review of Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R - motherboard - ATX - iP35 by  Closeratio

Advantages: Pretty intuitive BIOS, good overclocking facilities, very in-depth manual
Disadvantages: Some people have had memory issues with this board

...Besides the fact that this board used a good combination of the LGA-775 socket and the P35 chipset, the reason I purchased it to puy into my new computer was because it has DDR3 support. This makes the board slightly more future-proof as DDR3 prices and latencies are both starting to fall and with the brand new Intel chipset and socket coming out towards the end of this year (if i recall correctly), DDR3 prices will fall even more, as this new chipset will support DDR3 only. Anyway, the board. It came in the normal white box with colourful letters as with all new gigabyte motherboards these days. It was packaged in anti-static wrapping (as are all boards) and was separated from the various manuals and booklets by a thinfabric which can also be used to rest the motherboard on when inserting all the components into it. Not much... Read review

Gigabyte this
Review of Gigabyte GA-7NNXP - motherboard - ATX - nForce2 Ultra 400 by  bad_bob00

Advantages: Supports fast CPU's (upto Athlon 3200+), Crammed with features
Disadvantages: None really

...for the most highly recommended motherboards. I stumbled across the Gigabyte 7NNXP whilst looking through a computer magazine, and they had given it a golden rating and it was obviously highly recommended. I found many more good things written about the Gigabyte 7NNXP, on the internet mainly, and jumped at the chance of owning one myself. I was lucky enough to see it available on the Dabs website in the B-Grade stock section (my favourite place for looking for PC components). Apparently it had been used briefly by one other person, and was still boxed with all accessories, drivers and manuals etc. For £80 I thought it was a real bargain for what I was getting, and at this moment in time it was retailing for upwards £100. *Brief Company History* Gigabyte is one of the most recognised high-quality motherboard producers, a very reputable... iPod Nano 8 GB Green
Review of Apple iPod nano 8 GB by  Up-High-Down-Low

Advantages: High Quality Video Playback
Disadvantages: None So Far

...iPod Nano 8 GB Green Apple is one of the most well known companies in the world and they are mostly known for their computers and iPods. I have never met someone who hasn't heard of the company Apple. The iPod Nano is the best model of iPods released so far. I recommend that if you buy this product as a gift you should also purchase an iTunes gift voucher. With 8 GB of memory you just can't go wrong. The battery life on the iPod Nano is outstanding. You can watch up to 5 hours of video playback or 24 hours of audio playback just on one charge. The new design is the main reason I brought this iPod Nano. The iPod Nano its self is very durable and they very rarely break. There are many new features to the iPod Nano. Its most obvious feature is its wide design. Music is the main reason people buy iPod Nanos. With 8 GB of memory... Read review

Philips Go Gear 1 GB
Review of Philips GoGear SA6015 1 GB by  Up-High-Down-Low

Advantages: High Quality Music Playback
Disadvantages: Video Quality Isnt Great

...Philips Go Gear 1 GB Philips always aims to make their products easy and simple. With the Philips Go Gear they have achieved just that. With the Philips Go Gear you will have to use Windows Media Player to transfer files. In the past I have owned an iPod Nano and using iTunes to transfer music can be difficult if you're not that good with computers. I love using my Philips Go Gear, as it is so portable. The player its self has a very simple design and the player is very durable. The menu is very simple and easy to understand. The video quality isn't excellent but is ok to watch. The music quality is very good and finding music is not a problem. Instead of browsing by song you can also browse by artist, album and much more. You can even make a playlist with your favourite songs. The battery life is average. You can watch up... Read review

GIGABYTE MEGA BOARD
Review of Gigabyte GA-K8N Pro-SLI - motherboard - ATX - nForce4 SLI by  FUTURENOIR

Advantages: very future friendly
Disadvantages: seems cluttered

... When i chose my new motherboard, I prefer to stay with a trusted company and i've been useing GIGABYTE now for around 9 years and in that time i've purchased 5 motherboards each has been very releyable and ive never had any problem with them. The GIGABYTE GA-K8-SLI PRO is a mid ranged board and features 2 PCI EXSPRESS slots these 2 slots allowing 2 grafics cards that are compatable to work along side each othere meaning that you grafic's speed in games is almost doubled if 2 card's are fitted . With the abilety of 2 cards being used together this can save money in the near future if game speed begins to slow down, its just a case of finding the compatable card which will no doubt be alot cheaper in a year time and connecting them together its that easy. As this is a mid ranged card there is not any powerfull sound power included... Read review

Sony Sports Walkman 1 GB Silver

Advantages: Easy To Use And Great Design
Disadvantages: None So Far

...Sony Sports Walkman 1 GB Silver This Sony mp3 player was designed to be used whilst participating in sport. Sony has defiantly achieved their goal, as this mp3 player is perfect in every which way. I use mp3 Sony mp3 player when I go to the gym or go out for a run. With 80 GB iPods on the market some people may think 1 GB of memory is no a lot. If you want better memory then you can buy a 2 GB version, which come in black. I have never had any problems with my Sony mp3 player. The sound quality is very high and the mp3 player its self is very durable. I have dropped this mp3 player many times and it still works perfectly. This mp3 player is very simple and easy to use. The battery life is good and usually lasts about 8 hours with music playback. I paid about £60 for my Sony Sports Walkman and it was well worth it. This mp3... Read review

Review of Gigabyte Socket A GA-7DXR - motherboard - ATX - AMD-761 by  babajane32

Advantages: Dual bios and great stability
Disadvantages: Unnanounced conflicts and required settings

...GA-7VTX Socket A Gigabyte dual bios motherboard. Introduction; This Dual Bios motherboard designed to accept AMD/Duron/Athlon/XP processors, incorperates onboard sound,+4 USB,with DDR memorey and in innovative dual bios system. Having myself tried and tested this motherboard for 6 months in two machines,I am totally convinced of is usefulness and it's place in the market.Providing a very stable board and up to date technology,it has the added benefit of a system that protects your bios against viruses, power fluctuations, incorrect bios upgrades and bios chip failure. Its incorperated resources and features are good, and ample for a very respectable system. However there are a few factors to be considered when choosing a motherboard, and most of the conflicts and incompatibilty problems I have encountered are not documented...
