Jabra GN5035 multimedia USB headphones
Advantages: Sound quality, long cable, remote control
Disadvantages: Remote too far down the cable
...For anyone who makes a lot of calls Skype is a wonderful things assuming the person they are calling is also on Skype. Even calls to people with normal telephones can be done cheaply and easily, especially when used in conjunction with Skype's ability to embed links in web pages within your browser allowing you to call a number on a web site just by clicking on it.
Of course, such activities do require some sort of speaker and microphone arrangement on your PC and in most cases, it's far easier to make use of one of the huge range of headphone and microphone combinations out there.
Jabra have a range of products in this area but here I'm looking at their GN5035 model which is well priced at around £25 or less and boasts a noise cancelling microphone, 40mm speaker units for extended bass and a remote control on its USB cable...

Suzuki Gn125
Advantages: fuel economy, price
Disadvantages: corrosion, depreciation, acceleration, top speed
...The original intention was to by a Suzuki Van Van. However, I took my CBT on a GN125 and decided that it wouldn't be a bad first bike to learn on. It's also significantly cheaper than a Van Van and top speed is higher.
Bought the bike new back in April 2006 for £1400. The bike was a grey import - Suzuki no longer officially supply this bike to the UK market. As a result the speedometer is in km/h which is a little annoying. That's the only difference that I am aware of from a standard UK bike. I used the bike daily until recently to ride too and from the station.
The bike rides quite well bearing in mind its size. Acceleration is obviously poor compared to a bigger bike but not as bad as you might think. It could certainly outrun the average car from standstill. It really starts to struggle once you get up to 50mph...

GN Netcom Headset: Worth the money?
Advantages: Great look and feel to the headset, remarkable sound quality
Disadvantages: Rather pricey and poor battery life
...THis GN Netcom headset, is a beautiful piece of machinery. It has a stuning design and prefectly easy to use. I simply opened the box andhardlyhad to use the instruction manual. I connceted it up and i was off!
the sound quality is phenomenal, far better than any headsets that phone companies supply you with... i could my the person crystal clear, and i felt that he was right there with me.
the only downside, is that the battery life, i felt was rather lacking. Not long after i had bought the product, i felt i had to keep on charging it every 10 or so hours, which i felt was rather ridiculous. however, i put up with it becuase i liked the design and how easy it was to use.
Furthermore, the dual connection the comes with this headset is remarkable and the technology that goes into this headset is so robust!
One major downside to...

GN'R Lies - Guns N' Roses, reserved seat amongst the rock Gods
Advantages: Excellent original songs, includes 'Patience'
Disadvantages: More or less a stop-gap from the record company
...GN'R Lies was the short LP released by Geffen records after the debut 'Appetite For Destruction', used as a stop gap between records. It features several live covers such as Aerosmith's 'Mama Kin', delivered in that high-pitched snarl of Axl Rose.
Despite the lack of original material, there are several highlights, which all happen to be new songs - 'Patience', 'Used To Love Her' and 'One In A Million'. It is at this point Guns N' Roses were reserved a places in the pantheon of rock gods, as these songs are by far the highlight of an otherwise classic-rock cover album.
'Patience' is a heart-wrenching ballad, co-written by Axl Rose and Izzy Stradlin. It is of an acoustic arrangment, which gives Guns N' Roses a softer dimension that had never really been explored before.
'Used To Love Her' is perhaps the only Guns N' Roses song to...

Advantages: Great little laptop with lots of useful features
Disadvantages: The disk drive stopped working, but still in warenty
...The laptop that I am reviewing is very slightly different to the one featured, as it is the packard bell easynote GN45-032, although the only real difference is that my laptop has a 160GB memory compared to the GN45-P-050 which has 80GB, mine did not come with vista loaded, but have since loaded it and my laptop is a skype edition which basically means that it has a button next to the camera which takes you straight to skype, which is a programme which allows the user to make free video internet phone calls to anyone anywhere in the world.

Ground Control To Major Tom ...
Advantages: hands free working, clear voices, very good sound quality
Disadvantages: headset hurting after wearing it a few hours, 'tied' to the desk
...them..
After about two weeks I had the elusive headset back on my desk. The manager offered to purchase a wireless headset for me but I decided to stick with what I had ? after all, the set was paid for, any new purchase would have to be paid for again, and in this economic climate, I don?t want to spend more money than necessary.
What?s in the box?
The headphone set I was given was the GN Netcom 2200 Mono. When I opened the box it was pretty much unused. What I found was the following:
1x headset
1x instruction booklet in a number of languages
1x storage bag
1x replacement spongy thing for earpiece
The headset itself comes with a microphone part that can be swivelled to adjust to left and right hand (ear) use. The microphone, on a stalk, can be adjusted up or down to sit in the correct position from your mouth. The earpiece can...

Better Than A Moped
Advantages: Good "commuter"; rideable on a car license
Disadvantages: Doesn't like the cold; top speed 55-60mph
...WHY HAVE I GOT A MOTORBIKE?
I haven't told many people this but I feel quite happy telling the Ciao community for some reason. About five years I had a panic attack on a train: sweat, hyperventilation, sense of claustrophobia - the works. It got stuck in a tunnel for an hour and something in me just couldn't take it. I've never stepped on a train or tube since, but I am willing to work on that for the sake of the kids.
So I looked for alternative methods of getting from Bexleyheath in Kent to London's West End. Bicycle: 28 mile round trip would kill me back in those days; bus: two hours at least. So I investigated the possibility of, and purchased a scooter/moped. 18 months ago I bought a Suzuki GN125 and I've never looked back.
WHO CAN RIDE ONE?
Anyone with a full UK driving license, so over 16's. It's officially a 124...

Me and my tank!!
Advantages: reliable, hard working, low fuel consumption, great commuter
Disadvantages: Classic Suzuki paint work.
...Five and a half years i have been riding now and the first 4 of those years were spent on mopeds until one day i decided that no matter how long i tried to put it off for i was going to have to learn gears if i was to become a 'real biker'! i booked the cbt and away i went. The GN 125 is the bike i took my training on. I was very nervous at first, but once i got on the bike i started to relax a bit. The bike has a very natural riding position wich doesnt put strain on your arms or back. The day went well and as a result i passed!
After a month or two i finally came accross a GN 125 at one of the local bike shops. It was one of a batch of ex training bikes. I wanted it as soon as i saw it its not flash looking but with its naked fairing and single lamp id say its quite retro. I just did a straight swap for the bike i was riding...

Don't Defy WiFi, Reach for the Sky-pe!
Advantages: Easy to use, functional and portable.
Disadvantages: No text messaging function and no charging cradle.
..., but as long as youhave a mobile phone, charged all of the time, it shouldn't deem so much of a problem.
****************************************************************************
THE PRODUCT: Belkin F1PP000GN Skype WIFI Phone.
The Belkin Skype Wi-Fi phone looks pretty much like a normal cordless or mobile phone, and is distinctly similar in features to the Sony Ericcson K800i. The keypad is a standard numeric keypad, additionally with call and hang up buttons just underneath the screen. Centrally the phone features a joystick for quick navigation through your Skype Contacts.
The phone itself is a black, reinforced style plastic (as is the K800i) with a rubberised back for easier grip., and removable battery cover.
At the base of the phone there is a USB charging point (the phone can also be mains charged and comes...
