GN Netcom Headset: Worth the money?

Advantages: Great look and feel to the headset, remarkable sound quality
Disadvantages: Rather pricey and poor battery life

...THis GN Netcom headset, is a beautiful piece of machinery. It has a stuning design and prefectly easy to use. I simply opened the box andhardlyhad to use the instruction manual. I connceted it up and i was off! the sound quality is phenomenal, far better than any headsets that phone companies supply you with... i could my the person crystal clear, and i felt that he was right there with me. the only downside, is that the battery life, i felt was rather lacking. Not long after i had bought the product, i felt i had to keep on charging it every 10 or so hours, which i felt was rather ridiculous. however, i put up with it becuase i liked the design and how easy it was to use. Disadvantages: Remote too far down the cable

...with proper HiFi headphones, I was surprised just how pleasant these could sound across a range of musical types and certainly far better than they had any right to be at the price. Conclusion If you want a good multimedia headset for chatting online or even just for game playing without upsetting the rest of the family, we think you'll be happy with the Jabra GN5035 multimedia headset. Great Headset

Advantages: Clear sound

...with my Logitech headset. The earpieces got detached many times from the headset but the tiny cables are surprisingly strong. I just clip the slightly-detached earpieces to the body of the headset and they function again just the same. The earpieces are fitted with soft foam for the desired comfort in using the headset. The foam coverings of my earpieces were actually torn by my toddler but the loss of foam fittings does not affect the sound quality of the headset. Suzuki Gn125

Advantages: fuel economy, price
Disadvantages: corrosion, depreciation, acceleration, top speed

...The original intention was to by a Suzuki Van Van. However, I took my CBT on a GN125 and decided that it wouldn't be a bad first bike to learn on. It's also significantly cheaper than a Van Van and top speed is higher. Bought the bike new back in April 2006 for £1400. The bike was a grey import - Suzuki no longer officially supply this bike to the UK market. As a result the speedometer is in km/h which is a little annoying. That's the only difference that I am aware of from a standard UK bike. I used the bike daily until recently to ride too and from the station. The bike rides quite well bearing in mind its size. Acceleration is obviously poor compared to a bigger bike but not as bad as you might think. It could certainly outrun the average car from standstill. It really starts to struggle once you get up to 50mph...

...This headset is a bit expensive for its quality. Although i bought mine outside the country for a considerable lesser price, had i known better, i would have bought a wireless one. It is still functional after two years. I lost both of the voice tube microphone cover though and i think that is whats causing too much echo when i talk and too much mic sensitivity. That also causes alot of feed back so i have to press on mute all the time, and everytime i am done speaking, to avoid the feedbacks. On the upside it supports all Plantronics amplifiers and USB-to-headset adapters so i guess i just have to get one. It is also comfortable to wear for long hours. I would not recommend to get leatherette ear cushions, that made my ears sweat and itchy eeks....

The headset isnt particularly good at picking up quiet speech though, which is often a let down during games that require alot of detailed communication for tactics such as Gears Of War 2 or Call Of Duty WAW. The headset is priced at £34.99 RRP, which i think is quite reasonable for what you're getting. The headset comes with full instructions and a charge cable that plugs into the 360's USB point. It cannot be used in a play-and-charge situation which gets annoying so you have to leave it overnight to charge. It is mcuh less cumbersom that the various wired headsets on the market and has a good range using the 360's infra red technology system.
