Adele 19

Advantages: Different styles, some sad, others you feel sorry for the woman sufferung
Disadvantages: Maybe not to everyone taste

...When I first got this album, after the strengths of Chasing Pavements, I decided to purchase this album. I like Amy Winehouse, but not looking good for her. Adele is different in the way she sings, you wouldn't think she was only 19. Her voice sounds Soulful/Jazz going to acoustic and pop. The lyrics are very poignant, in the way that it's way it's sung. Adele wrote every track and the music Here is my rundown 1 Daydreamer - This sounds like it's based on a boy who is another relationship, or he cheated on someone. 2 - Best For Last - This sounds like the woman is wanting the man to provide and to treat her right. It feels the woman is getting fed up with the man who seems he isnt bothered about love 3 - Chasing Pavements, This is based on a fight that happened, but to me it's like you don't know where to turn in life. It...

GN'R Lies - Guns N' Roses, reserved seat amongst the rock Gods

Advantages: Excellent original songs, includes 'Patience'
Disadvantages: More or less a stop-gap from the record company

...GN'R Lies was the short LP released by Geffen records after the debut 'Appetite For Destruction', used as a stop gap between records. It features several live covers such as Aerosmith's 'Mama Kin', delivered in that high-pitched snarl of Axl Rose. Despite the lack of original material, there are several highlights, which all happen to be new songs - 'Patience', 'Used To Love Her' and 'One In A Million'. It is at this point Guns N' Roses were reserved a places in the pantheon of rock gods, as these songs are by far the highlight of an otherwise classic-rock cover album. 'Patience' is a heart-wrenching ballad, co-written by Axl Rose and Izzy Stradlin. It is of an acoustic arrangment, which gives Guns N' Roses a softer dimension that had never really been explored before. 'Used To Love Her' is perhaps the only Guns N' Roses song to...

Can you count to 19?

Advantages: Rolls along after a slow start, big scope and scale
Disadvantages: The slow start and the fact that I did not really like the characters enough to care about them

...The 19th Wife What is this story about? This novel tells several stories simultaneously, switching between three narrators: A contemporary narrator called Jordan is dealing with the fact that his father has been shot dead and his mother, the main suspect, is in jail. His mother is the 19th wife of the narrator?s polygamous father, who lives in the Utah desert in a religious sect (the sect is a break-away from the Mormons) The second voice is from the 1870?s memoirs of Ann Eliza Young the 19th wife of Brigham Young, Prophet of The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints (the Saints or commonly known as the Mormons). The third voice is a contemporary voice of a Mormon academic who is writing a paper on Ann Eliza (the academic turns out to be a descendant of Ann Eliza, the 19th wife). 300 pages into this 600 page...

A little brother TFT to our 19 inch monsters

Advantages: Great picture, good colour depth, good features
Disadvantages: No sound

...to keep this screen right where you want it. It does not suffer like some of the more flimsy alternatives. With the size and weight of such a large TFT screen, you do need something strong to keep it in place. Extras. Well you do get a driver disk and manual on CD with the included 1 year warranty but to be honest, the disk has never been used. Most modern PCs are capable ar having drivers built in for such a screen and causes no problems when attaching computers for the first time. You do get a standard VGA to VGA cable included and the power cord. There is no DVI connection on this monitor or S Video. Its VGA only. Drawbacks. Only one i can see with it is that it does not come with Speakers. Obviously its more to go wrong and not such an issue for home users as most people have separate desktop speakers at home but in the office its...

MONITOR MADE EASY

Advantages: Easy to set-up, TV Tuner, Great value
Disadvantages: No Off Switch.

...I'm not sure how helpful this review will be as I am not an electronics expert but I will give it a go. My husband and I were searching for a new Monitor as we have just re-decorated and wanted a new set-up for our PC. We first browsed the Web for Monitor retailers and looked at the usual sites. PC World, Curry's, Maplin, that sort of thing. We didn't have a specific model in mind, just that it had to be a flatscreen monitor. We decided to look around the shops to see what they would look like on, which gives you a much better idea of how they will look once set up. PC World seemed to have the biggest variety so we started there. We saw the AOC M19W TFT Monitor in a box first of all, and so couldn't get a good view of it, but after looking around they had a similar model in a 17" format which looked almost identical...

Are You Smart Enough?

Advantages: great price, great product
Disadvantages: none

...I'm so pleased that this one came through from my product suggestion list as I can't wait to share this wonderful monitor with you all. I have to thank my mum and dad for being so generous this Christmas as when they asked what I wanted or needed I jokingly replied "A new monitor would be nice." You see I had an old 19" CRT beast of a thing which was starting to show signs that it may blow up due to overuse. I had no idea that they would take me seriously and was overwhelmed when they asked me to have a look online for one I might like. I've never been one for getting the top branded products if I can find one that will do as good a job so when I saw this beauty on Amazon I jumped at the chance to own it especially as I wasn't actually the one paying for it. ***Background*** Yusmart are a Dutch company and although they...

Dell 1907FP 19 inch TFT monitor

Advantages: Crisp image, USB ports
Disadvantages: none

...--Background-- I use this 19 inch monitor in my role of Project Manager. It is the first TFT I have been bought by the company as previously, all staff used the bulkier CRT models. First impressions are that the amount of desk space you save is vast and the image quality is very impressive. You have the choice of either using the VGA interface or the newer DVI interface, whichever you choose you are guaranteed a crisp image. --Installation-- This monitor is extremely simple to set up even a computer novice would have no problems with it. All that needs doing is connecting the appropriate VGA / DVI cable from the back of the PC to the monitor and then connecting the power cable to the mains. The next time the PC is switched on, Windows (assuming you are using that operating system) will detetect the new monitor and attempt...

£185, yet I'm not 100% satisfied...

Advantages: Big size, Space saving
Disadvantages: "Signal Out of Range" until WinXP driver loads if TV-Out is plugged in, Dead Pixel, No DVI

...The Di-Fusion 19" TFT monitor is a screen for the computer, just like the one you're staring at now. If you still have a CRT (TV sized monitors), then the one I'm reviewing is a flat version of that. CRT's are outdated and flat screens are fast becoming the standard. The Di-Fusion has a silver frame with black everywhere else. The screen is easy to set up and involves connecting the screen to the 'foot' so it can stand, connecting the VGA cable from the PC's graphics card to the monitor, power and sound cable to your PC (optional). I think the silver plastic looks a bit cheap but only if I look closely. Like most TFT monitors, you can physically adjust the angle of the screen by tilting it. This one is no different and it is easily done. The viewing angle is about average. Looking at screen at an angle from the monitor does make...
