Advantages: Crazy mayhem with gremlin type goblins
Disadvantages: not the best game ever but it's fun

...Ok, perhaps I shouldn't, but I really like this game. The game, Overlord is reasonably addictive, but what makes this game special is the Goblins. For anybody that has seen any of the Gremlins movies, the Goblins in this game are much like those. Cheeky, pesky, critters that cuase mad mayhem and often have you chuckling away at the quips and line they come out with. In your home base, an evil tower, you even have your own Goblin jester that really sucks up to you, and you can beat him just for your own amusement. Basically before your creation there was another overlord, but he was conquered and the tower detroyed. Now you take his place and you have to retrieve many essential items to re-build your tower. To do this you have to control four types of Goblins, i.e Brown ones are fighter, red ones have ranged attack and are impervious... Read review

Advantages: Command and Conquer with Goblins
Disadvantages: Gets VERY difficult the more you progress!

...&C, you must collect gold and souls (from wells or killing enemies) to build and upgrade your goblins to stronger ones. Each goblin tribe has different men, ranging from archers, healers, melee and heavy archers heavy melee. Each tribe also has its own form of defence turret which you can place near one of your buildings. to attack oncoming assailants. Also at your disposal are a special 'heavy artillery unit' which range from trolls to blobs, although you can only have one at any given time. There are also observatories which you can capture and then purchase moonstones from , which can be used on the battlefield to inflict damage upon your enemy, heal your party, do fire damage, ice damage, lightning damage. Advantages: The large battles are pleasurable to the eyes.
Disadvantages: Shallow storyline and gameplay.

...Its such a shame with the 360 at the moment, having many games that promise to be great and then falling short. I purchased ninety nine nights in the hope that it would be as I saw it dynasty warriors (of which im a long time fan) on speed. Story: A crystal of power was broken into two halves, a dark one and a light one. Humans have the light half and goblins the dark. Theres a demon involved somewhere (the king of ninety nine nights) but to be honest they spent so little time delving into the story you really dont care very much for any of it. It basically equates into the goblins are evil and your going to spend hours beating the living daylights out of them. The fact that they didnt further explore the story as I expected, going into depth the differences in the legends between the goblins and humans etc dissapointed me more than... Read review

...Idea of this game is not so bad - rule the empire from your castle, give orders to your minions and enjoy watching enemies being defeated. But, that is very far from reality. This is a real time strategy in fantasy setting, with one special attribute: you can't click on unit, than click on enemy and watch your mighty champion smite poor creature. In this game, noble heroes are not inspired by fame, their main goal are golden coins. It goes like this: You begin campaign, start mission with castle and maybe few more objects. So you build fighter's guild and regrut your first hero. Then you build few other building, maybe marketplace, or tavern, or maybe armory, and begin enjoying in peace and harmony. Disadvantages: not enough happening with all of the characters. needs more depth

...fills in telling us that there is now a new species of super spider. Peter returns home but feels ill so he goes up to his room to sleep it off. The next morning he fells totally different, he goes to put on his glasses but it is all blurry, he now has a new muscular body and perfect vision. he jumps down the stairs and skips breakfast. Whilst in the process of missing the school bus again he bangs his hand on the side where there is a banner and it sticks to his hand. When he is eating lunch at school his spider sense kicks in and saves mary jane from falling over and dropping her lunch!! But not all is good because when he iseating lunch he webs his tray accidently and hits a big tough mean kid. In the corridor a fight is about to break loose and this is when he jumps really high flips about dodges every punch and sends his attacker... Read review

...hero and the beautiful MJ - from a purely aesthetic point of view, I particularly enjoyed the scenes when Spiderman saved her from a gang of thugs in the pouring rain - Oh Yes!. Best line of the film - Peter is standing vigil beside the hospital bed of his aunt, who the Green Goblin has just tried to kill, he is trying to tell her his troubles without spilling the beans that he is Spiderman, she replies "Well you're not Superman you know!" Best scene - Spiderman hanging from a bridge with MJ in one arm and a stricken cable car full of kids in the other while the Green Goblin tries to take him out - you never question the result. Worst scene - where the Green Goblin is taking his revenge against the people who have tried to oust him from his company - well done, but I found it disturbing when it isn't even a year since the WTC attack... ...following an attack by the Green Goblin. And while I am there, that was a bit silly too, I know the producers had to be true to the comic book names, but "Green Goblin"!!? It was hard to take seriously, so we laughed. I don't really want to give away the plot to spoil it for anyone about to see it, but there is a little romantic twist at the end which I found refreshing, and it finished with an insight into the sequel. Defoe -------Breathtaking Maguire---------Excellent Dunst-----------Good The one thing that I pointed out in disadvantages was that it was a 12 classification, the reason escapes me! If "lord of the Rings" could be a PG, then so could this. Resposible parents know how to explain fiction to their children. BBFC ------- Give us some credit!... Read review

Advantages: A great adaptation of Stan Lee's finest comic character
Disadvantages: Slightly cheesy "we love USA" sentiment added after Sept 11

...genetically modified to have the attributes of three different spider species. The next day, Peter has all of these powers, and becomes Spider-Man. The basic plot of how Peter becomes Spidey sticks quite closely to the comics, and apart from a couple of relatively minor points (in the comics it was a radioactive spider, and his web-shooters were chemically produced, rather than naturally in the film) stays fairly rigidly to the comic story. Of course, every hero needs a bad guy, and here we have the Green Goblin, the alter-ego of scientist Norman Osborn, who is the father of Peter’s only friend, Harry (following this? I’ll be asking questions later). Of course, matters are further complicated by the fact that harry is dating MJ, while Norman is going slowly bananas and is desperately trying to kill Spidey.
