Ready? Not Steady, GoGear

...Since my Creative FX200 died (never buying another Creative product again after my disappointment too with a 7-speaker set), I had been after an MP3 player which would make use of the rechargeable (AAA) batteries. The Philips GoGear SA2620 is a no-frills and no-radio MP3 player, and comes with a USB Cable stickered, "IMPORTANT - Install software first", but I doubt whether it's necessary to do so - surely you can just drag and drop without installation. The cap protecting the USB plug felt too loose a fit and comes off easy leaving this end exposed. The interface is quick and easy (I never needed to refer to the manual), however, following a battery change, the SA2620 is sometimes shown to be 'Updating' which can take a while. (It can't be a Windows update via Satellite can it?) 2GB memory is more than sufficient for me, but 16MB...

...Snazzy little device, very lightweight and does'nt take up much space wherever you put it, as it has a clip on the back you can attatch it to almost anything, so you wont have to worry about it taking up space in your pocket, the clip also comes in handy for people who like listening to music while jogging, cycling etc. as you wont have to worry about it falling out your pocket. This particular one is made by Kingston and is called Data Traveler. So far 2GB has proved more than ample in terms of its capacity, however I am sure it will only be a matter of time before the applications become more memory intensive and making it necessary for a larger capacity. ...Hi today I will be reviewing a Kingston DataTravler 2GB USB Flash Drive. I bought this a few months ago after losing my other flash drive. It cost me 9.97 from PC World but I believe you can get them cheaper in other places. Speed For the data that I transfer to it i.e. pictures and some small visual basic programs it transfers them extremely quick compared to some cheap flash drives I have used in the past. Problems So far I have had no major problems other than in windows vista it is not capable of running ReadyBoost which a free flash drive I had a while ago could. Size The overall size of the flash drive is quiet good the USB connector slides in and out with a rather flimsy press and slide switch.
