You Gotta Go There To Come Back
Advantages: Better than J.E.E.P
Disadvantages: Not as good as their first or second albums
...Well, they're back with their fourth album- 'You gotta go there to come back'. This album sees Stereophonics take on a different approach from their 3 previous albums. The new tracks are a lot more soulful and bluesy compared with what the 'phonics have produced before. Despite this change in style, there are still overtones from their previous albums.
Just in case you're wondering, the Stereophonics are; Kelly Jones (guitars and vocals), Richard Jones(bass) and Stuart Cable(drums). Their previous albums were; 'Word gets around', 'Performance and cocktails' and 'Just enough education to perform'(J.E.E.P). 'You gotta go there to come back' comes as either the standard edition or special edition. There is not much difference except for a cardboard sleeve and the higher price of the special edition (not even extra tracks!). Here is my...

don't go back to Normandy
Advantages: none
Disadvantages: slow, disjointed, boring
... Back to Normandy
film
When this review disk came in the post I thought it was going to be about World War II, revisiting some of the beaches with people that actually fought there all those years ago; combined with a good few then and now pictures to pull us into the documentary. However whilst it is a documentary about revisiting a place, it certainly has nothing to do with World War 2.
Nicolas Philibert is a French director, however back in 1976 Philibert was an assistant director working on Rene Allio?s film I, Pierre Riviere? That film was about a murderer called (Strangely enough) Pierre Riviere and he murdered three members of his family back in 1835. Allio?s film cast local farmers as some of the main characters in the film; Philibert?s documentary however was to track down these farmers 30 years later to see what...

Back Where They Belong
Advantages: Superb lyrics and vocals
Disadvantages: None for me
...the beautiful opening the track seems to go downhill for 20 seconds or so until it is perfectly picked up and ends quite nicely.
7/10
***TRACK 7 ? IT?S YOU***
This song sees a return to the soft ballads that Westlife are better known for. The backing track is rather soft and subtle and the vocals like usual are powerful and really allow the emotion of the fabulous lyrics to come through.
8/10
***TRACK 8 ? CATCH MY BREATH***
The opening to this song is really catchy and although the guitar riff is simple and repetitive it is really effective for the overall feel of the song. The lyrics are also quite pleasing to listen to and sound a lot like some of Westlife?s older songs. The alternating lead vocals also suit the style of the song and all are solid and emotive when necessary.
9/10
***TRACK 9 ? THE EASY WAY***
This song is again...

Its time to go back
Advantages: Classic film. Funny and feel good
Disadvantages: The third films pretty poor
...Back to the Future is over 15 years old now. I remember it was the first film I saw in the "Point" Cinema at Milton Keynes (the first mulitplex in the U.K. for useless information fans).
I hadn't seen it for years and spent ages tracking it down for a reasonable price. Of course now, it's available in Virgin with the two sequels on a five for £20.00.
Anyway, the film stars Michael J Fox as Marty McFly. He's a slacker at school, he wants to play guitar in a band but he's not up to much and his families a bit of a mess. His Dad's still being bullied, his Mum' let herself go and his two brothers are not up to much. Too make matters worse, the cars been trashed so he can't spend the week-end at the lake with his girlfriend.
One morning, he goes to visit his friend, Dtr Brown (Christopher Lloyd), a scientist leading on the crazy...

Once You Go Mac, You Never Go Back!
Advantages: Fast, Brilliant Design, Brilliant Software, Brilliant!
Disadvantages: Pricey
...of the computer. You have the power, Ethernet, Firewiere, 2x USB and a headphones slot. A good selection and are nicely built in the side and not the back so you can easily add or take away leads and wires. On the other side is a really cool built in CD/DVD player. Unlike ordinary computers, you just slide the disc into it, nothing flicks out its all internal. It's really weird to first use as you kind of think you CD is going to be eaten by the computer, but you just click eject on the keyboard and it comes straight back out from inside the computer.
Overall design is actually quite unique compared to other laptops on the market. it is all about space saving and simplicity which they have excelled in design wise. 5+ stars for design, not a single flaw.
Extras

Back Home
Advantages: Westlife, great songs and voices
Disadvantages: A few week links and very ballard orientated
...going to start as another one but for this life of me I cannot think of the songs title, if any one listens to it and knows then please let me know! Not much to say really about this song, I would have to say that to me this seems like just another Westlife Ballard, sorry!
8 - Catch My Breath - A great upbeat song with a very catchy tune and great words, nothing really makes this song stand out though.
9 - The Easy Way - A great lively song from the boys, about the most livly one on the whole album. I like this as it does show a slightly different side to teh group from all the ballards. There is also a very catchy chorus which you will soon pick up and try to join in with!
10 - I Do - Back to the ballards! This is another typical Westlife ballard but nothin bad to say about it, there are some lovely words and a lovely soft melody...

Back Again
Advantages: NIce future scenes
Disadvantages: Not as good as the first, a bit confusing
...Back again!
As much as I loved Back to the Future as a Trilogy, the first movie for me is still the best, never to be topped and of all three, the second one is probably the one I liked the least.
Marty and Doc went back to 1955, then came Back to the Future in1985 having solved the problem with his parents and now they have to go Back to the Future again, this time to 2015, confused, yes so was I!!!
I think the main reason why I don?t like this film as much as the first one is that it?s quite confusing. There are quite a few times when present day Marty runs into future Marty and present day Doc runs into future Doc so it does get quite hard to tell which is which and you really have to keep on reminding yourself who is who and what they are doing.
That said thought, the premise of the story is quite good and it definitely...

BACK TO BEDLAM.
Advantages: A fine album with great lyrical content.
Disadvantages: All ballads.
...--BACK TO BEDLAM--
James Blunt came onto the scene in 2005 with the release of this first album, the highly impressive 'Back To Bedlam'. Ex Army Captain, and guard at Buckingham Palace, Blunt totally changed his direction in life, to pour out his heart to music with the release of his hugely romantic and heartfelt debut album.
I first heard the track 'You're Beautiful' playing on the radio and I wondered who the singer was, as I really liked the track. I then bought the album on the strength of it. I think a lot of people did the same. 'You're beautiful' really is an absolutely stunning song and I needed to own a copy of the album so I could play this track whenever I liked, and probably on repeat. -
James Blunts first single release was 'High' in Oct 2004, which reached 148 in the charts, though I don't remember hearing...

Go! Tropicana Go!
Advantages: Natural, very tasty, choice of flavours, 1 of the 5-a-day for kids
Disadvantages: None
...In this weather, Harry is drinking like a fish, and even though I take out a big cup of juice for him, it's usually gone by the time we get to town! So I've started to look at little drinks that I can pop in my bag for him when we run out. I did use Fruit Shoots for a while but he was getting hyper from them, and to be honest, they weren't all that nice and tasted so artificial! So when I popped to the supermarktet yesterday and saw these new Tropicana Go! drinks on buy-one-get-one-free offer, I thought they'd be worth a try for Harry!
Tropicana Go! are a new drink for children, but the difference with these compared to similar drinks on the market is the fact that these contain 70% fruit juice and 30% water, and thats it! There's no colourings, additives, sweetners or added sugar at all, and that appealed to me straight away...

IN MY BACK YARD SNOW STARTS PLAY
Advantages: Neighbours & Strangers Talk. A Day Off Work. Fun In The Snow.
Disadvantages: I hate snow! I Pay For Lunch. No Busses Running.
...life can continue as normal.
I do have to add the caveat here, that the area of Poland from which Adrianna comes is very flat compared to the extremely hilly topography of Brighton and its environs. Secondarily, an accumulation of between six and eight inches of snow, particularly falling on a Sunday night, is going to disrupt the transport infrastructure wherever it should occur.
However, as usual, I digress. It is the start of the week that we are interested in here and RICHADA exploring, very unusually, at a walking pace, his lifetime "back yard". In an extraordinary morning, my wife and I actually walked past all three homes in which I have lived here in Brighton over the past forty-six years, those three homes being in totally different areas of the town.
Thus, in the course of four hours we quite literally paced out...
