Going Underground with Tony...
Advantages: A great advancement on an already great game!
Disadvantages: None so far
...*What is it?*
Tony Hawk's Underground (THU) is a Neversoft created, skate boarding game that allows the player to be a particular skate boarder (such as Rodney Mullen or Jamie Thomas or more notably, Tony Hawk) and complete the various levels set out using skill, technique and advice given on screen.
*Why did you buy it?*
I have a long summer of nothingness ahead of me - ahh the life of a prospective uni student! - and so this looked like a good choice. I already have Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3, so I thought it would be nice to try a later version.
*How much was it?*
I purchased it 'preowned' from Game - 3 for £20 - it was £9.97 by itself. I know that you can buy it first hand from game, or another kind of games shop for around £30. Personally, I'd stick to the preowned. They're just as good as getting them brand new...

Going Underground
Advantages: An insight into medieval city life
Disadvantages: tour too short
...to believe that the 1968 vision was to cement in the medieval caves to build this modern shopping centre above. Thankfully, historical societies intervened and as such residents and visitors to Nottingham can still go underground and experience Nottingham from centuries ago - in this part of town at any rate.
The attraction of the City of Caves has been affiliated with the Galleries of Justice, and until recently it was possible to buy joint tickets. Recently that is no longer the case and a ticket to the City of caves attraction will set you back around £5.50 for an adult ticket with concessions costing £4.25 and family tickets also available.
We arrived just a couple of minutes before the tour was due to depart, on a Sunday afternoon. Closing time is 430pm with the final tour departing 30 minutes before that. Personally I do not...

I Need To Go Underground 2!!!
Advantages: Very good graphics and some nice cars and mods.
Disadvantages: Music/sound not great, only 30 cars and only room for 5 cras in garage.
...Game Info
Genre = Street Racing
Developer = E.A Games
Publisher = Electronic Arts
Players = 1-2 players
Online = Yes, Up To 6 Players
Age = 3+
Released = November 2004
---------------------------------------------------------------
Story: It continues from from the first underground where being the champion, you get a call to play with the big boys over in Bayview. But gets sent to hospital after a rival takes you out and finishes you car off, 6 mouths later you get there but must start over again with some help of a friend.
GRAPHICS:The graphics are pretty stunning, there's a lot of shinny reflections of street lights of the cars and on wet road. When high up on the hills, looking down over the city does look totally amazing which lets you see very far with its draw distance. The cars you drive are details nicely but...

London Underground
Advantages: Convenient method of transport, frequent trains, Easy to get around
Disadvantages: Signal Failures, Broken Trains and Heat!
...and is only 1.5 miles long.
○ Fact: The Waterloo and City Line carries in excess of 9 million people each year.
The trains on the Waterloo and City Line are the same as those on the Central Line and are generally very modern and up to date. The line is also very clean.
Ok, so there we go, a little more information on each of the lines in turn!
♣ Ticketing ♣
------------------
Buying a ticket for your journey on the Underground is very easy. You can purchase tickets at any of the automatic ticket machines at stations, or from the assistance windows.
Recently LUL introduced a new type of ticketing system, the oyster card.
This has revolutionised the way people travel. The oyster card is a plastic card with an electronic chip inside that you can load with any amount of money up to £50 at a time...

Sound of the Underground
Advantages: The track Jump
Disadvantages: Won't stand the test of time
...One of their members, Cheryl Cole is making quite a successful name for herself on the solo market at the moment but it all began for her way back in 2002 with 4 other girls, called Girls Aloud.
Love them or hate them, they have been around for quite a while now. Girls Aloud are a band, created on the television series Popstars: The Rivals. They consist of Cheryl Cole, Nadine Coyle, Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh. Since their beginning they have achieved 20 consecutive UK Top 10 singles and two UK number one albums. According to an article I read, Guinness World Records lists them as "Most Successful Reality TV Group" in the 2007 edition. They also hold the record for "Most Consecutive Top Ten Entries in the UK by a Female Group" in the 2008 edition.
Their first single was entitled Sound of the Underground...

Going Underground
Advantages: The fascination of seeing your Tube station or journey mentioned
Disadvantages: Tries to appeal to a wider audience, and fails
...If you are or have ever lived or worked in London, or have ever visited, there?s a fair chance you?ve been on the Tube. Chances are you?ve only ever used it to get from one place to another and not looked at all the places you could go to. This is especially true if you?re using the tube at rush hour, where your main concern is to get to your destination and get your face out of the armpit of the person standing next to you. Who cares where you can go when getting to where you need to be is so smelly and distasteful?
Andy?s done something a bit stupid. He?s taken on a bet that even Tony Hawks would have derided as being too absurd. He?s bet that he can visit every station on the London Underground in a single day. Having been talked into the bet whilst drunk, at stake are his credit cards, his passport and his honeymoon tickets...

Going Underground
Advantages: Quite adventurous, good fun, interesting
Disadvantages: Not enough open yet
...Mines up there. We were obviously determined to go underground today!
There is a lot more to The Great Orme than just the Copper Mines and I am currently trying to convince Ciao to put a separate category up for the Great Orme in general as it is a really interesting place.
Anyway, I?ll get back to the opinion. The Great Orme is the headland that separates the two beaches of Llandudno, The North Shore and The West Shore (where we live).
The Bronze Age Mines are about half way up and can be reached by road (there?s a decent sized car park), by means of The Great Orme Tramway (the mines are right by the halfway stop) or by good old-fashioned Shanks? Pony ? that?s walking for the uninitiated amongst you!
When you get there, the first building you enter is the visitor centre, which contains a shop selling crystals, fool?s gold...

The London Underground
Advantages: Gets you from A to B quite quickly
Disadvantages: The cost, being underground
...arrive at the required line you will find you have to choose which way you need to go. The options will be either Northbound or Southbound, or Eastbound or Westbound. This corresponds with the map. If your station is on the left of your map then you will need to choose West, it is quite simple.
SIGNAGE
The thing I like about the Underground is the way everything is signed. You can easily find which escalator you need to go down/up, which direction you need to be travelling (north,south,east or west), where the exits are, ticket machines etc. There has been lots in the news about London Underground staff but on the whole I have always found them pleasant and helpful. I have travelled on the underground with large suitcases on numerous occasions and have always been given help if needed.
RELIABILITY
Before having to undertake my work...

London Underground...
Advantages: Gets you where you need to go, trains fairly frequent
Disadvantages: Price, people, etc!
...Well, after buying your ticket, you go down some stairs or an esculator (or even a lift!) to the platform, that looks exactly like an overground platform but underground (usually, alot of the stations are overground, especiialy on the piccadily line). There are also ticket barriers to go through where you have to put your ticket in the machine to get through, and posters of either advertising, or maps to help you plan your journey. People seem to worry about using the underground (i suppose we all are alot more after the bombs, but also for other reasons too) but its not as claustrophobic as i expected when i first started using them. It is well lit etc, but still, i have friends who wont use the tubes! Anyway, the train comes (fairly regulary unless there are delays which you will be warned about) about once every 3 minutes on a good day...

33 YEAR EXPERIENCE ON THE LONDON UNDERGROUND
Advantages: It gets you from A--------Z
Disadvantages: People
...What would we do without the London Underground? Yes, we all complain about how bad it is, but just stop and think ? Is it really as bad as it appears?
This review is not about prices or a history of stations or where they are or where they are going to. There is enough information for would be travelers to London from underground stations and the staff are generally very helpful. Yes they are!
If you are traveling somewhere you can also telephone 0207 222 1234 ? Just say where you are and where you want to go and the operator will be very helpful and will give you the direct route via tube and/or bus.
There are generally free tube maps at the stations and maps of local areas. There are signs on the station to say the destination of the trains and in some cases how many minutes they will be. There will be a map on the station...
