...Chelsfield Lakes Golf Club 'A good walk spoiled' is how one man once described golf but he was obviously a fool as there are few better ways to pass the time than by playing this most majestic of sports. In my part of the world we are spoilt for choice when it comes to courses and there are ones to suit all standards and pockets. Chelsfield Lakes is a pleasant pay and play course that will satisfy most golfers from beginners to good players. Very low handicappers may not find it enough of a challenge but for us mere mortals it has more than enough to keep us interested without ruining our confidence. The lakes of the title is bit misleading as there are only two on the course. Great golf clubs at a great price!

Advantages: decent clubs, very cheap
Disadvantages: the lowest iron is a 5 iron

...happy and couldn't quite believe that they cost just £57.99 and this included the bag too! I went straight to the local driving range and hit about 100 balls using most of the clubs and was delighted with them. I have since played about eight rounds of golf with the clubs and they feel great. The set is designed for novice / intermediate players and the clubs have enlarged heads to guarantee that you should hit the ball with more accuracy, which helps when you are just starting out. The set comprises of a 3 wood driver, a hybrid club which is the equivalent of a 2 or 3 iron, a 5 iron, 6 iron, 7 iron, 8 iron, 9 iron, pitching wedge and sand wedge. Of all the clubs I find the 9 iron and the 6 irons the easiest to use, with the hybrid club the most difficult - probably because it is quite long and this would emphasis floors in you're swing...

Murder at the Golf Club

Advantages: Unusual but good well thought out story

I wanted a good solid club that I could keep for few years and that would improve my game but not so much that was relying on the clubs and not my own technique. I had seen these in my local pro shop and I liked the way they looked as they are oversized and that gives me confidence. Other clubs that I was interested in were the Taylor Made RAC and MacGregor. ...As I began to progress as a golfer I decided that I needed to splash out on a good set of Irons. My pro had told me that a good set of irons can tkae up to 3 strokes of your score. I think that he is wrong and that it is more like 5-6! These clubs are that good. Firstly the NDS stands for the Nike Distance Serires. So reading that you may think that you lose control if you use the set. That is definately not true as progressive offsetting technique throughout the set allows for perfect ball shaping. The wide sole of the club allows for excellent connection with the club and compared to the modern club these are relatively heavily. I found this extremely helpful as it stopped me hitting semi-fatted shots and topping my shots. THe NDS's are also cast from 431 stainless steel which is 25% softer than the average 17.1. This...
