Good things come in small packages

Advantages: Excellent Sound Quality, Loud, Alarm Clock, Charges i-pod
Disadvantages: Lack of ipod control, No PC connection

...- i've not been able to test that. This might come with the newer models of i-pod anyway. The one small complaint i would have about it is the slight lack of control using the remote. While you do have +/- volume, next/prev track, off and play'pause controls, it would have been nice to have some way of navigating through the i-pod menu system. At present, you do have to use the i-pod to change albums etc... The only other thing is that there is no PC connection, which would also be a cool extra feature so you could use it as a docking station also.. Tip to bose: a click wheel on the remote would make this the perfect product......

Review of Nintendo DS Lite

Good Things come in Small packages!

Advantages: An easy watch, great actors, enjoyable
Disadvantages: None unless you don't like choirs and music!

...cleverly done as things weren't revealed until right near the end, and I didn't guess it until right near the reveal! Music in the show was brilliant as well, and was a real breakaway from the sort of music you would expect to see in a choir drama set in a church. Although Michael's choir does indeed sing the classics such as Haydn, but Esther's choir sings Blink 182, The Kinks and The Beach Boys too, so its a real blend of old and new. This is also shown in the members of Esther's choirr which range from teenagers up to the pensioners, and was such a good advert for people getting into choirs once more! Actor Richard Fleeshman does most of the singing as Esther's son Kyle who has an unmentioned problem (most likely autism) and an obssession with Tom DeLonge of Blink 182! His voice is superb and so clear, I could have listened to him sing...

...I already have a Creative Zen Micro MP3 player, (4gb) but I was rather a somewhat leery about taking it to the gym.(pricey!). So I looked around for a model that was cheap and simple to use. After all, I don't want to slip and break a leg whilst trying to adjust a complex player during a treadmill session, now do I? So (as ever) I got a 1GB one on ebay, for just £19. It came boxed with simple instructions and the docking station. It is in a nice silver (other colours are available) and it is a tiny little thing (approx 1.25 x 0.75 x 0.25 inches, I'd guess) It has just one plug hole ( for both earphones and the docking station) and one main circular navigation button (for FWD, REV, VOL+ & VOL-). In the centre of this is a PAUSE/STOp button. The only other buttons are an ON/OFF slide switch and a SHUFFLE/PLAY IN ORDER slide switch...

Is there such a thing as a good thief?

...I was quite intrigued by the title of this book. Was it called 'The Good Thief' because it was about a thief who was very good at stealing or was it about someone who, even though he was a thief, was innately a good person. As I read this book, I felt it was probably a bit of both of these which had led to this very apt title. The thief in question is Ren, a small boy who, when we first meet him, is living in an orphanage in America in the 19th century. The future looks quite bleak because if no one chooses to adopt him he will be sold into the army and, as he only has one hand, this prospect looks quite likely. However, he is rescued by Benjamin Nab who claims to be his brother. Benjamin leads Ren into a rather seedy life where they are forced to steal to make ends meet. Eventually they end up stealing bodies from graves and selling...

The THING !!

Advantages: Very Scary and Bloody

...The THING. Let me start by saying that if Kurt Russell had not been in this movie it probably would have been a so-so film. However he lifts the whole film, in my opinion. The film is based on the novel by John W Campbell Jnr and is a remake of the original black and white movie made in 1951 called The Thing from Another World. An American research team are in the Antarctic when one day there world is turned upside down. Firstly with some crazed Norwegian in a helicopter trying to shoot dead a poor running dog and then later when things start happening around the base. The dog it seems is not a dog and soon some of the scientists are not human at all. It seems there is a malevolent alien parasitic organism that has been discovered and then released by the Norwegians and it can take the form of any living thing...

Can't say enough good things about the Bose SoundDock

...I got this as a very generous housewarming gift after I had been lusting after it for months and I really honestly cannot say enough good things about it. The sound quality off of it is properly amazing, to the point where you can pick up all sorts of subtleties in songs you've been listening to for years that you may have never heard before. It's phenomenal how something so wee can produce such sound, this sits unobtrusively on a side table, and is hardly noticeable, until you turn it on. It's fantastically ease to use, the term plug and play was invented for this thing. I mean that's literally it, you plug it in, stick your iPod in and away it goes. It has a remote control too, which is only credit card size, and has few functions, limited to volume, skip, pause and off, so there's not an array of buttons that it takes a year to...
