...Some time in our lifes we all want some sort of financial advise and i would highly recommend goodman east midlands insurance services to any body seeking advice be it from a mortgage to a pension or even investment policies they cater for just about any ones needs. They are based in Nottingham and i have had impartial advice off this company for the last 15 years and they have saved me small fortune in certain investments. They do not charge for giving advice they make their money by giving advice about a wide range of companies who in return pay commission to them if any policies are taken out. ...I have two DVD Recorders - a Philips and this Goodmans. I have a long-standing 'relationship' with my Philips (LOL). I bought a Philips first. It was rather big from what I can recall. But it developed a fault within a year - it wasn't reading new and blank discs. So I returned it and ordered another Philips but a different model. Again, it developed a fault within a year so, again, I returned it and I ordered a Sony to try but I found it too complicated to use so I returned that too. I ended up re-ordering the last Philips model I tried and -touch wood - it's still going AND it's been over a year now! It has it's slight faults that I can live with... but I'm not reviewing the Philips. I wanted another recordable DVD player for a different room, so I tried the Goodmans... I wish I hadn't! ...OK... so I needed a new TV. I had very little money to spend! Icouldn't afford a fancy LCD or plasma screen. I needed something cheap that would do the job well! I found the Goodmans TV in Currys for £150 and it was a lot cheaper than other brands and it had many of the same features as the budget TVs of the higher end brand names. The picture quality is excellent, as is the sound quality. It was so easy to install and set up. Overall an excellent Tv and I can't actually think of any negatives that it has apart fromevery time you switch it on you have to change the screen size. When you turn it off it goes back to the screen ratio of 4:3 and doesn't remember your preferred size.... Read review

Advantages: The Original London Revival in all its glory
Disadvantages: Confusing if you haven't seen the show

...by the wonderful Henry Goodman as Billy Flynn and Meg Johnson as Mama Morton, both of whom revel in their parts. Now that I have seen the show I do appreciate this CD much much more as it clarified a few confusing moments - it is sometimes difficult to hear who is saying what in the ensemble singing and to see it really does make a difference. I would recommend this CD to any folks who like the movie, as it is far and away better than that. The CD is available from most retailers, at a variety of prices. ...This is without doubt the most annoying DVD Recorder in the world !. I bought it to replace a Lite-on Which after the second unit failing changed to Goodmans ... How wrong was I , I should have kept well clear . This thing has only ever written successfully to about 3 disks out of over 100 ! , yes thats a 3% success rate , I kid you not . I have thrown dvd's from Tesco's , Svp comms & even TDK Mega expensive ones into it & it doesn't recognise any . It throws them back as full , Or says they are not DVD's !! I had resorted to using the one that came with it , As this was the only disk that it seemed to work with , So I mailed Goodmans tech support (Big Joke!) asking what brand disk it was shipped with as I would buy them because it seemed to work at least 70% of the time . They couldn't even tell me what brand disk it had shipped... Read review

...The original Flintstones film was a novelty item and a chance to see how the goofy props would appear on film. The performance of John Goodman as Fred was excellent and the right person for the role. Flintstones – Viva Rock Vegas was pitiful. It is another example of how not to make a sequel. The performances were dire and the storyline of the how Fred & Wilma met was thin. I was dragged in to watch this by my kids who said it was “OK” but they were hardly raving as we set off for something fun to do.... Read review

...This movie is hilarious! When it came out in the cinema, I chose to not go and watch it because I honestly thought it would be rubbish! How wrong was I?!! A couple of days ago, my sister bought the DVD and made me watch it. I don't think I have laughed so hard! Ben Stiller brings the character of White Goodman to life and makes it his own! His acting is fantastic; he truly is a comic genius. Along with Stiller, Vince Vaughn plays Peter La Fleur, a nemesis of White Goodman played by Stiller. The movie has some great appearances from stars Gary Cole and Jason Bateman, Chuck Norris and a brief but funny appearance from Lance Armstrong- the cyclist. ...I decided to get an MP3 player so I could use it in my car - I have a tape car stereo as I never got round to buying a CD one but with a handy (also Goodmans) attachment I can plug in either a portable CD player or an MP3 player. My portable CD player is fiddly to attach and detach, bulky to carry around (along with CD collection) and when you're on the motorway it is hard to drive and change CD at the same time (I wouldnt recommend trying!!). I figured an MP3 player would be easier to use whilst driving and easier to carry with me. I couldnt afford an ipod or anything like that at the time and while shopping in my local Asda I came across the Goodmans GMP310 for an amazing price of £29.99 (I have since seen them priced at £44.99 elsewhere).
