Wow Good...man!

Advantages: Compact, light, plays home-made disks
Disadvantages: If using battery-power, not long-lasting.

...the cassette deck, is purple and the cd player's lid (which opens on the top of the player) has puple edging around it too. In the centre of the cassette panel is the digital display (you can just about see it in the picture), which shows what track you're playing, or what radio station you have on. This glows orange when in use. ~Functions~ The Goodmans GPS222 plays ordinary cds, and also wma's and mp3s (on disk). It has mw/fm stereo radio and has a single cassette deck. It can be operated by the mains lead included, or by 8 (yes, that's 8!) size C batteries. It has a 2 x 1.5 watt power outlet. You can record from the radio, or from cd, and it also has a built-in microphone. There's a standard headphone socket, and also an extra-bass button. The cd/mp3/wma player is fully programmable - so you can set it to repeat individual tracks...

To date they have had eighteen top ten singles , including three number ones. Their style of music consists of pop and electro pop. Girls Aloud : Off The Record was actually a six-part series that Girls Aloud recorded for E4. The series was then released on DVD in the United Kingdom in 2006. The show comes under the reality-tv genre. The show follows Girls Aloud on their day to day life as part of one of Britian's top girl bands.. It wasn't until recently that I knew about this DVD when I saw it sitting on a shelf in Woolworths for £6. I enjoyed watching this...

Goodmans gracious me!! (UPDATE -PANTS!!)

Advantages: Good price, attractive system, good sound
Disadvantages: Doesn't last 12 months!

...We treated our youngest to a new CD/radio for her birthday. Her old Sanyo one had broken ? the CD just died after 13 months! So we had a good look around and not wanting to spend a fortune we went for the Goodmans 1002 micro system from Argos. It cost us £64.99, not a bad price I feel. Now available for £59.99!! The unit its-self is very attractive, being primarily silver in colour. The main unit is 16cm x 17cm and 26cm deep with the speakers 22cm x 14cm x 19cm. The speakers are a pale wood colour with silver covers for the front, which can be removed if you wish and are both 12.5w. It now sits quite unobtrusively at the back of her little desk and seems to take up very little space. This micro system, however, is only a CD/radio, IT DOES NOT HAVE A TAPE DECK. We took the decision that really cassettes are a bit old hat now...

Advantages: 2 tuners, very quiet
Disadvantages: Some glitches when first set up, some interface design limitations

...This is quite a new machine (as at may 2006), so I thought I would try it out. The first problem i had was not all channels were tuned by the installation step, I had to figure out how to search a second time, all channels tuned in ok after that The box seems to find the signal strength here to be quite poor, however a different £30 freeview box that I tried yesterday here had no problems with signal strength! (Could it just be a storm in the air today?). Consequently the "no signal" window appears every few minutes. This was aggravated by the recording mode which seems to causing further screen "glitches" on channels that have poorer reception However after installing a signal amplifier, then turning off the box and switching it back on again most of the problems appeared to go away. The remote control is fairly solid...

Good quality, good value, Goodmans

I stripped out the guts, built some new speaker cabs (using the doors off my wardrobe, I under estimated how angry my mum could get) and a ?receiver? (using an old valve amp and tuner, rewired into a new case) which sounded great. I rigged up a multi input interface (switch) to play other things through the system, like the tape deck I wanted for Christmas. I was however stuck with a crappy record deck until my cousin turned up with his old Goodman?s. This was brilliant, it had a moving magnet cartridge made by ?Audio Technica? ( I had to build a pre-amp, remember those), a light alloy arm, no auto changer, too high quality for that, I was chuffed (my god! I do sound...

Goodmans, Good Luck!!!!

Advantages: Good memory
Disadvantages: scrolling display makes a clicking noise during music

...I was reluctant to buy the I-Pod because it keeps changing so much so I decided to go for the cheaper option which is the Goodman GMP38G6. It's got really good quality sound and the headphones are very comfortable. The menus are very difficult to navigate and Goodman's should work on this. One glitch I noticed is that when you're listening to music you can hear the screen display scrolling the artist and song name. It makes a very faint clicking noise as it scrolls. I phoned the helpline which is detailed on the back of the device but they weren't any help at all. It's definitely no-where near the quality of the I-Pod but is better than most mp3 and mp4 players. You can record voice but you can't easily use it to store other types of files like photos or MS office files but with some effort it is possible. You get a mini CD with it that...

...With our Sky contract coming to an end, and having put up with the last three months of the contracts price going up each month we decided not to renew the contract but to get a digital tv recorder. We decided on the recorder bit of it because we had got used to Sky plus box which let us record one programme while watching another and pausing programmes while we went out of the room and start them off again when we returned. We did have a bit of a problem finding a preview recorder with a hard disc so that we could record a programme we werent watching, plus finding one at a reasonable price. In the end we settled for Goodmans GHD1621F2 bought from would you believe Sainsburys Supermarket for £99.99 What you get In the box you get your digital television recorder, a remote control, SCART lead, 2 x AAA Batteries...

...I started of playing the descant recorder in primary school, (many years ago,) we started of with the old fashioned wooden ones, by the time I moved to secondary school , the wooden recorder had changed, it was now plastic and dark brown in colour. I was taught the descant hand recorder all through school, we were taught two ways to remember the notes the first set of notes was F - A -C - E, the way to remember this was the word "FACE". the second set of notes was E - G - B - D - F and the way to remember these notes was to remember a short rhymn, which is "every good boy deserves fun." There is about 4 or 5 other recorders, one of them being the treble, Im not sure about the rest of them as I never played them, I just stuck to the wee descant recorder.
