A Truly Awful Racing Game! Project Gotham Racing 3

Advantages: Lots of cars
Disadvantages: Bad gameplay, graphics, handling

...I bought this game because I saw it in Game station for about £5 and thought it was going to be really good. I had also heard of Project Gotham 4 and how it was a really good game and thought that this game was going to be a really fun and realistic racing game. How wrong I was! I have to admit I have not played this game much as I just hated it so much and have better games to play with so my review may not be completely accurate. Having played Gran Turismo on the PS2 (which is a fantastic game) I thought this would be similar. It is not. The gameplay is awful and the graphics in the game were terrible compared to other Xbox 360 games even if this was one of the first games released. I think the graphics are worse than Gran Turismo 4 on the PS2 which was made before this game on a system with worse graphics! I suppose a good thing...

Racing Goes Gotham

Advantages: Excellent Graphics and sound. Great fun in 2 Player
Disadvantages: Can be a bit limiting until more tracks are unlocked

...One of my favorite racing games of all time was MSR on the Dreamcast. Gran Turismo may have had more cars and better physics than all the other driving games, but MSR showed the world that driving can be FUN. Well, Microsoft have now found this out too, because Project Gotham is a sequel to the only driving game with Kudos style. Project Gotham is all about driving. Well, for a car game that sounds pretty obvious, but it's the way the game is designed to reward how you drive as well as how fast you can get from A to B. Most of the time you'll find yourself trying to impress the game with the style of your cornering and the fact that you don't actually scrape the walls every time you swing round a bend as well as trying to beat the clock or another car. ...This is the most fun I've ever had in a racing game. I've played and owned many, but Project Gotham is still the most enjoyable game. I purchased it as a launch title, and I still play it about two hours a week. Read the following to find out why this is the best racing game ever. Let me start out by saying that Project Gotham Racing is an arcade game. If you're looking for a simulation game, then look elsewhere (I suggest Sega GT 2002)! ...Project Gotham Racing 4 (PGR4) improves on where Project Gotham Racing 3 left off. The gameplay is roughly the same, and it's very much an arcade game. It's very easy to powerslide round corners at 150mph etc - something which would be very difficult in real life! There are a wide range of tracks (although they're nearly all city based). There's only one proper race track, and that's the Nurburgring. There are also now bikes in PGR4, which are, bluntly, crap. They have good speed but the handling is rubbish, they can't turn at all! Cars are far better in terms of racing, although it's quite fun doing wheelies etc on the bikes. There are quite a few choices of cars, and they all do over 150mph.
