Mobile Internet Access
Advantages: Mobile Internet access wherever you go..
Disadvantages: Good rate only when connected to 3G
...fast and definitely not time consuming as compared to a dial up connection.
Its a real broadband connection speed.
Benefits & Coverage
You dont have to worry about finding hotspots etc., you have the broadband on the move. To be honest i have not tried this underground in the tubes. I defintely think it will not work there.
Mostly it gets the 3G connection, if there is a drop it will switch over to the GPRS connection and you will not know the change, but the speed will be slow when it is on GPRS connection.
I have been using this for the last 45 days and i am always connected on the move.
Customer Service
I had problems with cards. Whenever i was connected through that card, my system used to crash randomly. I thought it was a microsoft problem. I logged a call with them, and they went through all...

Brava Two Zero this is Oscar Two Zero come in,over
Advantages: range of features, small, light, colour display
Disadvantages: looking like a complete idiot
...I simply had to write this review after I found that they actually listed the product on Ciao as I feel I have to share my experiences of using the product with you. That?s right my friends it is a watch phone!
My husband got a pair of these to try through his work, I don?t know a great deal about the technical aspects of the watch phone other than what is listed by the manufacturer so I?ll mainly be focussing on the practical side of using the product.
The phone has gone through several stages of development and was due to be released in 2003, however I?m reliably informed that it has not yet been released as they are making some final adjustments to it before launching it. There have been several models and we are now the proud owners (at least for a little while until he has to give them back!) of a pair of Samsung GPRS Watch...

Vodafone 3G Data Card
Advantages: Quick delivery, ease of installation, ease of use.
Disadvantages: Limited 3G coverage, fragile external aerial socket, temperamental software
...I bought this data card as I spend a lot of time away from home with the Army, but didnt wamt to get a landline fitted in my room in the barracks.
This seemed like a good idea at the time and although, overall I am impressed with the item there are a few points which don't make it as good a buy as you'd imagined. Ok good points first.
*Came securely packaged in a double DVD style case.
*The software that came with it was easily and quickly installed and didn't take long to get the program working.
*Receives good coverage of GPRS and a basic 56k dial up signal can usually be picked up
Bad Points
*Switchover from 3G to GPRS is NOT seamless as the product would imply. If you are in a limited 3G area the product will switch between 3G and GPRS repeatedly resulting in dropped packets, resetting your connection and slowing...

The sign of things to come..
Advantages: Connect your laptop to work and the internet anywhere
Disadvantages: Costly for large data transfers, 3G coverage still patchy
...the infrared, serial and parallels ports. After the starting up it connected first time. I later found out that a port number that the 3G connect card requires is already allocated to the Infrared device on my Dell laptop. It think it's a problem limited to a few factors including my work insisting on Windows 2000 which doesn't handle devices as will as XP and maybe a particular model of Dell because my colleagues that have a similar Dell laptop have also had the same problem.
Connecting
-------------
The software is really easy to use but just has the look and feel of a student coursework written in Visual Basic. It really does the job you want but is just slow, clumsy and error messages are not helpful. What the software does is great. From this single application you can use your 3G connect card to connect to the GPRS, 3G network (even when...

Awesome PDA with all features.
Advantages: You can also install new software's and games in it. Great connectivity features.
Disadvantages: Sound is bit low. Cam is poor. Not a friendly interface.
...Backup, Jawbreaker, Solitaire, and much more.
I customize my I-Mate with tremendous software's and 3d games. And it's really give impressive look.
◘◘◘◘◘ CONNECTIVITY ◘◘◘◘◘
"Connectivity: 9/10"
As you know it is PDA and PDAs must have too much connectivity functions and features. In which two Bluetooth and infrared are common. But it also has Network Cards, GPRS, CSD Line Type, Connections, etc. one thing is missing in it that is Wi-Fi. It doesn't have built-in Wi-Fi function. But you can add Wi-Fi card in it to use that feature.
The main and basic function which I use most is Bluetooth. Because whenever I am in my friends then I should have to use this function to share some excellent things. And the good thing is you can send more than 1 file to others at the same time...

But where is the kitchen sink - GPRS update
Advantages: too many to list here ... see main review
Disadvantages: UI and odd aerial
...SEE THE BOTTOM OF THIS REVIEW FOR AN UPDATE ON MY CURRENT EXPERIENCES WITH GPRS
-----------------------
Well I?ve had Nokia?s and I?ve had Motorola phones but now I?m on an Ericsson T39m ? what a phone.
I?ve have a lot of praise for this little phone, and only small criticisms so lets get those out of the way first.
The User Interface is a bit tricky ? but then after a Nokia Phone what could be easier? And the aerial sticks out so the phone doesn?t lie flat.
They are my complaints.
The good points?
Prepare yourself.
Firstly there is the size of the phone. It?s minute. It comfortably fits in your shirt pocket and doesn?t alter the shape of your clothing in the process. Normally a phone of this size with such excellent battery life would have a heavy battery ? not the T39m! The battery is ultra slim (I?m talking...

T610 and GPRS via Bluetooth
Advantages: Email, Bluetooth, GPRS and caller access-lists
Disadvantages: Camera is poor
...This is not a love song. It's an ode to a Geek.
It's information on GPRS and Bluetooth using a Sony Ericsson T610.
It works.
I read and write emails via my service provider on the T610. No big deal. Just not long ones.
I have also set up my Toshiba 3110CT Laptop to dialup to the Internet via a Bluetooth USB adapter and the Bluetooth interface on the T610.
I use the dialler prefix of *99***1# in front of the ISP dialup number in the modem setup on the laptop. This seems to be standard in whatever country you're in as it tells the mobile phone you're about to dial an external number. The 1 before the hash is the number of the data accounts CID on your mobile phone.
Most Bluetooth adapters come with PC/Laptop setup instructions so it should be all quite straight forward.
Windows XP SP2 now has a Bluetooth client, but...

Great value and Very reliable
Advantages: Good cheap way of getting internet on the move
Disadvantages: Took a little time to find the right AP address
...I bought the 3g datacard off ebay for a fairly good price. I was intending to use it with the ubuntu linux operating system, after I read that other people have been successful in getting it to work on Ubuntu.
The card has a small LED which lights up according to the status of the card. It lights up red when it can't find a signal, or it's trying to find a signal. The LED goes green if you are able to connect to a GPRS connection. GPRS usually gives you around 4KB/s speed, which isn't fast at all. But if you find that you have the great little blue light, you're good to go onto the 3g network. 50KB/s. Much faster.
I've found that this card has been quite reliable at keeping a signal. I'm using the driver that is built into ubuntu linux, which helped setting up the card easily and quickly.
This is great value seeing that most 3g...

NEO 808i - super compact GPRS/GSM mobile phone
Advantages: Compact size, full phone features.
Disadvantages: Very poor PC/sync link, 1 hour talk time, drops calls, BlueTooth limited
...Surprising little phone but with a couple of major issues and quite a number of minor issues too...
(See text - review revised after using the phone for 3 months.)
Packed full of all the features you would expect in a full-sized phone! Pretty easy to use even though it is tiny - keyboard is good, screen is good, build quality is great.
No 3G, but GPRS works ok.
ISSUE 1:
BlueTooth functions ok, but ONLY with headsets - you cannot send contact cards and so far the NEO 808i refuses to work with any hards-free car kit (I've tried 2 different Alpine iPod/BlueTooth units, a built-in VW/Audi unit, a built-in BMW unit, and 2 different Parrot units).
Note, the BlueTooth support is limited to audio devices only. For those whom know how BlueTooth works, this translates to the hands-free profile. The phone does not appear to...

The amazing i-mate JAM
Advantages: High spec, good looks, smallest PDA available and great value for money.
Disadvantages: No intergrated WiFi and less RAM than some PDA's.
...I first became addicted to Pocket PC?s with my HP IPAQ 4150 which was a birthday present from my husband. I quickly found I could not live without it.
Then when I came to renew my mobile phone contract I thought ?wouldn?t it be great to have a Pocket PC and Phone in one?. A techie friend had showed my his Smartphone but after using a windows based Pocket PC I knew it wasn?t for me ? I was clearly spoilt, I needed a user friendly interface and top notch performance. Then my husband introduced to me to i-mate.
I browsed the i-mate website, saw the JAM, and knew I had to have it.
So what is it?
The i-mate JAM is the smallest Windows Pocket PC available.
It includes an internal GSM/GPRS Tri-band (900/1800/1900GSM) antenna for voice and data calls - perfect for picking up emails or surfing the web whilst on the move.
It...
