Photo Viewer You can view most photographic formats on the psp and if you have a sony cybershot camera all you do is pop out the card put it in your psp and the photos just appear. You can even send photos from one psp to another like a mobile phone.
Music Player: Your basic mp3 player with a cool visualizer feature. There isn't much to say about this apart from the folder option, which is basically like an mp3 players folders.

There is SO MUCH you can do with the Sony PSP - it's quite unbelievable. My unit is in Japanese - but I'm fortunate to be able to read and understand Japanese - so I can provide an accurate review.

It's a slick looking, portable device, tha is a BRILLIANT games machine, and is also a music player, and a UMD (more on UMD later) player. ...This is an ideal portable console/MP3 Player and MP4 Player for all. Since having the PSP I no longer find myself bored whilst on the train to work. I generally use it for gaming and watching movies. The gameplay/graphics are awesome for such a small device. The added bonus of the PSP is that you can switch it off and when you switch it back on again it allows you to play where you left off even if this is half way through a football match.
As for movie capability, this is straight forward. As long as you have a large enough memory card, you can load MP4 files and watch movies on the go with the PSP.
I don't really use the PSP as an MP3 player as it's a little too bulky for the pocket. I don't think this is the main benefit of the PSP but the option's there.

I got this about a year ago and I play it all most all the time when I'm out and about anyway on with the review.
Features
The PSP has many great features for example the internet option which you need an access point or hot spot for.
Some of the other features include the downloaded games, video, music and pictures options which you can download from the official PSP website from your PSP or use your computer to gain access to the full PSP website which has more downloads. it is essentially the old PSP with a few a few minor changes.These are the changes:
It can store game data in the cache so the PSP doesn't consistently have to access the UMD, which speeds up load times.
The UMD drive is no longer the springloaded type, and is now like a drawer.
The memory stick panel is now a pull-out area.
The Slim has video out, and and transmit video to a TV. Games appear in a letterbox format.
The Slim has a modified earphone jack, to enable video out.

First off the PSP is the best handheld console out there at the moment. Mine rarely leaves my side as it can play music, store pictures, play games, surf the internet wirelessly, play movies and many more things. So if you are determined to own a hand held console the PSP is the right choice to make...If you have the money.
PRICE
The price of the PSP and its accessories have dropped alot since the inital release so now is a good time to get one. When the PSP was launced just over a year ago now it was around £180-£250 depending on how many extras you wanted. The Memory cards have also come down in price, almost by half (The 1GB ((gigabyte) memory card was about £80 - £100 but is now around £50)) as have the UMD movies.
