Gracefully Funny

Advantages: Fun acting, excellent timing, beautiful setting, lots of laughs

It Could Have Been Grace Kelly

Advantages: one of Hitchcock's most intriguing films
Disadvantages: some of the scenes are blatantly faked

...treats her like a naughty spoilt younger sister and doesn't really scold her for trying to cause Marnie misery. One of the plot flaws which stood out a lot for me was Marnie's fear of the colour red, except she had no issues with wearing bright red lipstick. You see shots of her freaking out when she sees red flowers at her mother's house and a red shirt on a jockey and the screen goes completely red with Marnie on screen. These were cleverly done and the effect was to make the audience feel what Marnie was feeling and it worked! We all see red too! Tippi Hedren was well cast for the role, although Grace Kelly was to have played the role originally, I can't quite imagine anyone else as effective in the role as Hedren was for me. ...Of course, most people know the story of Edward Kelly, or more famously, Ned Kelly, the great Australian 'Outlaw'. But why was he given this name. This story tries to paint the picture that writer Robert Drewe portrays in his book, one of the many therorys about the infamous Irish/Australian. And so to the film. It starts out 3 years before the major part of the movie, when Ned, played by Heath Ledger, is wrongly imprisoned for stealing a horse. Disadvantages: Very stereotypical.

...Will & Grace is a Emmy award winning sitcom that aired between 1998-2006. The show takes place in New York City and focuses on Will Truman, a gay lawyer and his best friend Grace Adler, a straight Jewish girl who runs her own interior design firm. That show sounds boring, why is it so good I hear you ask. The casting directors hired two perfect actors to play Will & Grace. Eric McCormack who plays Will isn't too gay like someone else in the show, so it makes it seem plausible that Grace thought he was straight. Debra Messing who plays Grace is just so bubbly and eccentric that you can't help but love her. Most importantly though it's the chemistry between Will & Grace that pulls you in, I myself always thought that they'd get together in the end. ...You will probably know of Simon Webbe as he was in the popular british boy band Blue, since they split up a couple of years ago he has gone solo and released two albums. He is the most successful solo member from Blue, and out of all four members he probably has the best voice. He has been compared to other artists such as Lighthouse Family and Seal; I can definitely see the comparisons with these artists as their music is similar. Grace is Simon's second album and is full of soulful pop songs. Coming Around Again - This was the first single from the album, and is a catchy feel good song about how if you have troubles on your mind you should put them to one side and watch the good times come round again. ...For years, my former flatmate kept telling me I should listen to ?Grace?, the one studio album Jeff Buckley released before his premature demise. For years, I resisted, in much the same way as I have stubbornly resisted her calls to listen to Radiohead and Beck. After all, what I had heard of those I hadn?t enjoyed and if they were symptomatic of her musical tastes, then I could quite happily survive without ever hearing Jeff Buckley. Another reason for my reluctance to listen to Jeff Buckley was Kurt Cobain. Cobain is another musician who dies too young and his music has been revered ever since, despite not actually deserving it. Would we still be talking about Nirvana with such regularity had he still been alive and the band had just split up? Somehow, I doubt it. ...This is by far my favourite Kelly Clarkson album. I have every every album by her so far. Her first album, just after winning American Idol back in 2002 didnt really do a lot for me, a bit too cheesy and 'pop' for my liking. I guess she didnt really have a big say in what she recorded back then. Good news is, her style seems to have changed. Now more toward a pop/rock kinda sound i find im really liking her again. Choice of genre was a little bit of a shock to some listeners, thinking she'd stick to the safe ballad route but good on her for going for something different.
