...This is the new standard of racing, with its amazing standard of graphics creating a resolution of 1080p/i.There are over 70 cars to choose from. The only problem is, is that the game is lacking in racing tracks there are only six but they are so gripping you can not get bored of them. If you want to play this game with a friend in your own home don't be put of by the box only saying it's a one player game there is a 2p battle option. Advantages: Car lovers will get plenty out of this game
Disadvantages: If you dislike cars and driving sims, this won't be for you

...Wow, what can I say. 600 cars, all fully cusomiseable, loads of circuits, all technically different from each other, the usual excellent graphics for the cars, no discernable popup, a drivers dream. Gran Turismo 2 excels as a driving simulator, the cars handle perfectly, the AI of your opponents is to the same standard as the previous incarnation of GT, and strategically choosing the right car can be pretty important too. There are many more competition categories to enter, including manufacturer's cups, and there is a good chance that if you own your own car for real, you could find it in this game, including the "Italian Job" Mini Cooper. Overall, plenty of longevity and playability here, compares very well with other driving genres, but the Gran Turismo series are still in a league of their own....

...I bought Gran turismo 4 prologue Limited edition (includes "Making of Gran Turismo 4 DVD) as soon as it hit the shops. They released this in order for you to prepare yourself for the challenges that you face in GT4. Basically it is a prelude of whats to come. It is only a 1 player game and you need an 8Mb Ps2 Memory card in order to save your game (uses a minimum of 150kb). It is compatible with analog control and vibration function. I will start by saying just how much i thourougly enjoyed playing this, in my opinion Gran Turismo 4 is one of the best racing games available to buy. Gran Turismo 5 Prologue

Advantages: amazing graphics, online play, true racing experience
Disadvantages: repetitive, poor online options, glorified demo

...Before i start please bare in mind this is a just glorified demo of not a full game, so dont expect the world! I picked up a copy of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue on release day after being a loyal fan of the series and blown away by the level of detail gone into the game. With 4 different classes to try and pass there is plenty to keep you occupied with. Im a fan of racing games and generaly race in the view inside the car and the detail of normal is minimal but GT5 prollouge take it to the next level. You can clearly see the time and effort put into making the cars as accurate as they could in and out of the car. Even the tracks seem to of been made inch perfect to their real life counter-parts. Only problem is that there is only 6 tracks, but these can be reversed to make you get a further 6 'new' tracks. But enough of the detail...

.... The game comes with two disks: Arcade and Simulation, and they do exactly what they say. The Arcade disk lets you race the tracks you have unlocked in Simulation with a good selection of cars, and also includes a well balanced two player feature. The Simulation disk contains the ‘Career Mode’ game where you earn money. I thoroughly enjoy playing this game, and I think that is one of the best racers for the PlayStation. If you like driving games, you’ll like GT2....
