...I stayed in the Grand Hyatt for 12 wks. I must admit when I landed in Mumbai I was surprised of how close this hotel is to the airport...15mins. There is 2 Hyatts in Mumbai, one is called the Grand Hyatt, the other just the Hyatt. Ok first of all when I seen the outside of this Hotel I was well impressed, although I was a little worried about the security..first of all when we drove in the underneath of the car was checked...then as we drove to the front I seen 2 dog handlers and a metal detector that you have to walk through after you get all your bags checked... ...I had never been to New York until the 29th December, so I had no idea were to stay and how much I would need to be paying. Lucky for me I was travelling with some relatives who booked the holiday so I didn't have to spend forever trawling the Internet. ...My husband and I have just gotten back from a trip to Las Vegas and chose the MGM hotel to stay at so this forms my review. The MGM is located right on the strip (Las Vegas Boulevard) right by Tropicana Avenue so fairly near one end of the strip. It is located close to the New York New York hotel and there is actually a walkway which joins the two hotels to give you easy access to both. The hotel in its present form was opened at the end of 1993. Most of the hotels in Las Vegas have a certain them that they like to promote through each of their casinos such at NY NY, Paris, The Venetian etc. The MGM in my opinion is not as heavily themed as the other hotels but follows along the lines of old Hollywood/California movies stars etc with the feature of the MGM lion and movie star photos in the bedrooms. ...We have just returned from a Week-end in Porto. We were looking for a Hotel that had good location and some olde world charm, so this one seemed to tick the boxes. We booked it thru Octopustravel.com for £165 that being for a Double Room with Buffet Breakfast for three nights (About £27 per person per night B&B). Getting to the Hotel from the Airport can not be easier. Five Star Grand Cypress next to DisneyWorld

Advantages: Magnificent resort hotel. Self contained. Good rewards. A superb well maintained self contained Resort hotel complex adjacent to DisneyWorld. More than enough things to keep interests aroused.
Disadvantages: Could be considered expensive.

Review of Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress Resort Hotel - Florida

Pestana Grand Hotel - Funchal, Madeira.

Advantages: Good rooms, helpful staff, free bus into town
Disadvantages: Its a bus ride from town.

...We booked a last minute holiday in Madeira in september 2007 and on the advice of our agent decided to go for the Pestana Grand hotel. The hotel was rated as a 5 star by our agent although this site rightly has it as a four-star. We booked on a bed & breakfast basis and with flights and transfers It cost us about £650 each for the week . On arrival the reception staff were very helpful and spoke excellent English. We had been booked into a mountain view room and asked if we could upgrade to a sea view. This was no problem for, I think, an extra £20 per night. This was well worth it as we noticed that the mountain view rooms all overlooked the car park.
