...The hotel was offering some special offers last month so me and my boyfriend decided to stay there for the weekend when visiting London. It has an ideal location. We went down by train and it's only about 15 minutes walk from Euston station, or a few bus stops away. We arrived early so we left our luggage and was told to get back after 2. The lobby is not huge but nicely decorated. There is an Egyptian sculpture next to the lift, kind of like a replica of those you see in museum, quite special. Again I have to praise its location. It didnot take us long before we reached New Oxford street by foot. Bear in mind it was January when the sale was still going on-I could start my shopping straightaway. The Great Grange

Advantages: Great Location, Huge Executive Rooms
Disadvantages: Quite expensive

...I stayed at the Grange Holborne for 2 nights in April 2005. The trip was a special birthday treat for my mother and it was important to me that the hotel was particularly special. When I was looking for a hotel for our stay I saw that this came highly recommended by a number of websites and so booked an executive twin at a cost of £135.00 per night. On checking in we quickly noticed that, although the reception area was quite small, the staff all seemed to be incredibly efficient and helpful. We arrived quite early and although our room wasn't ready they quickly arranged for us to leave our luggage so that we could get on with enjoying our trip to the big city. The Grange, good but it should be exellent !

Advantages: Good location, nice food , wi-fi service provided
Disadvantages: Limited parking space, over priced

...I'm a huge fan of York and frequently pay visits to this historic town, I have stayed in a fair few of the good hotels York has to offer. As a nice weekend treat in before christmas in december I decided to try The Grange as it holds a very high reputation throughout York and is generally seen as a quality hotel. Anyway on to my stay at The grange, first impressions the building is situated within waking distance from the town centre which is handy but the building is not set back from the road so noise can become a problem in the front rooms as the road in which it is located (bootham) is a main road in York and is busy at most times.Next onto the parking faciities, I consider these to be quite inadequate for a hotel of this size it has 40+ rooms with little room for more than 20 cars and also needs to allow space for people...

THE GRANGE, LONG WITTENHAM, BED & BREAKFAST

...My husband is originally from Wallingford in Oxfordshire. Most of his family live in North Devon as do we, but we travel up occasionally to see some of his old friends. Last year we were looking for a cheap B&B in the Wallingford area and this was the closest that we could find. Long Wittenham is a lovely village which is about a 15 minute drive from Oxford. The village itself has three pubs which all serve good food and entertainment. The Grange is a small Bed & Breakfast in Long Wittenham. A celebration hotel break.

Advantages: Near the motorway, wonderful food, comfortable rooms
Disadvantages: Nothing to do in Barton

...Firstly Barton Grange hotel is no longer with Best Western. It is a Classic Hotel. Secondly it is 4 star! To quote their rating "A Deluxe 4 star hotel is exceptionally well maintained with deluxe standards of accommodation, facilities and public rooms that offer every comfort with excellent service." Do I agree? Well read on and you will see what I think! My husband was searching for a hotel half way between where we live in Scotland and where my sister and her husband live in England. Gruesome Groosham Grange!

Advantages: Excellent Characters, storyline and descriptions
Disadvantages: It's difficult to put down!

...This book is a must read for all children, but not when they are too young! But be warned, once they start reading they'll be hooked! I first read this book at the age of ten and instantly prompted my sister to do the same. My sister has never really been one for reading, until she read this, now she can't stop! This book has one of those great storylines which although you know it's been made up, does seem in places possible. O.K, so maybe the beginning is a bit unbelievable, with the father stabbing and running over the mother, but it had me laughing for days! In this book, we follow a young boy, David who has been expelled from his super posh boarding school to a new school for which the prospectus mysteriously arrives. His parents, desperate to get rid of him instantly decide it is the school for him and he is packed off...

...(Please note, this is now a 'Best Western' Hotel rather than a Hilton.) My Husband booked a two-night stay here for our first anniversary. We were looking forward to a lovely few days away. Two weeks before our stay, I telephoned to book some spa treatments. I was put through to the 'triangle' spa centre. The member of staff on the other end of the phone was very rude and unhelpful, and announced that there were no treatments of any kind available at any time during our stay. He then hung up. I phoned the hotel back to complain. They said there was nothing they could do. Anyway, we booked a day spa in Manchester called 'inner sanctuary' (which was absolutely lovely!) and decided to put it behind us. Great modern 5* London hotel

...My wife and I stayed at the Grange City Hotel over the most recent bank holiday weekend. Having stayed in many London hotels that have tiny rooms and feel fairly overpriced, I was pleasantly surprised with the Grange City Hotel. The room was fantastic, and huge! The king size bed, desk, radio, tv with local channels, business channels as well as several sports and foreign language channels, and the option of internet and pay movies. Each room has a safe, iron, and tea and coffee making facilites. The minibar was even computerised! (be careful you don't touch anything unless you want to pay for it!) The bathroom was immense, modern, and had a large bath and a separate shower. Our room was supposed to come with 2 monogramed bathrobes, although they weren't there when we arrived. A PEARL OF AN ISLAND

Advantages: Friendly staff, plenty to do and see, entertainment provided, beautiful views
Disadvantages: you have to walk outside to get from chalet to main building, great in good weather not so great if you are dressed up to the nines and its raining

It was 3 yrs ago we visited Norton Grange and if it has followed the hotels, the restaurant service would have changed last year to a wider variety of food to choose from a buffet bar.
