...Even though I can't play guitar anymore, there is a piece of equipment which I am reluctant to sell in the event that one day I am able to pick up the guitar again. That is my Danelectro DJ-14 Fish & Chips 7-band equaliser. What does it do? An equaliser allows you to emphasise certain bands of frequency of your guitar sound through the amp. With 7 bands clearly there is more room for precise defining than say, the bass, middle and treble settings of your average guitar (practice) amp. Of course you need it to be switched on, but outside of practice the trick is to use it to switch between two contrasting tones. -> Example <- I like my metal, like heavy metal. In metal music in particular, cutting back on the middle frequencies and boosting those of the bass and treble gives a typical 'scooped' metal tone for rocking and riffing...

Next-Gen Graphics? No. Next-Gen Technology? Yes!

Advantages: Original Control System, Great Value.
Disadvantages: Sold out Everywhere!, Lacks the Power of its Rivals, Lacks DVD Player!

...In this review I'm going to be covering Nintendo's Latest Games Console, the Wii. Graphics 7.5/10 Starting at it's weakest point, the Wii's graphics are only slightly better than the Nintendo Gamecube. It doesn't pack near the graphics capability that the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 do, but they're not horrible. Power 7.5/10 As far as power goes the Wii once again takes 3rd place against the 360 and the PS3 sporting around a 1GHz processor, 88MB RAM, and a fairly weak Video Card, its not particularly powerful, but that's obviously not the Wii's main purpose. One thing it also lacks is an internal harddrive which is once again found in both of it's rivals, but it does come with half a gig of flash memory which is easily enough to store your game saves. Control System 9.5/10 Nintendo really scored big with this area...
