...I have found that, over the years, the name gray nicholls is synonymous with quality and they certainly live up to this title with this bat, made to celebrate the millennium. The class of the company is noticed when one considers the number of international cricketers around the globe that endorse their products. In this bat they, once again, manage to get a good pick up and balance, something I find quite hard to find, especially on slazenger and newbury bats. One also has the option of being able to customise where you want the middle, for example, lower down if you intend to play on damp soft pitches, or higher up if the grounds are harder and somewhat bouncier. ...In my experience of Gray-Nicholls bats there has been a mixed bag, Gray Nicholls rate all their bats with stars and the rating is from one to 5 (5 being the best) now I have used a 3 star bat right up to the 5 star ones and i'll tell you now that if you want to be the batsman of the season and hit 100's of runs then the bat to get is a Gray-Nicholls with a 5 star rating. Many top international and county players use them and they perform time and time again. Most of their bats are made in England with premium english willow anyway which automatically makes them a cut above the rest. The bat is the trademark bat of Michael Atherton remade and is perfect for guiding the ball around the ground for 4's and can also be used by the more attacking batsman to hit that ball for six. ...promising future in an attempt to save Nicole from her self-destructive one. The film ends in an interesting and heart warming way, it is a satisfying and realistic final that restores faith for both love and life, it also reflects real life while supporting beliefs of true love without the soppy, mushy effect created by so many other teen chick flicks. You also get to see the lovely Carlos in a naval uniform - woohoo! The DVD also contains an audio commentary, 4 deleted scenes as well as the theatrical trailer that was shown in the cinema. The soundtrack is also very good, it has a lot of latino influenced songs which works well with the setting of the film, as well as one of my all time favourite songs "This years love" by David Gray. Advantages: A romantic teen film with no stupid comedy
Disadvantages: No really memorable scenes. strange mix of latino and love ballads on soundtrack. Acting is only average.

Disadvantages: A Teeny Weeny Bit Slow (just a bit!)

...it on and sat there glued to the screen for 96 minutes. I made EVERYONE leave me in the living room alone so if I smiled, cried, laughed etc. they wouldn’t know! Oh and if I drooled (over Jay of course) they wouldn’t see how pathetic I really am! This film is just so romantic, definitely one the girls would enjoy. None of my friends had seen it so they forced me to lend them my DVD…no!!! But I did *sob* and they loved it too. I adore teen movies but this isn’t your average teen movie. It actually had a decent storyline and isn’t a comedy movie. THE PLOT~~ The movie begins with Carlos (*sigh*) and his other Latino mates hanging out by the pier. They spot a white girl cleaning trash and they decide to go up to her and ask her why she’s doing community service. Her name is Nicole. ...David Gray's first album 'White Ladder' was advertised on TV prior to release and the advert built it up in the same way Radioheads 'The Bends ' was touted as the best album ever. I first heard the album at a freinds and was taken by the strength of Gray's vocals in what is a melodic and soulful range of tracks. His distinctive style is like no other that I have heard and coming from a Metal/Thrash background, I was surprised that I liked this album so much. I would reccommend that everybody should listen to this this album and not just rate on the one song that has entered the charts.... Read review

...Now, I am a big fan of Nicole Kidman and this is one of the main reasons that I actually went to the see the film. The film starts with a scene of Nicole lying in her bed and we see her wake up screaming.. Throughout the film Nicole portrays the role of a forgotten housewife left behind by her husband who went away to fight in the war. Nicole is left alone with two children to bring up who are allergic to sunlight and thus must be kept behind curtains at all times. 3 people turn up at the door of the manor to ask for work. There is then about another 30mins of atmospheric build up before the weird stuff starts happening. The children 'see' ghosts.
